Yes that's what I thought. Luckily I'm not doing at visits now and am purely WFH but on the 19th I've got to go to Brighton for the day, I'm really hoping it's better by then, or at least less painful.

CrazyBaubles · 09/07/2021 11:05

Same here puss - to me, no outside pic = ugly / horrible garden / walls falling down / roof needs replacing.
No floor plan = the house has no flow or a 'quirky' layout.

Fluffy so annoying about your sweetcorn.

Wreck when I sprained my ankle it took weeks and weeks / months before it was back to normal but following RICE then doing some stretches for it should help (the physio told me to balance on my bad ankle to strengthen it).

Strange day for me. TMI, sorry. I'm currently on the second period I've had in a month, cramps are the worst they've been in a long time and I'm down / teary. It's come on so suddenly too, and all I want to do is sleep 🙄

Watching QVC and cleaning the kitchen (What a Rock'n'Roll existance I have )

Trying to decide if I'm going to brave the shops on Sunday when they might be quieter if everyone is preparing for The Match ? Or go on Saturday ?

I made The most perfect Yorkshire Puddings and Toad in the Hole (Quorn sausages) .
Love the new oven Xmas Grin it took some getting used to but having a light and a fan that works makes a huge difference .

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 10/07/2021 07:00

Sorry to hear that crazy, hope you feel better today.

Off to the North again today for more house hunting. Have 5 viewings lined up!

WreckTangled · 10/07/2021 07:07

It's not an ankle sprain though because I haven't done anything to it. It's a stress fracture or ligament damage. I'm still in bed and having not moved it for 7 hours is finally doesn't hurt, it will once I'm up though. I can move my ankle in circles right now and not feel any pain, it's when I stand on it.

We had a takeaway curry last night and it was disappointing. My chicken was dry and the saag was burnt. £38 even with my NHS discount. Not impressed.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 10/07/2021 07:22

I would get that checked out wreck!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/07/2021 07:30

Why are you cleaning the kitchen at 1am, 70?! Thats 😴 time round these parts!

Crazy, sorry about your hormonal weirdness. It's rubbish, isn't it?

Wreck, I'd definitely get that looked at. I got bollocked by my GP for not getting medical attention straight away when I did my shoulder!

Good luck today, Most. 🏠 🍀

70 I would go tomorrow. Everyone will be there getting beer and crisps today Grin

Dh is working today but I might make an appt at minor injuries tomorrow. Just realised one about 15 miles away is open 7 days a week.

WreckTangled · 10/07/2021 08:42

Actually the nearest urgent care that's open is further than a&e. So ridiculous. I called 111 and they told me to see a pharmacist. Such a pile of shit.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/07/2021 08:45

We don't have minor injuries here, unlike the rest of Merseyside, it seems which is because we're really Lancs, humph!, so it's A&E or GP. The GP told me I should've gone to A&E so it could have been x-rayed. However, I'm conditioned to only go to A&E if nigh-on dead, so hadn't wanted to go! 🙈😂

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 10/07/2021 08:50

The nearest A&E is 20 miles away. Festival of speed is on too so traffic is a nightmare. I'm just so annoyed with 111 usually they're pretty good but after running through twenty irrelevant questions they gave a stupid answer. Guess I'll just have to wait until Monday.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/07/2021 14:23

It's absolutely chucking down here! The forecast says 'light rain'. It lies! 🤣😂

I'm midway through cleaning the kitchen (etc), and have stopped to watch the rain! ☔️☔️☔️

Hello everyone! Has anyone brought this. I've seen its £13 and wondered if it was any good? Especially since its age 18?? Random! Thanks 😊

fluffy Oi, gimme my rain!!! We were supposed to have some this morning and there wasn't any. 🙄
DH is getting his hose of death out in a few mins, so that's another reservoir that will be empty soon...[periscope emoji]

TheWoollybacksWife · 10/07/2021 18:00

Squirrels I bought one for my grown up DD last Christmas. It's huuuuge but very cosy. It's a bugger to dry over a wet weekend though

NoWordForFluffy · 10/07/2021 18:01

The bucket which is reduced to just under an inch full now has about 8 inches of water in it! It was a bit damp for a while. Sorry (not sorry!), Puss. It means I don't have to water the allotment tomorrow now. Hurrah!

CrazyBaubles · 10/07/2021 22:20

Wreck I hope your ankle starts feeling better soon.

No rain here but it's very cloudy.

I'm just in from a lovely meal out with DH, my friend and her DH. Food was good and both DHs were driving so friend and I had cocktails 🍸 Am a bit squiffy now though 😂 so off to bed soon I think 🥴

HairsprayBabe · 10/07/2021 22:28

Sorry to hear about your ankle Wreak my DDad has buggered up his shoulder, been off work for 2 weeks with it very very unlike him but he won't just sit and rest!

I finally managed to mow the lawn today, it's rained at some point every day for the last two weeks so I haven't managed to get out while its dry enough!

Lots of christmas clothes arrived for DS in the post the last few days too Grin he is going to be the most adorable festive toddler! I can't belive he is one in three weeks I don't know what happened to this year I literally blinked and now I basically have a toddler Shock

Going carbooting tomorrow before the football hopefully I get some treasure!

Morning!

Allotment day today, once I get my arse into gear! Weeding and sowing more parsnips are today's jobs. The excitement!

A couple more sweetcorn have bitten the dust overnight. Sigh. I have evicted 4 more snails though, so hopefully that helps!

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 11/07/2021 11:13

Morning! I've had a nice morning so far - lie in until 9, took the dog out straight away, breakfast, watered plants, put washing on and have just sat down for 5 while I decide which job to do next as almost the whole house needs cleaning 🙄

Hope you're enjoying the allotment Fluffy! I was going to ask, does your DH enjoy gardening / growing things or is it more your project?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/07/2021 12:48

Ooh Wreck hopefully you'lll get your ankle looked at and Xrayed . You might be given an AirCast boot (or plaster ) if its a fracture .

I am writing random lists of Things I Want (like a trip to a Christmas Market that I couldn't do last year ) and Hallowe'en decorations ( my 2nd favourite time of yesr ) we make ours from random oddments so it takes time but costs pennies and (I think) the spirit of Hallwe'en Grin

No plans at all to watch football , not my scene but I reckon I'll know how it goes by the reaction from my neighbours . There will be loads of people in various gardens cheering/ cursing

WreckTangled · 11/07/2021 12:56

I'm thinking it can't be a fracture as the pain was much less when I first got up this morning. More pain now I've done 3000 steps but I can't sit and not move for weeks on end 😩

I've done some housework and washing, am going to make lunch in a minute, just resting my ankle for five mins. Dh is at work.

The weather is looking amazing after Tuesday

pussycatlickinglollyices · 11/07/2021 13:05

It won't be quiet around here later. All I can see in the neighbouring back gardens is bunting, flags, gazebos and parasols, BBQs and gas bottles, bins full of ice/beer.
One has already lit his...I hope he's in it for the long haul or he'll miss the game 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
Another has set up a massive projector/TV and speakers...I doubt very much he'll be watching Antiques Roadshow.

I just need to find my Three Tenors CD for balance.🏆

pussycatlickinglollyices · 11/07/2021 13:15

Oh, and we've just had salmon, green beans and home grown 🥔🥔 for lunch - DH had Wine so he's sleeping it off in preparation for this evening... He's such a light-weight 🤦🏻‍♀️

On the plus side, it does mean I get some time to do some more sewing and iplayer to myself😺

CrazyBaubles · 11/07/2021 14:03

DH got back about an hour ago and I asked him about the football - neither of us watch it generally but I thought he may want to this time. He said maybe - so we have a deal that if he watches it he'll go upstairs and leave me downstairs in peace.

70 I may copy you and make a list, although I have a rough one in my head that focuses purely on Christmas - it includes going to a Christmas market, having friends over (🤞🏼) for drinks one evening, a day off work to put the Christmas decs up and possibly another in mid December for no reason except to have the Christmas lights on and watch Christmas films all day Xmas Grin

It's just started to rain here (after I watered t plants 🙄).

Wreck you sound very frustrated so I hope you find something that helps soon - maybe Gin or Wine perhaps?
