Greetings folks, it’s that time again!

Starting a fresh for 2021, so if anyone has any specific links they’d like or think would be handy to add to the list for the next thread please do let me know.

Hope you’ve all had a better year so far than last year and here’s hoping things will be at a point for a more celebratory Christmas with friends and family (and lots of bargains) this year.

@Smileatthesmallthings

Great to be back on this thread again, though it's making me realise how quickly the year is going! Wondering if anyone has recommendations for chapter books for a 4.5 year old. We've read all of the Faraway Tree books 4 times now, and just started the Wishing Chair, but I'd like to get him a little selection of new ones for Christmas. Thanks :)
Perhaps The Hundred Mile an Hour Dog by Jeremy Strong?

The Jill Tomlinson animal ones are nice too, they have the collection on offer here:

I'm on the lookout for bargain Lottie dolls for my nephew. Got him the Be Kind one for his 4th birthday and he adores it, so would like to get him another for Christmas.

Scout2016 · 14/08/2021 14:33

@WeeFae I used Tickety Boo last year for a Lottie, but prices look to have gone up a bit.

@EvilHerbivore

Looking for birthday gifts for 2 fairly new colleagues - hopefully around a fiver (but look more!) Both quite nice, middle aged, middle class, mumsy ladies - thinking like a nice candle or something? Anyone seen anything on their internet travels?
Sounds like a job for the Wax Lyrical Christmas candles to me! They drop to around £4-5 every so often so it's worth keeping an eye.
SpamIAm · 14/08/2021 16:47

For those who've ordered from Rex London, just check for any boxed etc items that all the parts are inside. I had a few items last year with missing bits - they were brilliant about sending out the missing parts even though it was months later, but it's not ideal a child opening a gift on Christmas Day that they can't use 🙈

Burnt0utMum · 14/08/2021 16:59

WAX LYRICAL Reed Diffuser 40ml Exotic Fig www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B083VBQGZX/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_91SG3V4BQ6Y9GPMNXFWX?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

This diffuser is only £2.84 but it's only 40ml. The 100ml one is also a good price though.

SpottyBumPony · 14/08/2021 17:01

I ordered a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser for myself, there was some chocolate reduce to £4.00 (best before Aug but that's OK for us), I got the £35 off with VELV35KCFMICIT and a pop up came up offering me a free Everything Sleekster box. I deleted the sleekster code and added the velvetiser code but the sleeker still came up free. Woop, my code was Sleekser-BT6HCMNG5D. I don't know if that would work or if you'd need your own pop up code.

Quidco too

Lellyo · 14/08/2021 17:02

My contribution is that Janes Patisserie book is down to £10 on Amazon, lowest it been

PaolaDiLorenzo · 14/08/2021 17:02

EvilHerbivore I know it's a bit more than you wanted to pay but Asda have Yankee Candle jars on offer in certain fragrances. Medium is £6 and large is £9.

nov1ce · 14/08/2021 17:06

Welcome back everyone, let the fun begin 😁

sorryiasked · 14/08/2021 17:36

Yankee Bundles have two large wildwick candles on offer. They also have a wick trimmer at £3, and bundles of 96 (!) Xmas votive for £30.

Scout2016 · 14/08/2021 17:40

www.rainbowsandsprinkles.co.uk/

Rainbows and Sprinkles have buy 2 get 3rd free on all items. They do leggings / sports bras and water bottles.
Has anyone used them? Dunno whether to go with that offer or hold out for Kukubird, in case they have a sale?
Kukubird do have a sale on stuff I'm not after - some bags and some adult leggings. They were popular on here last year but I haven't used them myself. www.kukubird.com/

EvilHerbivore · 14/08/2021 18:05

Thanks for the ideas guys 😙
