I've just got back from the gym, it's so warm I'm sitting outside having a coffee. Dh is working and I've got someone coming to re gas the air con later. Will get some washing done and pack for tomorrow.

I'm going out to pick up the rest of Ds's birthday presents. Then hopefully a relaxing afternoon, the kids can play in the garden with DH and I can read a book. Just gotta actually get ready first.

Good luck with your drive! I remember when we were little my mum used to set me and my sister up with paper and pencil and made us track car colours and / or draw pictures.

We have survived a night in a room as hot as the surface of the sun! Why do hotels insist on winter weight duvets all year round? It can't be in their best interests to have excessive sweating for their bedding to absorb. 🤮🤮

I've done some planting , started the Yorkie Puddings and roast potatoes . We'll eat when DS comes back .

I have to look for some nice things for my DD - saw some PJs online in M&S and Uniqlo that I reckon she'll like so I'll look in real life .

Afternoon! DDis in the garden wailing. DH has said no to playing a messy game and because she is shattered it's the end of the bloody world. I'm wondering whether I should crack open more gin....

70 we drank a cocktail (cosmo's) then the bottle of wine then more cocktails (mojitos). My friend made them - I think she followed the recipe exactly for the first lot but just threw in random amounts for the mojitos and they were deadly 😂

When I was seeing my sister and the kids yesterday niece had a tantrum because she wanted to go to the park about 5 mins before we were all leaving - to go to the park 🙄

I'm ok I think. I didn't get to sleep until 2, woke at 6:30. Let the dog out, drank some squash, ate a piece of toast, settled back into bed watching TV, conked out until 10. A shower and cuppa later and I felt ok.

I've done some crocheting (making fingerless unicorn gloves for my niece) and am just back from lunch out with DH and my parents.
It's bloody boiling here so I think we'll be relaxing with the fan on this afternoon / evening.

lachy my ds had a tantrum the other day because I couldn't make the clouds move....
I've had a chilled day other than doing washing. Hoping both dc's go to sleep tonight and I plan on curling up with a book. Not looking forward to back to normal tomorrow after half term.

God, we're knackered. We've just got back to the hotel room after a long afternoon. We arrived in London just after 2pm and have walked almost 8 miles since then! The kids are wiped out!

We saw the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, and had a long walk along the Thames, then back to Prezzo. We then went to London Bridge and walked along to Tower Bridge, which we crossed both ways before heading back to the station and our hotel. Tomorrow is the Natural History Museum.

Lachy, kids' tantrums are desperately illogical. Our kids have bonkers tantrums at times, even now. It's wearing.

Tonight's hotel room isn't quite as bad, Crazy. But the window doesn't open, so I'm hoping the fan does the trick.

Are you heading home after London Fluffy or are you going back to your parents first? Sounds like you had a packed day.

Crazy sounds like you escaped an epic hangover. I'm knitting cardigan for a new family baby due later in the summer. My sister gifted me a packet of wool and there is enough left over for a cardigan for the youngest granddaughter of another sister.

fluffy How was your hotel room last night?
DH said he took the train to London for £10 return (First Class, early on a Sat am) and spend pretty much all day in the NHM (they had the dino then not the whale).
It doesn't feel quite as hot this morning (so far) so I might do a few jobs I'd been putting off.

Hot and noisy, Puss! Like the loo was constantly filling. 🙄🙄 No other bugger seemed arsed, but I was awake for an hour or so at 1am! 😴 However, we went to sleep when the kids did, so I've had enough sleep! 🤣

The fan reached the bed DH was in, so he had cool air. (DS likes to sleep in with me in a hotel room / on holiday!)

It'll be typical if it's less warm on the day we're indoors! Yesterday was a sweaty one with all the walking.

Woolly, we're driving straight home. The kids will sleep in the car. They're off school tomorrow, so have time to sleep-in / relax.

Our hotel room is pretty cool (temperature wise!). We've just had breakfast and will go and do some shopping soon. The dc need some new bits.

I got really burnt yesterday and I'm so cross about it. If was cloudy and drizzly when we left home but warm and sunny here, the sun cream was in the car though so I didn't have any on. Ds was fine as he was sensible in his hat and kept his jumper on (for security ) the rest of us didn't fair so well.

DH has got me mixing some mortar in a bit to repoint a bit of the roof/overhang at the front.

I slept rubbish considering how tired it was. It's so so hot here, I hate it. Roll on winter 😂

Nothing planned today except work, a few bits around the house and washing because 🤞🏼 my washing machine is due to be delivered this afternoon and my wash basket is overflowing!

We did the NHM this morning. DS was properly freaked out by the moving model T-Rex. Bit of a fail! 🙈

We then popped to see Buckingham Palace on our way back up the tube line to the car. We paid £16 to park for 24 hours in Wembley. Could've been worse, I suppose!

It's so damn oppressively hot in London. Not pleasant!

We were going to spend the full day in London, but the kids are exhausted, through lack of sleep and the heat, so we're in the car heading home now.

My hayfever is appalling at the moment...god knows what's going on!

Afternoon. I had a parent/ teacher meeting today and got told my dd is a "natural born leader" which I think is a nice teacher way of saying bossy haha. But overall a good report so on the hunt for a well done present.
Would have got one earlier but dcat was attacked so had to deal with that.
It's not too warm here in Wales, living by the coast has some perks.
