I came on to ask about Kids Fire 7 tablet. I'm out of my depth with kids tablets - one of the reviews says that you need a subscription to download apps and share them with the kids profile. Is that correct? Would anyone recommend fire tablets or any others? I have DS5 and DS2 who both enjoy YouTube Kids on our phones and would like some other educational apps - maybe kindle for the eldest to read, little simple games for the toddler.

Thanks to those that recommended small world for the child I was buying for. I realised after I posted that she's actually 3 not 4 Still can't find my other Orchard Toys set but I picked one up in Lidl for £3.99. They also had some nice wooden Maths toys, also £3.99, so bought a couple for DS5

@BeGoneDom we have the Amazon fire 7. I think it fantastic. So much education stuff but fun stuff too and the content is added to all the time. You get a years free subscription when you buy the tablet. After that we pay £1.99 per month which I am happy is good value as they get so much out of it playing educational games etc. And they are unbreakable. It's good to know they can't get into any non kid friendly stuff on it too, unlike using an iPad.

I agree with this i got dd one about 2 years ago. Got the year free now pay £1.99 a month and I think it's well worth it. Lots of apps and games and can be used in the car as once they are downloaded don't need wifi.
