I sticked up on the Dr Botanicals soaps and still have some left! They were useful in the first lockdown when soap sold out everywhere.

I want to get one of those standing desk converter things for exDH because he’s always leaning over the table/backs of chairs to look at his laptop. I’ve attached a picture of what I’m after.

Can anyone recommend any nice but unusual whiskies for around £30, please? Single malt, not blended, and either peated or unpeated are fine. Open to Indian or Japanese whiskies if any recommendations, he’s quite broad in his tastes😀

Might be a bit over budget although you can get gift packs with miniatures, but DF highly rates Tamdhu.

Has anyone seen a cheap but beautiful trifle bowl? I only really make trifle at Christmas but would love a really pretty dish to make it in.

I kept losing items from.my fatface basket- took 3 attempts to check out as eeach time I did (immediately after removing items from the basket I didn't go back and browse or anything) more was out of stock. Clearly we are all there shopping! Remember a few years ago one poster got mad at everyone for buying the bargains before she could get to them and asking that we maybe don't share them publicly

Christmas cooking: when I went into M&S food hall this afternoon an assistant was working through a long list of “ambient” items, putting yellow stickers on them. Long dates.

Extra wide foil (for the turkey) and mixed fruit (Christmas cake/puds) were 1/3 off, but most other things were half price, eg boxes of 160 everyday teabags down from £2 to £1. Mostly but not exclusively M&S branded. Not luxury, but some might be useful stocking fillers.
