Another thanks for the joules tip. I got the Fluffy hoho socks, 2x dino festive socks, 2x bat tops for Halloween, a pair of shoes for DH, monster claw slippers for DS, a summer hat for DS next year and a top for me for all my hard work for just over £50 Smile

@TheWoollybacksWife

My reindeer place settings arrived today. I'm seeing everyone that I bought them for this weekend. They already think I'm super organised anyway. Would it be overkill to give them their sets now? I was thinking of parcelling them up with some after dinner mints - After Eights were traditionally bought by a (now deceased) member of the family. Does anyone have any different mint suggestions (not Bittermints)?

We are unlikely to see them all together between now and Christmas and who knows what spanners may be thrown into the works by December.

Can I ask what the reindeer place settings are? I've missed the previous threads. Thanks

Walkie talkies- can someone link again please, the link just took me to the generic google search for amazon.Hmm

RainbowPhilosophy · 29/08/2021 19:11

Amazon have 2 for £7 on selected paperbacks (mostly suitable for 0-12 years, but a few for older readers). Just type 2 for 7 paperbacks into the search and it brings up 500 odd titles.

@Oreocrumbs

Thanks for the Oodie/fakes info. I think I'll get the real deal. I've played around with discount codes and they won't stack on the bundle.

The best I can see is the bundle at £50.50 each and 8% cash back through Quidco. If you just want 1 oodie there are lots of £25 off codes which bring them down to £59 each (and cash back).

The friends/Harry Potter oodies aren't included in the bundles and cost more.

I'd recommend going for the real one, my daughter and I both got them last year and they are absolutely amazing. I was sceptical that they would be a gimmick but I have to say they are fantastic! I kept an eye on the price for awhile and I never saw them go less than £50

Coronado2 · 29/08/2021 20:09

I've bought two of the bottles of m&s process I today and also had the comments about it lasting until Christmas Hmm

Just bought the bodum set too, but that is for me, so not off to a great start with present shopping.

onlineshop.oxfam.org.uk

If you sign up to their newsletter, they send an email with a 10% off your first order code :) Some of their glasswear could make a lovely gift.

WiltingWalli · 29/08/2021 20:27

For those looking at more reasonably priced Oodies I would HIGHLY recommend these:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184612500913

I bought from this seller last Xmas (I just searched my Ebay history to find the link). They are amazing, really excellent high quality fabric and stitching, wash fantastically and still look brand new 8 months later despite being washed pretty much every week as the dc live in them.

They're £20.99 but you also get 10% off the second if you order more than one.

I'm always dubious about buying from Ebay but these were the best buy I think I've ever had from there.

happytobemrsg · 29/08/2021 20:47

Amazon have reduced the Echo Kids version (Tiger/Panda) from £60 to £40. DS will be getting that from his Aunt & Uncle this year. Feel like he’s being thoroughly spoiled this year (mostly thanks to this thread) so I really don’t want to get him anything else.

Still struggling with gifts for the 2 year old. I’ve seen a drum kit which looks good (DS5 will be getting a real set from the ILS so he might enjoy this). It’s 26 which seems expensive though. Not discounted.

Trying to understand the Oodie love. I get into my pjs & dressing gown as soon possible- will an Oodie really elevate my comfyness?? Or will I just look ridiculous?

IggyAce · 29/08/2021 20:53

Collected my Percy pig Christmas decoration today, it’s a decent size, fits comfortably in the palm of my hand.

@Haudyourwheesht if you know anyone with aa membership they can get 10% off in store. Also if you have any insurance due and take it out though confused.com you can get a £20 Halfords voucher through confused rewards. Even better if you can do both

Newforestdonkey · 29/08/2021 21:28

Thank you for the Body Shop discount, for the Joules one, and for the Bodum link where I bought two tribute sets I had no idea I needed but where too good a deal to let it pass!

Ewock · 29/08/2021 21:44

Oh dear a few hours on here and I have purchased from Argos, White Stuff, the Scottish soaps, IWOOT, M&S and Grimm!! I think I will be banned Grin

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 29/08/2021 22:02

Just ordered 2 percy pig plush decorations, one for each of the DCs for their stockings. They look super cute! 🐷

WiltingWalli · 29/08/2021 22:15

Thank you for the Debenhams sale tip to the previous poster!

Does anyone know any other free delivery code for Debenhams? BANKHOL doesn't seem to be working.

Givealittlebit · 29/08/2021 22:15

Wow I swear we're moving so much quicker this year? Combination of people hearing of shortages and buying earlier, and post covid belt tightenings maybe?

Namechangesagain · 29/08/2021 22:20

And they’ve been really good for my 3yo and 6yo.
I’m sure I didn’t pay that much for them though so might be worth keeping an eye out for the price dropping

That code worked for me a couple of hours ago. Are you stacking codes?
Methenyouplus4 · 29/08/2021 22:42

@famousthehero thank you for that, I got the yellow (fav colour of the son I'm buying for) and there was a £2 off voucher too.

They will be an ideal gift as I was struggling for ideas for him (youngest of 4), if I end up getting him more, they will be great as a gift from grandparents.

Room4onemore · 29/08/2021 23:00

Thanks for the jelly cat bunny, just ordered one
