I have put some washing on the line with another load to go on. Just cooking dinner before I go to work later. Nothing exciting though. Will probably have takeaway pizza on Monday as I am on an early.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/05/2021 14:26

I've done 4+ hours at the allotment and spent 4 of those weeding / putting beans and peas in the ground. It's looking half decent now (you can tell I'm trying to deal with weeds, even though I'm failing!).

We had a tiny amount of rain yesterday evening. Nothing to write home about though. Apparently there's a 30% chance later. 🤷‍♀️

CrazyBaubles · 29/05/2021 18:02

No lottery win for me yesterday either I'm afraid 😔

I've had a lovely day though. I saw one of my best mates for the first time in 18 months and it was so nice to see her. DH took the dog out and made himself scarce so I could fully relax so we went out for dinner then back here so she could see the house then we sat drinking cocktails. She's just left and I'm merry and happy 😂

CrazyBaubles · 29/05/2021 18:41

Oh we popped into town along the way and this pj top fell into my basket, no idea how.... Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 29/05/2021 18:43

Where is that from, Crazy?!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/05/2021 18:54

I pootled along to get some compost , there were little planter things with Snowman/Father Christmas/Penguin decorations on them.

They were sweet but as my DC are Old Haridans now I passed up the oppportnity of a Christmas Bargain (in May Xmas Grin )

Funny how that happens Crazy things just launch themselves into my trolley too !

TheWoollybacksWife · 29/05/2021 21:15

Great top Crazy

I've accidentally stopped making my own bread 70. The bread machine died so I was making it by hand and then just sort of stopped. I'm deliberately trying to eat less bread so it's helped with that but I could just eat a slice of toasted homemade bread right now.

I've got some ace bits from the butcher for tomorrow's BBQ and I'm going to make a jug of sangria and chill.

Good morning! It's gonna be a - relative - scorcher today! ☀️😁

We're going to a country park, partly to get out and partly to collect an office chair for me from my manager, who collected it from the office last time she went in!

It makes me so happy how lovely the weather is! I think I'll go and water the allotment when I wake up tomorrow. The pressure is better really early in the day; the plants can have a good soak.

CrazyBaubles · 30/05/2021 10:12

Morning.
I'm glad you all like the top - was from Primark and cost me a whole £1 Xmas Grin
I haven't mentioned it to DH, just put it away.

Woolly I've stopped buying bread because I eat it mindlessly when I haven't got a plan for a meal. We don't make it so I've just gone without and it's been fine.

I started my day with a lovely nosebleed (mixture of being too hot and bloody hay fever making me sneeze I think) so that was nice.
Have since stuck a wash on which will go on the line once I've had my shower then it's a relaxed day with a short 20 min walk to FILs for a BBQ (and possibly some wine), lazy walk back and relaxing.
It's meant to hit 22degrees here which is about 7 degrees hotter than I like it so I'm going to be spending most of my time hiding inside or in the shade I think.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/05/2021 12:21

We've been to the pub and had a beer in the beer garden. Luxury! 🍻

CrazyBaubles · 30/05/2021 16:57

We are just back FILs. Slight drama because it was bloody scorching and both SILs partner and I burn. DH asked about putting up the parasol and FIL was a bit snappy about it not being needed etc. Not sure what happened there, he's usually falling over himself to be accommodating.
All sorted though (DH and SILs partner got it out of the shed and put it up while FIL was inside dishing up salad etc for the Bbq).

No drinks for me - the heat and pollen meant I had yet another nosebleed about 5 mins from home so I'm sat with a fan on my face and a glass of water Hmm

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 30/05/2021 17:38

I have mostly sat on observations watching the gorgeous sky through the window. Have had some fresh air when outside for the cigarette time though.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/05/2021 18:24

Sounds a bit odd, Crazy. At least you got it sorted.

Why was the nosebleed child, IIRC. I believe she grew out of them. I hope you don't have any more.

I have mown the lawn and a snail! and watered the plants. I'm just on my way back from the Amazon locker at Dobbies collecting bargain Christmas presents from the thread! It's toasty. ☀️☀️

NoWordForFluffy · 30/05/2021 18:25

The - opened - greenhouse was 30° when we got back earlier! The washing is very dry indeed. I'm looking round the house for more washing; it's that kind of weather!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/05/2021 18:47

Didn't do any washing today , I saw NDN setting up for a party/BBQ so knew there would be smoke wafting.

I have to wash bedding tomorrow so I'll get that done early .

Went shopping today with DD ( CBA on Fri or Sat) I bought myself some Converse and some T-Shirts for DS .
I'm trying to decide on things for my Birthday (already bought the Converse and some M&S clothes ) but I'm swithering over a Kipling bag ......

Cooked Sunday Dinner (including Yorkshire Puddings Xmas Grin ) in the new cooker .

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 30/05/2021 21:26

Yeah I grew out of them Fluffy thankfully. I occasionally get them now but not often.

CrazyBaubles · 30/05/2021 22:25

Fluffy I thought I'd grown out of them but they came back with a vengeance when my bp was getting stupidly high a few years ago (they were one of the symptoms I went to the dr about and it led them to my bp issue).

Today was just an awful mix of hay fever sniffing / sneezing / congestion and heat (with the accompanying increase in bp).
They've left me with a bugger of a headache too.

70 I'm going to be washing bedding tomorrow too - it'll be clearing my washing basket as it's meant to be very sunny again.

I was told by my mum recently that I'm too old for trainers and she specifically mentioned Converse and Vans Shock
I mean, I ignored here and bought a good Adidas pair and will be replacing my battered Vans soon but still - I'm 35!

CrazyBaubles · 30/05/2021 22:26

Oh and I almost forgot, I watered the plants this evening. Wildflowers are coming along - lots of leaves and stems coming. Herbs are going very well and we have some early, still green strawberries. I'm very excited!

Morning.
We had a busy upside down with everthing out of position day yesterday, dh shampooed all of the downstairs carpets. He's doing the stairs and upstairs today.
Crazy I'm like you. I burn, I overheat and feel ill, and you've reminded me to take antihistamines, Thank You Grin I'm crap at remembering to take tablets. Oh, and apart from 1 pair of black shoes, I only own trainers, so you're not too old 👟
70 Which Kipling bag? I've a few and treated myself to a large tote bag (used for my sewing) recently.
Gotta go, dh is faffing in the garage. Never a good sign! 🤔😂

NoWordForFluffy · 31/05/2021 07:31

Do you have the kit or have you hired it, Boots? I'm considering doing ours annually, as it won't take as long done more often!

I'm just going to the allotment to water. I hope the tap isn't in use yet. The gate is shut, so fingers crossed!

There's a cold breeze and it was a bit grey. Clearing now, however.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/05/2021 08:43

I'm back home. It was a tad chilly, but everything had a good soak, so should last until I go back on Friday now.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/05/2021 10:11

puss its a Kipling City backpack (I'm not a handbaggy person but I like the look of it and I've been stalking various Kipling backpacks)

I've planted up a couple of PassionFlower climbers for the empty looking paved bit in our garden .

I love Converse hi-tops even though I have to spend a few minutes doing the laces (at my age Xmas Blush ) the lower sided ones don't give me the support .

ConstantlyCooking · 31/05/2021 10:17

Good morning, we're enjoying the bank holiday as DS,DiL and DGD are here 😁.
My apple trees produced blossom this year so I am hoping for a little crop in the autumn. In the meantime, I need to tidy my herbs to make sure I have enough mint (for pimms) in the summer.
DD's finals start tomorrow so fingers crossed.

TheWoollybacksWife · 31/05/2021 10:18

I'm 50+ and I'm making cow eyes at a pair of Adidas gazelles. Luckily I'm a size 4 so can get away with buying from the junior range that are £43 rather than £70

NerosFiddle · 31/05/2021 10:22

Morning.

I've been M.I.a. For a while. Life just seems to keep getting in the way of everything.

It's to be 26degrees today. I'll spend most of it hiding from the sun.

I'll try and catch up with you all now.
