It's great to reminisce about all the bargains of years gone by. I got the Marks and Spencer's gin/Prosecco set last year which has to be one of the very best we have ever had? Excited to see what this year throws up

Wolfcub · 29/08/2021 07:45

200ml Hugo boss night is 37.00 on Amazon. While I can't believe it's normally the £88 stated A Google suggests you'd be paying £35 for 100ml elsewhere

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2021 07:46

Don't talk about the M&S debacle! I only got a set thanks to @Fuckingfuckssake selling me one of hers in the end!

Yasmine1099 · 29/08/2021 08:01

I paid full price for the M&S gin but it was worth it. Following on from the Clubcard tip above, what should I do with nectar points. They don’t seem to expire which has led to me building up about £100. I just don’t know what to do with them, I find lots of clubcard deals worth having but not so much with nectar.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2021 08:08

@Yasmine1099, wait until Double Up in November and you can get twice the value for them. Here is what you can buy with them.

Anything over what I spend on Double Up (and we have linked cards, so can double up twice the amount) I spend on food / ingredients for Christmas.

You can put them towards your shopping normally, at any time, but if you're wanting anything on the Double Up list, it's worth waiting. I got printer ink last year and will again this year, for instance.

InDreamland · 29/08/2021 08:38

I mentioned the QVC deal on the Liz Earle 6 piece set when it was on TSV pre-launch, today it is actually on TSV so last chance to get it at this price of £49.96 delivered (free p+p). Remember to use a referral code if you can for an additional £10 off.

Hi,

A bit of a random one but my husband really wants some inline skates so he can go skating with our youngest. The problem is that his shoe size is 12.5 and all the places I can find only go up to size 12. Any ideas?

Christmascaker · 29/08/2021 09:01

Prosecco on Amazon reduced to £6.88 from £12 if you tick the voucher box!

Dreamingofwalden · 29/08/2021 09:13

Gap have a 40% sale this weekend. Lots of character and Star Wars items.

Thanks Christmascaker. My OH laughed when I said I'd got some to put away till Christmas apparently there is no way it will last till then.
uggpug · 29/08/2021 09:20

Burt's Bees 20% off site wide

StormInAGinGlass · 29/08/2021 09:28

Thank you thank you for the Bodum coffee set!! I just don’t know if I’ll be able to give it away…

woodwaj · 29/08/2021 09:29

@Yasmine1099 you can also spend your nectar points at argos if you need anything from there. No double up though that I am aware of!

Willow4987 · 29/08/2021 09:34

@DoucheCanoe

I’ve got this one and it’s good

TCP Smart Wi-Fi LED Lightbulb Classic B22 Colour Tuneable White & Colour Changing Dimmable www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0898CHPFB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_96V8E686Q5596DS9P99E?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Christmascaker · 29/08/2021 09:38

Couchtile · 29/08/2021 09:41

@Gilead

I am now the proud owner of three picnic blankets! Thank you
Apologies, I missed this one, what were the details for the picnic blankets?
SomethingOfTheNight · 29/08/2021 09:43

Is there a checkout code to get The White Stuff advent calendar down to £12? It's showing @ £18 for me Confused

Thanks for all the bargains Smile

Sneaking this on even though it's not strictly Christmas but husband's 50th!!! Any recommendations on pizza ovens please and any deals? I'm sat here trying to work out who I can give the Bodum set too, as it's so fabulous but desperately trying to be very controlled this year due to big cut in income. All adults for me to buy 🙄

DoucheCanoe · 29/08/2021 10:31

Not entirely bargainous but Claire's has a 50% off almost everything sale - I'm trying to be good and only buy fun but functional stuff this year spent £20 but made a good dent on the stocking fillers for 9yo!

I'm a bit late to the fake oodie party but noticed that Sienna oodies are down to £15 at onlinehomeshop so will buy those for DD, DS and teen siblings as I hear they are decent enough :)

DoucheCanoe · 29/08/2021 10:32

@Couchtile not sure if a different one has been posted but there are picnic blankets down to £7 on the Typo link from before - in trying to decide if I need/want one right now 🤣

Willow4987 · 29/08/2021 10:35

@user1466167893 I haven’t used one myself but the Ooni ones look good but pricey

Isn’t a pizza oven like getting a Hoover? I thought the mn rule was to avoid household items as gifts?
Maharajah20 · 29/08/2021 10:45

@Chouchtile this is the link someone put up a few days ago. Mine has arrived and is very good. They are extra large. Extra 10% off with voucher.

Number109 · 29/08/2021 10:50

@MauveMagnolia haha I love getting gifts like that (not a Hoover though!!). For my first married Xmas my husband bought me some chopping boards, my family suggested he bought me some jewellery instead but thankfully he knows me better! I still have my fabulous chopping boards and it’s been 12 years!
