Puss, potatoes seem to be doing well, some better than others. We've had so much rain / sun / rain / sun it's not surprising. I reckon their madness is possibly a couple of weeks away, however (I only see them once a week, so they may be bonkers now, however!).

The weather is warming up from today. About bloody time.

We're "out of the way", you wouldn't come here unless you were visiting someone iyswim - and if you were visiting and your car broke down, surely you'd go back inside?
The car is an old Polo (c2003-2006 ish judging by the shape) but I can't see it's plates and it's parked with the boot against the fence...

We had a bit of an issue yesterday with people visiting some neighbours who have no parking near their house. Visitors blocked our drive and were really arsey when I asked them to move because "the old owners didn't mind as they were hardly here." 🙄 I was polite and explained that arrangement was over as we live here now and I do mind - the man looked very embarrassed but the woman (driver) was very rude! They moved in the end though.

lachy is it decorating you're doing or are there big kitchen / bathroom / electrics / plastering needed?

We made a list of jobs / things we needed to buy when we moved in. For a while it felt like we added more to it than we crossed off but were down to about 10 jobs for us and 5 for my dad now 😂

Puss I am only off on Wednesday next week till the weekend anyway so the sun better stay out for me #NoPressureSunshine as for the car I am a nosy cow and would probably go up to the car and ask if there was an issue if there was someone in it.

I still don't know how he managed to park his car diagonally across the middle...🤔...unless he was pissed (or similar) when he abandoned it last night - it wasn't there at 2am when I got up for a pee.

your NDNs visitors are a bit like our NDNs (and their in-laws) happy to block us in and out, even though they've made a massive parking area for their caravan which is going to Blackpool on Monday for a week
I've told DH I will abandon my car across our drive if I return and can't park and I mean it which will block all access to them 😇

why I will keep everything crossed that you get a nice day on Weds.

Popped out this morning with DH to get gas for the BBQ and ended up with a tray of bedding plants and some citronella candles too. Definitely going to change my order with the butcher so we can BBQ on Sunday and possibly Monday. There's no way I'm cooking a roast dinner when I could be sitting in the garden with a cold glass of wine. Many thanks to why for her influence with the weather.

I think dickhead neighbour and his million cars moved yesterday - hopefully to somewhere with adequate parking.

@CrazyBaubles it's a combination of things, but it's not until you start that you realise just what actually needs doing. For example in M's room we need to replace skirting boards as there is a great chunk missing. DH has had to strip the windowsill as there was a weird crackle effect paint which DH swore greatly over.

We will eventually replace the kitchen and bathrooms but we need to save up (or win the lottery...) first.

I'm a lightweight these days why - 2 large glasses and I'm done.

Yes. I'm getting BBQ food in too. If there's any left tomorrow!

Morning, off to Morrisons in a few mins.
It's quite grey here, which meant I stayed in bed past 4.30

Yes, grey here too. One more grey day, then a lovely sunny half term!

I've got a cracking headache going on, it's grim. I went to sleep on the sofa last night. It worked well though as I woke up as NT tickets for next weekend came on sale, so booked us into Shugborough for our trip down south. It breaks the journey up nicely and the kids get a good run about too. Nicer than a service station!

DH walked home from Morrisons, so I had the joy of shopping alone I'd driven home, parked up and had just opened the front door when he got back. At least I had some help unloading the boot.
They had loads of salad and bbq stuff, but a lot of it with BB 29th and 30th May on.
Well done with the tickets. DH wanted to go there, but we've never got around to it even thought it's not that far.

It's really nice. And the kids love the remote controlled mower called Molly! 😂🤣
