One of our patients was insistent on going out for a walk Woolly. I had spotted the weather and conveniently went to make a bed 🤣

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 18/06/2021 17:08

Only drizzle here.

So excited for Christmas in our new house. Has two Bay windows and a bannister perfect for a garland.

FireflyGirl · 18/06/2021 17:25

Our quiet afternoon has turned into a trip to the A&E department after I lost vision in one eye (my only good eye!!).

I called 111, and they sent an ambulance. All okay, thankfully, but no explanation. DD had to come with me and has loved watching the people, including the frazzled looking nurse muttering 'that's four patients we've lost today' [as in can't find, thankfully] and 'they've not booked him in!'.

FireflyGirl · 18/06/2021 17:26

V jealous most.

I was looking forward to decorating my new extension, and even bought a new tree. Oh well, still might manage it this year but if not, definitely next!

NerosFiddle · 18/06/2021 17:39

@Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear

DH said that after he heard my perineum cut open with a pair of scissors (a sound he says he will never forget) that it was his turn. Poor guy now has to have it reversed GrinBlush
My Dh saw it happen two times within 13 months and still refuses Angry

Hope you're ok. Did you have a migraine or anything?
NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2021 17:49

Neros, I've had two c-sections, one an emergency where it was a proper smash and grab. My DH must be twinned with yours. Sigh.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2021 17:50

Goodness, Firefly. Flowers Has it come back now?

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 18/06/2021 17:52

Hope you are ok firefly!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 18/06/2021 18:00

If it all works out I will have given birth twice and DH will have had his balls messed around with twice so that seems fair Grin

NerosFiddle · 18/06/2021 18:02

Fluffy men don't know they're born.

I can't wait for the male pill to be approved.

FireflyGirl · 18/06/2021 18:57

Yes, Fluffy. It only lasted about 45 minutes, but because I had numbness (from the anaesthetic) 111 didn't want to take any chances and sent the ambulance, and the paramedics couldn't find the answer on Google spoke to my dentist who said it wasn't a common side effect, so took me in to be safe.

Nero's I think it may well have been. None of the medical professionals mentioned migraine, but I had floating lights as well as the blurriness. I used to get them as a teenager, but then bits were missing rather than blurry.

Probably induced by a mix of stress at the dental work, not having slept very well for a while and then not having enough to drink.

WreckTangled · 18/06/2021 19:00

Oh no firefly that sounds scary.

Dh hasn't had a vasectomy. He's considering it, it seems so final though.

CrazyBaubles · 18/06/2021 19:12

Thank you Woolly. I can't believe I didn't think of doing curly Sue's!! Will definitely do that instead, it'll be much better.

Firefly I know migraine symptoms can change over time - as a teen mine never effected my sight but I was always sick. Now I get blurred vision along the edges, a twitch in the eye and nausea but not sickness.
I hope you're feeling better soon.

Very exciting things going on for you most** - the move will be here before you know it!

CrazyBaubles · 18/06/2021 19:13

As predicted I'm having the most boring evening - have cleaned the kitchen, cooked tea, am now pulling out the unicorn mane on the gloves ready to redo then I'll water the plants, crochet and sleep.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2021 19:36

I've been to Sainsbury's and Card Factory (to get bits for DD's birthday next week) and am now doing cross stitch. Rock'n'roll central round these parts too, Crazy.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 18/06/2021 19:47

We watched Luca on Disney+ and I finished my cross stitch. Now heading to bed to read.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 18/06/2021 20:01

I disappear for a few hours and you lot are talking about scissors and vasectomies...
MrPussyCat has been out with his Hose of Death and watered my spuds (still no rain).
He's experiencing a little stiffness after dangling off a ladder with his hammer yesterday.
Firefly I had a migraine after a filling once, so it might have been that. At least you got fully checked over.
DH can't have kids, so has been saved from the snip. 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 18/06/2021 20:04

Hoses, horns and stiffness?! Are there no depths we will not plumb? 🙈😂

pussycatlickinglollyices · 18/06/2021 20:18

Fluffy I think the comment about the use of scissors was worse and made me cross my legs 😮

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/06/2021 21:08

Yup. Nothing festive about an episiotomy.

I'm joining Fluffy on the Rock'n'Roll bench. I've cleaned the fridge and made banana bread and an apple crumble to use up the sad fruit in the fruit bowl. I've also had a quick trip to Tesco for lunch supplies for DS as he's got a DoE event tomorrow. 🌧⛺️

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2021 21:35

Nothing rock and roll about me. I am sat on the sofa eating cheese on toast and slurping a cuppa. I have been home for half an hour or so.

The ward was bats this evening (yes I know it goes with the territory 🤣) but after some of the patients conversations you start to feel an itsy bit bats yourself.

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/06/2021 21:40

We have bats 🦇 in our garden. They were doing laps last night whilst eying up a huge white moth that was fluttering on the lawn. We had the windows open and could hear their wings.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 18/06/2021 21:46

We have bats too 🦇 they do laps of all the back gardens.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/06/2021 22:03

We also have bats that fly round the garden. I love watching them.
