Sorry to hear that @lachy hope you're feeling better soon!

Loving that TV. I have an electric stove, which I can just switch the flame effect on without the heat so can use even in the summer. I probably use it a bit too much as I'm having to refill it quite often Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/06/2021 14:16

No germs here either lachy. I'm going to put money on it being your DD. She probably hasn't even been affected by the germs but has successfully handed them off to you.

No laundry here either. Loads done earlier in the week so there are now just a few bits languishing in the bottom of the basket waiting for the weekend and the uniform wash.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 09/06/2021 15:08

Plumber has been Grin
We need a new cartridge for the shower...I googled them, they're about £120-140, so I can't see us having much change out of £200.
DH will have to do very well backing some nags at Royal Ascot next week to make a dent in that! 😂
lachy are you sure it's not hay fever? Mine had quietened down, but today it's rampant.
Woolly I thought I'd done all my laundry, but found one pair of knickers which I'd missed loitering in the bottom of the basket. 🤦🏻‍♀️

pussycatlickinglollyices · 09/06/2021 15:09

70 let us know if you do...I'd love to know what happens with it when you sneeze...🤧😂

pussycatlickinglollyices · 09/06/2021 15:18

as in, does it fly out and shoot across the room??
Shock

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/06/2021 15:25

puss that certainly would be something to think about !
I have to clench when I sneeze (ancient with two childbirths under my belt) , make sure I don't aggrevate my scars from my surgery and I wouldn't be able to pinch my nose 'cos it would hurt !

DD tells me a tragus would hurt in headphones (though I don't wear them often) I worry if it would tangle in masks .

DD and DH are very Xmas Hmm if I mention a nosestud but it's my face .
I just have the wrong nostrils shape IMO .

pussycatlickinglollyices · 09/06/2021 15:53

Even without the stud in your nose, you've got your hands full concentrating on clenching/holding on to everything else...

Why not get that Kipling bag instead? Grin

CrazyBaubles · 09/06/2021 15:57

I'm also going to say no germs here lachy, just awful hay fever I'm afraid.

I though I just had my dressing gown to wash - then found 2 towels and a few other bits DH hadn't unpacked from his weekend bag 🙄
Will put it all on as a half wash tomorrow. I have a curry stain on my favourite dress which hasn't come out so will have to have another go at sorting that out and rewash it too...

70 as a long time nosebleed sufferer I've never considered a nose piercing. I always wanted my lip done but was too scared. Had my tongue done as a teen though and got a a terrible tattoo Grin

Work is almost done which has been hard going today. As always, exciting plans here to do bits around the house, give the dog a good brush and I may do a little online shopping. I need a watering can and I got drawn in by a S&B thread the other day about cocktail rings. I have a £15 Amazon voucher so may buy myself a cheapie fake one to see if I like them...

pussycatlickinglollyices · 09/06/2021 16:15

I'll just stay here I think...

Charliebradbury · 09/06/2021 16:30

I do have germs but only from yesterday so I promise you it's not me.... my germs came from dd who bounced back in like 24 hrs but I doubt I will do the same.

I have spent the day feeling sorry for myself and dealing with ds who is on day 4 of a laxative for severe constipation.... it is not fun. Might convince dh to bring me home Chinese as I am so ill haha

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/06/2021 16:46

Sounds like a good reason Charlie

Stay here puss amongst like minded Christmas nuts adults

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/06/2021 16:58

puss I bought the Kipling ( small City Backpack) in black.

I'm fearful of S&B though , if someone says I want a jumper there are loads of suggestions of shops I've never heard of and many I'd never go into.

My Go-To are M&S , some Tu (Sainsbury) , the odd Primark item.

And I never post of handbag threads , if anyone dares to post "£3000 on a handbag is obscene" they get shot down .

My own cocktail ring type is on that thread Crazy it's a QVC £20 Diamonique tanzanite . Not dainty and I'd never pass it as real !

SpnBaby1967 · 09/06/2021 17:31

No germs here, just murderous hayfever. Right eye has swelled up so badly I can't open it and it's my "good" eye. Fun times!

We finally exchanged on our sale/purchase on monday so need to go into serious packing mode as we complete on 25th. But I cant find the oomph, I feel like I'm more of a last minute packer.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 09/06/2021 17:50

woolly I was sooooo out of my depth over there...
Grin
70 I've got a QVC Diamonique tanzanite too... cushion cut? DH wanted to buy me a real one he likes the colour but when I showed him the price he nearly choked on his Brew Grin it might pass as real, but I'd never keep a straight face!
Tu from Sains is pretty good. It's nearly M&S, but a lot cheaper.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/06/2021 17:51

Godawful hayfever here too. It's been hideous this week. 🤧

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/06/2021 18:21

This is mine - not sure what the cut is , it's a softened emerald cut rather than oval .

If it was a fingernail it'd be squoval Xmas Grin .

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/06/2021 23:27

We keep finding white floaty planty fluff in the air .
Like very whispy cotton wool rather than dandelion clocks .

I think someone might have disemboweled a duvet? Not good for anyone with hayfever

TheWoollybacksWife · 09/06/2021 23:47

It could be goat willow fluff 70. Photo from the internet

lachy · 10/06/2021 06:30

@70isaLimitNotaTarget we do too. It's driving me crackers, as it gets everywhere.

I'm making it worse by having all the windows open so it's collecting under the sofa and in all the corners!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/06/2021 06:43

I read that as 'panty' fluff! 😳

I have only just woken up though. 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 10/06/2021 06:50

Anyway... 198

Morning! Lovely and sunny again today. I'll have to go watering again tomorrow morning! ☀️ ☀️

pussycatlickinglollyices · 10/06/2021 08:31

Cloudy here. Isn't there supposed to be an eclipse? I doubt we'll notice Grin

CrazyBaubles · 10/06/2021 09:09

Morning.

70 I think I saw you on the S&B cocktail ring thread. I'm planning on buying a cheapie to see if I like it then I may treat myself to a proper one near Christmas time, although I quite like the idea of building up a collection of cheap ones so I can pick whatever colour stone I'm in the mood for.

puss there are about 3 types of S&B threads I like - jewellery ones, the long running ones where they post pics of royals and critique their outfits and wedding dress ones.
I'm always Shock when people post 'what do you think of this shirt' then post a pic of some random jazzy coloured / patterned £150 monstrosity 😂

No chance of seeing an eclipse here, it's cloudy. Met office says pollen is medium but I look like I'm crying and I'm all stuffy.

I was planning an off camera day because I look terrible but have just been invited to a meeting where cameras will definitely be expected to be on so now I have to try and make myself look presentable 😩

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/06/2021 09:23

I couldn't sleep last night , I was boiling ( stuffy weather and hot flushes Xmas Sad ) . I cannot sleep without a cover but the duvet is too warm. I need to find a top sheet .

My eyes are heavy , not hayfever probaby just knackered .

My neighbours have a tree that might be throwing the fluff off , but I've never noticed this much before ? Maybe it depends on the weather ?

Xmas Grin at Panty fluff
