My new machine is very small by both your standards - 8kg I think? But you can stop it to add things in if you've missed something.
All I want is one with a decent spin, a good hot wash, to be able to delay / set a timer to start and for it to last!

We have apparently started a 'keeping up with the Joneses' thing with our neighbour opposite. They were putting together a mini-shed type thing for their bins and the wife cheerfully told us that since my DH chatted with hers and mentioned we were going to keep the bins out the back but partition a bit of space for them so they're hidden away, he's been determined to do something similar.
She then went on to mention that before our fence was built at the side she could see our back garden and 'liked what you did with the pots' so she's been looking for similar ones and wanted to know what I've planted and where we got our parasol from.
Not sure whether to be a bit concerned of flattered tbh

You need to fob her off with "just some plants from the garden centre" and don't forget, the parasol was a house-warming gift
My NDN has copied some of our plants the following weekend, so it was really obvious and got her DH to put a door curtain up behind the front door as she'd seen ours and asked DH where it was from When we retiled the ensuite, I deliberately collected all of the purple offcuts and bagged them before they went in the skip to put her off the scent 😂

Ooh, that could escalate, Crazy! You need to be noncommittal at all times. Don't engage. And instruct DH to keep his trap shut too!

Woolly, are you sad that they've gone? Must be weird to lose both at once!

And yes, the board is definitely busier. I do think the halfway point tips some more people into action!

It is a bit strange Fluffy. Because it's half term I've seen them both every day so far - it may feel a bit more weird once they are both back in their term time routine. It's great that they are independent and happy.

I'm still sorting out the house. It's honestly like living through 'A Squash and a Squeeze' - all of a sudden there is so much more room 😂

I can confirm Fluffy isn't scary and does not bite. She did however throw a hairbrush at me when we were kids, that I ducked to avoid and it smashed into many pieces.

puss DS is moving into a bigger bedroom once we redecorate it. Then we'll do his old room and the other spare room. Downstairs was decorated the year before last apart from the kitchen. That was done last year along with our bedroom so we should be done for a little bit. Hopefully we'll move (downsize) before it all needs doing again 😂

Sorry Fluffy I thought I'd replied to you. He does miss them - but they wind each other up too so he's not missing that.

Woolly DH sometimes considers downsizing...but it would probably cost more, and he'd have nowhere for his PS. 😂

fluffy my cousin once hit me with his cricket bat and it had a similar effect...not sure my nose has ever really recovered!🤦🏻‍♀️

Dsis and I never fought as kids - we had one teenage arguement where I pushed her and she threw her drink over me but my cousins and I were awful.

I threw a wooden jewellery box once - it hit my cousin in the head which was impressive given my rubbish aim but I think the worst was definitely him shooting me with a BB gun 😱 He got me in the leg and it bloody hurt. Shocked us both though so it only happened once!

I'm just getting ready to meet 2 friends for tea. I haven't seen them in ages - was hoping it would stay warm-ish but it's been raining here all afternoon 🙄

We have rain forecast from 8 tonight. The wind is picking up and it's getting quite dark outside too. It's rather ominous. I've just watered the garden too! 🤦‍♀️

My music case wasn't quite as immovable as a cricket bat, Puss. It had some give in it!

I typed a post and it's vanished.

I've defrosted the fridge in the kitchen. I just have to hope it works when I turn it back on in the morning...it's 20!

We didn't have enough rain to wet the patio, so the spuds have been watered. I'll do everything else early tomorrow.

I'm just home. Thoroughly enjoyed that catch up - I need to make more effort with my friends.
One of them is coming with me to the Harry Potter play (if it's on) at the end of November so we were discussing doing some Christmas shopping while we're there.

It rained from 12 until around 7 here, which is good because I forgot to water the plants yesterday
