@TheFabledSnake I second Super Mario Lego. It’s excellent! The mario figure has sensors and can tell what he is standing on and reacts accordingly. There’s a Luigi set out now too, and loads of expansion packs

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 26/08/2021 17:57

Did anyone buy the play doh toastie maker? It's back down to £5 but I'm really undecided as although it looks fun I reckon it could just turn to mush quite quickly... Does anyone have any idea whether it's actually worth it?

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 26/08/2021 18:03

And by worth it I mean, the chaos! It's obviously a steal price wise

IggyAce · 26/08/2021 18:09

Flash sale at dr botanicals upto 70% off link

Elemis have 25% off with codeholiday link

Pumpkintopf · 26/08/2021 18:10

Silverfoxx top tip! Thanks

oneofthose · 26/08/2021 18:17

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah I got it for my DS who is 3, he loved making the sandwiches the first time and there is special elasticated play doh to emulate melted cheese. However all the colours did get mixed up. But he still plays with the bread shaper and the toastie machine and the other bits and pieces. He doesn't mind mixed up play doh so it was worth it in my house.

Thanks for the fire 7 opinions, I've gone for it! That's the main presents sorted and it's not even September! Yay!
With the subscription, do you only have to subscribe if you want new apps? I'm wondering if we download a bunch with the free year and try not to need any new ones after that for as long as we can hold out.

LemonCake79 · 26/08/2021 18:20

@funnybones1234, do you have to use a code? I haven't had an email which is strange as I usually get their sale preview emails etc.

funnybones1234 · 26/08/2021 18:22

@LemonCake79 looks like the 20% has been added onto all items. It's a little confusing as it looks like the sale price is the full price amount as it's not marked up very clearly, but it's the sale prices -20% if you click through the sale section of the website. Hope that makes sense!

funnybones1234 · 26/08/2021 18:23

@Ricekrispie22 thanks for this! Although when you start to build the puzzles they work out super expensive - just went to order one and couldn't believe the price even with 50% off

funnybones1234 · 26/08/2021 18:24

Use code FAN10 for an extra 10% off at shop Disney. Some items already have 25% off and code can be used alongside it

LemonCake79 · 26/08/2021 18:34

Thank you @funnybones1234, that makes sense!

I'm hoping there will be a new season discount soon as I've got my eye on the sock advent calendar they do. Love their socks Grin

Mumto3thatsme · 26/08/2021 18:34

Just wanted to share a lovely shop called Bookblock.
I had the most beautiful gift box from a friend from them, and I see every other weekend ish they have a box of the week at a discounted price.
Here’s the link, I think I have a referral somewhere for 20% off 🤔

We didn't bother with the subscription, you can download CBeebies apps for free & other kids apps for very little.

Has anyone used Dr botanicals?

Are they usually £59 for a hand cream Shock

Like the look of some of the stuff on there but not used it before

TheWoollybacksWife · 26/08/2021 19:04

My reindeer place settings arrived today. I'm seeing everyone that I bought them for this weekend. They already think I'm super organised anyway. Would it be overkill to give them their sets now? I was thinking of parcelling them up with some after dinner mints - After Eights were traditionally bought by a (now deceased) member of the family. Does anyone have any different mint suggestions (not Bittermints)?

We are unlikely to see them all together between now and Christmas and who knows what spanners may be thrown into the works by December.

IggyAce · 26/08/2021 19:08

@Carrotcakeforbreakfast I’ve used dr botanicals I love the lemon balm moisturiser but that’s not in the current offer unfortunately.

sorryiasked · 26/08/2021 19:09

All Echo's etc reduced on Amazon - the Flex is down to £9.99

dementedma · 26/08/2021 19:23

Thanks for the Spicery tip, that’s DD2’s boyfriend sorted. And DD has the Urban Decay palette from Boots, so saved a small fortune just on these two gifts.
These threads rock!

Pumpkintopf · 26/08/2021 19:33

@Carrotcakeforbreakfast I've used Dr Botanicals but have never (and would never) pay full price. The stuff I've used is good but not amazing, but for 70% off it's ok.

Pumpkintopf · 26/08/2021 19:35

@TheWoollybacksWife I'd definitely give them this weekend! Mints - Elizabeth Shaw?

RainbowZebraWarrior · 26/08/2021 19:36

Also agree about Dr Botanicals. About two years ago, loads of us bought the soaps in the sale. £1.49 each I think they worked out as. Original price was supposedly £12.99 a bar, which is just ludicrous.

ClaraLane · 26/08/2021 19:40

Dr Botanicals did an amazing rhubarb soap that was about £1.50 a bar thanks to sale + code stacking and it smelt beautiful. A very kind person from this thread posted me one of their leftover bars last year when I was reminiscing about it 🥰
