Morning. Hay fever central here - I'm congested and look like I've been crying all morning 🤧 Lovely.

Work today then out for tea (outdoors) with some friends I haven't seen for almost 2 years! I'm really looking forward to it, just hope I can sort my face out first.

Crazy same here. Eyes and nose are streaming non stop.

Exciting plans today. I'm making a lasagna and then going to defrost the freezer. Don't be jealous now 😂

Nipped to Asda for a few bits. What's the betting I bump into why again as I've come out in my painting clothes 😂

Thankfully no! I'm back home and I think I've finally finished painting the cupboard. I've just got to get all the handles and hinges back on now.

Once I get it out of the murky garage I'll be able to check for any obvious missed spots and do a last touch up if necessary. Then I can fill it up and clear the corner in the kitchen where the shoes are currently living.

Bedroom decorating is also happening so things are finally coming together.

Afternoon all, I'm in isolation as I have no sense of smell. Hopefully my test comes back negative. Not having much luck atm everyone in our house has had a test at something in the last month for one reason or another. It's ds birthday in 10 days as well. Gonna spend my afternoon I'm bed away from the family just in case and maybe watch some films.

In sporners' news my latest stye is coming to a head...on the inside of my eye. That's going to be unpleasant when it pops. 🤮🤮

Oh, and my hayfever isn't as bad as it was, which is a relief. I've gone from full blown dying to just itchy eyes in the main. Which is good.

Haha Woolly you were safe as I am at work all day. You know I would have spotted you if I was there mind you.

I'm sneezing and my head is itching (does anyone else get that??), and DS is coughing and spluttering with it. So, another day off school and another Covid test for him 🙄

I've made him do school work this time because he's not ill, and DD refused to nap because there were more interesting things going on. So, on the hottest day of the year so far, I've been stuck at home with two kids who have either been screeching at me and pinching me, or else talking non-stop about space ships instead of practicing his handwriting! Send ...

Ds gets hayfever. He used Benadryl liquid twice a day and a non medicated nasal spray. He gets a really bad cough from it but previously has also had really sore puffy eyes, thankfully he hasn't had that this time (touch wood). I have to say I haven't bothered with a Covid test for him as I'm sure as I can be that it's hayfever. It's meant to rain soon which usually ups the pollen count but will hopefully cool it down a bit. So sticky.

32c on the thermometer today , I was sweating into a greasy little puddle (and this is with air-con )

I need to get a wriggle on with DD presents for Birthday .

What does she want 70? You do age = number of little presents don't you? Is that over and above a "big" present? My DDs got half a washing machine each for their birthdays.

Why I probably could have been spotted a mile off. Since my perm my hair has become quite haystack-y apart from the day I wash it. I was definitely channelling my inner Hermione today.

Fluffy how's the stye? I had one on the inside of my lower eyelid once and it was so painful I went to A&E where the Doc squeezed it and it burst came away like a pirate with antibiotic eyedrops and saline eyewash. 😂😂
DH has just been in for his tape measure muttering about "centres" 🤦🏻‍♀️ I suspect we're buying a new shed fixing the shed roof tomorrow. Cross everything that I don't fall over again - my ribs are still a bit sore.

Woolly The best presents I've had were a freezer from my dad and a pressure washer from DH.

I got a shed from my mum the other year. And a weed burner last year. Getting older = practical presents! 😁

That's where my stye is, Puss. It stings a bit that'll be the pus building up inside, no doubt!. 🤮

How long has it been building up...mine took about 3 hours from "I think there's dust in my eye" to "My eye is exploding help me "

He's come back in now...he's just "measuring things up" for tomorrow.

I've bought her some pyjamas so this week I'm searching nail polishes .

Woolly yes we do Present per Year (started when she was 10yo and got a laptop so ten little gifts )

She hasn;t said what she wants as her main gift but I know she wants a new belly jewel .
