Here we go. Couldn't think of a witty thread title. Soz!

We hang out all year here. We do have a coastal breeze though. It dries much quicker indoors if it's had at least some time outside.

I just checked ours and it's dry. I didn't get it in though as I'm cooking dinner and that's multitasking too far! 🤣

My jeans still feel like they've just come out of the machine. So annoying. I haven't got anywhere to hang it indoors as all of our underwear is on the clothes horse. Will hang it out again tomorrow I guess. It's been so warm and sunny too.

lachy · 15/09/2021 18:10

@BiddyPop I feel your pain! I have a lot of meetings about things that people don't want to happen and there is no need for. And many many meetings that could be emails.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2021 18:17

@lachy, do you think you'll get your Booths road trip this year? Did we decide on Knutsford?!

My place likes meetings. So. Many. Meetings.

That's weird re your jeans, Wreck. Was it particularly still today?

Xmas Shock tomorrow is the DrumRoll , Hoist The Flags Big One-Zero-Zero

I will tell everyone I speak to my DS he'll tut at me judgily .

I'm idly looking at Christmas things , don't need any new bedding . Saw some Hallowe'en bedding (George at Asda) online . That's more bonkers than Christmas bedding . It is one night ( though I;m stretching it over the two this year as its a weekend)

I am pacing myself , don't want to peak too soon then have them roll out the nice things end Nov ...but I don't want everything to sell out Xmas Grin

Writing lists (that is theraputic )

WreckTangled · 15/09/2021 20:28

It was quite still today I suppose.

Poor dd is still trying to do her homework. She sat down to do it the second she got home at 4:15 and stopped for a quick dinner and shower but that's it.

That's rough Wreck. Is there so much that it's taking this long or is she struggling with the content?

WreckTangled · 15/09/2021 20:54

She had 788 English questions to answer....and now we're not even sure if she's done the right thing because the teacher doesn't seem to be uploading it properly....

TheWoollybacksWife · 15/09/2021 20:59

788 questions! That's insane!!

WreckTangled · 15/09/2021 21:02

I know, I didn't really realise as she was just getting on with it. It's the only thing that was on the website though and it had her class teacher and name etc so she assumed that was the homework. Will have to wait and see I guess. I think I'll go to bed too 🥱

TheWoollybacksWife · 15/09/2021 21:05

At year 7 homework is 30-40 minutes per subject. It sounds like she's done the entire half term's work. Hopefully she'll have Wednesday night off until October.

In other news I might have given my DS's form tutor the impression that DS is a murdering psychopath 😂😂

pussycatlickinglollyices · 15/09/2021 21:10

Woolly Well done. 🤞🤣
Wreck I think the teacher may well have accidentally put a whole term of homework on in one go. Your poor DD Shock

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2021 21:11

How have you done that, Woolly?! 🤣🤣

Wreck, that sounds like the teacher hasn't put it on the website correctly. I'm sure she's ahead of where she should be though!

Meet the tutor evening at school. I mentioned that CCF was teaching DS the skills to kill us. Skills he already had from karate. My mouth runs away with me when I'm nervous. Thank god there was no booze - it could have been so much worse!!

ConstantlyCooking · 15/09/2021 22:54

Thank you for the birthday wishes for DH. He celebrated by injuring his back assembling a new desk. Hopefully it's not too serious but he's going to have to pull out of a local race at the weekend.
Hope you're all recovered from noro hairspray. It has ripped through school now all the bubbles and social distancing has stopped (plus some of the younger ones just lick stuff!). Re AL I preferred to have the quieter time outside main school hols so you can go at a slower pace. Plus museums and similar are quieter. Hope your first day back went well!
Happy birthday to MrFirefly!
Thanks to Fluffy on a different thread, I have signed up for the Good Housekeeping Christmas bundle - I know I have just de-cluttered but I want to have a pre- festive treat!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2021 06:36

Double figures tomorrow! Whoop! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

Happy birthday to MrFirefly today. 🎉🎉

It's forecast nice here again today. The sun now takes ages to get onto the greenhouse though; the door now stays shut to keep it warmer!

WreckTangled · 16/09/2021 06:54

Oh no woolly Grin

It's meant to be nice again here too but is definitely chillier this morning.

Ds has his school photo this year and he's having a meltdown over it as he hates having his photo taken.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2021 07:40

DH just reminded me, when he mentioned that the ground looked wet, that it absolutely chucked it down overnight. It started loud and got louder and louder! It didn't last long, I don't think! It was enough to wake me though.

Woolly, your DS will be useful in a zombie apocalypse, I'm sure! Swift kick to the head, and job's a good 'un! 🧟‍♀️ 🧟‍♂️

Nice weather here as well, but a definite hint of an icy chill in the air!

SoloISland · 16/09/2021 07:47

Well I may soon start knitting Christmas bells and angels for a tree etc and to give.... The bells have real jungles...lol JINGLES... Message me if you would like one? I used to sell at craft fairs and have a small tree with all hand made decorations..About finger length..

ShadowsInTheDarkness · 16/09/2021 07:52

Hi, please may I join? I have lurked on these threads for ages, and am officially the mad Christmas person in our family 🎄

CrazyBaubles · 16/09/2021 08:49

Xmas Grin 100 means we're almost there now!

Fluffy your bad influence continues as I've just bought the GH Christmas bundle

I've also just bought some Christmas presents - I stumbled on 6 unicorn child purses for £10 on Amazon so I've nabbed them.
I'll give one to niece on the weekend (it's nephews birthday but she's too little to fully get it so I like to give her something too) then split the other 5 between kids I buy Christmas presents for Xmas Smile

languagelover96 · 16/09/2021 09:04

Getting me excited for Xmas now. Anyone have any recommendations for books in French- would love to buy some this year but no clue what to get etc.

NerosFiddle · 16/09/2021 09:10

Morning.

Happy birthday firefly Dh.

Crazy don't go on the bargain thread. I keep seeing stuff and buying them. I've also hid them and do t know where they are now. 🤷‍♀️

Nearly double figures time!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/09/2021 09:34

I decided against the bundle in the end, as I just don't read the GH I get sent monthly (free gift with my bank). So much so, I've chosen cinema tickets as my gift for next year!

I did order the single copy Christmas one though, and December is my last free one, which I do like.
