TeddyOBear · 28/08/2021 19:11

[quote CasparBloomberg]The Bodum 3 piece set of travel mug, cafetière and grinder for £28, marked down from £71, is a particular bargain, seeing as the travel mugs are £30 in department stores.

Can anyone please repost the Typo discounts? I've trawled through but can't find them.

Bummocks123 · 28/08/2021 20:03

Eeek, thanks to both @CasparBloomberg and @TeddyOBear I got my first Christmas bargain for difficult to buy DH with the Bodum 3 piece set! Should also get 16% back through cash back site as well!

Famousthehero · 28/08/2021 20:09

@MadeForThis we have the Upgrow walkie talkies from Amazon which we use with our 4yo in the park, woods, on the beach... they're simple to use and good sound quality, come in a range of colours. Think they drop to £16.99 occasionally.
They also seem identical to a lot of other brands on Amazon so whichever of those has the best price maybe...

Will try a link but it didn't go well before :amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YHDHT98/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_V78Q12F5ED067VPJS9NM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 walkie talkies]]

amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YHDHT98/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_V78Q12F5ED067VPJS9NM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1]] (non fancy version as pretty sure I need to reread the link instructions)

Bellie99 · 28/08/2021 20:30

First post, but thank you for all the links. Reindeer place names on order!
Jin Designs have a 15% sale on this weekend - need to enter SMILE15 at checkout and free delivery over £50. jindesigns.com

CasparBloomberg · 28/08/2021 20:42

As there seem to be coffee lovers, I thought I'd also recommend another company Next Day Coffee www.nextdaycoffee.co.uk/brand/monin

for very good prices on Monin syrup in the large bottles and they do pumps for £2.99 as well. Bought a few as a treat for DH when the first lockdown started and he was having coffee shop withdrawal and having to work from home, but they are now a feature of our kitchen!
Free delivery if you spend enough but good to go in with friends to buy enough. One order lasts us about a year Grin

@Petal7 apologies catching up so haven't read full thread yet but how to be awesome by matthew Syed is great, its a growth mindset book so might be good for your DC with the wobble.

Sneezein3s · 28/08/2021 21:43

Hi everyone- late this year but have finally caught up! Just used the Bodum link to buy a coffee cup, granola cup and lunchbox - Bodum_10 gave a further 10% off.

Thanks for the bargain and thanks @Reastie. I think I’ve been here since 2017. The £5 jumpers were a fave and last years puppets! Hoping to find another sock shop bargain this year!

endlesscraziness · 28/08/2021 21:59

Thanks for the Bodum set, 2 purchased

IWOOT have 5 for £20 on gifts. Got some good stocking fillers

Maharajah20 · 28/08/2021 22:04

Fab! Thank you! 😊

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 28/08/2021 22:06

Ooo yes the sock shop deal was amazing last year. I only gave one pair away in the end... I kept three for me, they were lovely 😂

I'm almost done I think but have DHs and ds2 2nd bday first week of Jan so holding on for some bargains for that could be put away, as well as prompts for the grandparents who also cashed on on some savings thanks to this thread last yyear. I love how you all make me aware of things I wouldn't otherwise think of, great for variety.

Cue me spending money on things I didn't want / know I wanted / need / put aside for 2 years 😂

ChiaraMontague · 28/08/2021 22:12

Thank you for the soap recommendations!

ChiaraMontague · 28/08/2021 22:14

@DoucheCanoe haha! I was the same that episode. On the plus side, I have now escaped from Belinda’s 6th floor penthouse Grin

Petal7 · 28/08/2021 22:19

@TryingtobePrepared - thank you for the recommendation. So kind. Really looking forward to looking at them all in more detail.

Tinysnickers · 28/08/2021 22:47

Hi all, I'm along for the ride again this year, but I'm a serial name changer so no one will remember the name.
Thanks as ever Reastie.

PattyPan · 28/08/2021 22:57

Ahh thanks for the monin tip @CasparBloomberg, I’ve never found anywhere that has the sugar free hazelnut syrup! This plus the hot chocolate shaker has me sorted for winter GrinBrew

I get my sugar free hazelnut coffee syrup from TKMaxx
PattyPan · 28/08/2021 23:51

Thanks @CatOfTheLand, I’ll have a look in there, would save postage! I hardly ever think to go in TK Maxx but usually find really good stuff.

Boots has £10 of points with every £60 spent on electrical beauty, which includes shavers, hairdryers and various hair removal machines. Some of the toothbrushes are already on offer at less than half the (high) original price. The guarantee starts when you buy it, which could be a disadvantage for Christmas presents but I suppose applies to buying any electrical presents early.

Code MAQM30 takes 10% off an order over £30, can only be used once per email and/or credit card and/or delivery address.

Boots is also running a recycling scheme where if you take in 5 empty “beauty, wellness, healthcare or dental products that you can’t recycle through your household waste” and spend £10 you get £2:50 worth of points. Presumably 5 old toothbrushes would count, but I haven’t tried it. T’s & C’s at offer 23 here.

Harry Potter or Friends door mat and mug (that classic combination!) are £11 at IWOOT with code MATMUG
