Greetings folks, it’s that time again!

Starting a fresh for 2021, so if anyone has any specific links they’d like or think would be handy to add to the list for the next thread please do let me know.

Hope you’ve all had a better year so far than last year and here’s hoping things will be at a point for a more celebratory Christmas with friends and family (and lots of bargains) this year.

Checking in! Got a few bits already mainly for the toddler as she’s easy to buy for 🙂. Really need some bargains for the men in the family!

Voiceofreason92 · 05/08/2021 16:08

@chocolateemergency
Pound toy unbranded stuff is a little cheap and nasty-like pound shop quality. But if you stick to branded stuff, you’ll be ok.
I bought some lego activity books rrp£7 but £3 on pound toy and £1.50 with half off. They are my birthday party bags done.
However, it’s the cheapest item free, so i had to remove some cheaper bits i had in there in order to get the money off what i wanted

I think I need a hot chocolate shaker as a family gift for us all! Going to add it to my “things to buy on payday” list!

Burnt0utMum · 05/08/2021 16:39

Interested in getting a games console this year but have no idea what to get. Kids are 7 & 5, is it best to get a switch for them to share and use on the TV or get them a switch lite each? Or an entirely different console? Recommendations much appreciated

Givealittlebit · 05/08/2021 16:49

So excited! Been loving the prequel threads and I am ready to bargain hunt yet again!

Mo819 · 05/08/2021 16:53

Checking in.

TableSetting · 05/08/2021 16:54

My top tip picked up a few years ago from here.

Use an app like Santa’s Bag to keep track of what you’ve bought/still to buy/spent per child etc.

Also useful as you can keep a note of where you’ve hidden each gift! Who else comes across random forgotten purchases in Jan/Feb hidden in a slow cooker on top of the cupboard?

Daisy829 · 05/08/2021 17:37

Trying my hardest not to purchase a hot chocolate shaker. Might put it on the list for next year for my eldest. I’ve done quite a lot of shopping already thanks to this thread.

I'll be on the lookout for anime/manga ideas for my DSS.

It's not a bargin but for anyone looking for a PlayStation or xbox I signed up to stockinformer.co.uk and managed to get a PlayStation for DHs birthday.

I am going to be looking for a ride on toy for my 1 year old I think. DS4s old one is looking a bit worse for wear on the garage so need a new one I think! Please send any bargains my way!

flowerbombVR · 05/08/2021 18:36

twiggytwoo · 05/08/2021 18:47

Oh I did order from Ryman in the sale last week. Lots of bic pens at better than half price which are great for stocking fillers

I thought I'd practically finished dds stockings in the Claire's Accessories sale but they've just cancelled 3/4 of my order :(

I'm on the lookout for any my little pony bargains if anybody comes across any and has anybody used 66 book club before? I've never heard of them but they have quite a few bits my older dd would love

IGuessIdProbablyBeAnne · 05/08/2021 19:43

17caterpillars1mouse Mine too Hmm I was smug in thinking I’d sorted out my DD’s stocking too.

Chocolateemergency · 05/08/2021 19:57

@17caterpillars1mouse @IGuessIdProbablyBeAnne I’ve had a similar email but when I look at what I ordered and what they say has been dispatched it’s the same.

We just picked up a scuttlebug for DS’s 1st birthday from marketplace for £10 because it was about the only thing he hadn’t been passed down from DX. Definitely worth a look.
ByThePool2021 · 05/08/2021 20:02

@FilthyforFirth I bought ds1 a wheelybug for his 1st birthday and it lasted right down to ds3. Brilliant on hard flooring

BadgerFace · 05/08/2021 20:10

Always happy to be on these threads!!

My Ride on Toys order came today, lots of bargain Schleich and Playmobil so many thanks to the poster who recommended them, I’d not heard of them before.

PatchworkElmer · 05/08/2021 20:20

The Lego sports cars have arrived and are perfect. Bargain!

Agh! Wish mine were! I’m giving it one more return to see if I can get one without a bashed box 😩
ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 05/08/2021 20:43

I have picked up the lego juniors construction digger for £4

Thought this baby’s first colouring book was a nice addition to the bargain crayons. CCC says it’s normally closer to £3.

Also just noticed that Rooftoppers book has gone down by a pound. CCC had it at a pretty consistent £6.60 ish.
