why yes, well, in this house you have to rinse the cat fur off, obvs. Blush Grin

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 24/05/2021 11:38

Now my daughter has left home we only have the cockatiel so no fur of any description. Although she does bring the guinea pig round with her when she comes.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 24/05/2021 15:00

why that's sweet. Do you have to buy extra salad? Grin

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 24/05/2021 18:07

He usually has snacks in his travel box on the way to our house but sometimes has a small piece of carrot or radish Pussy.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/05/2021 18:22

Ahh guinea-pigs are gorgeous why You could earn yourself extra Piggie Points by cutting him a few dandelions (make sure they're not sprayed with anything or peed on by animals ) not too many .
They hoover them up Xmas Grin

And they;d have sold their own spleens for parsley!

My DS has ketchup on everything savoury , he has food with his sauce .

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 24/05/2021 21:37

He likes coriander as well 70. (His current favourite).

Morning!

Your DD's piggy is very cute, Why! I'd love to get piggies again, but this is very much a cat neighbourhood, so it wouldn't be wise (RIP Inky 😢).

I like whole tomatoes and tomato-based pasta sauces. I find ketchup grim!

My cross stitch is coming on. The second quarter isn't as fast as the first, but then it's full coverage where the first quarter wasn't! I can't go any faster either except if I stopped going wrong and wasted time in unpicking and re-stitching!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/05/2021 08:42

Morning.
I like ketchup with sausages...and occasionally to dunk a chip into. Grin
When I was younger I'd have food with my ketchup, so maybe I am now a grown-up? Shock
I looked after the class piggy (my mum hated him and said he was smelly) about 40yrs ago. He squeaked a lot, so was a bit more interesting as a pet than Spot (goldfish).
I've nearly finished Niagara Falls, just a little bit of back stitch to do when there's some actual daylight and then it's Neuschwanstein Castle, followed by Portofino or St Basils Cathedral...I might buy the Statue of Liberty too.

CrazyBaubles · 25/05/2021 08:44

Morning. I can see the sun ☀️ Shock First time in days so I'm putting washing out in a minute.

I never liked small pets, have always preferred and had dogs, but since DH got a hamster as a class pet (that has lived with us since lockdown), I may have changed my mind. She's gotten under my skin and I find myself organising treats for her, finding things to keep her occupied and just generally enjoying talking to her and watching her do hamster things.
I would consider Guinea pigs but I doubt DH would.

I bloody love ketchup Blush I have it with almost everything.

Cross stitch is looking good Fluffy.

I haven't had a full thread catch up yet. We went out for food last night which was really nice, and we stopped by my sisters on the way home (and got roped into putting the kids to bed). Will try and catch up properly later.

CrazyBaubles · 25/05/2021 11:14

Oh I forgot - it's the 25th

🎄🎄 Happy Rudolph Day 🎄🎄

Presents for you.... Xmas Grin

Bruuuuuuuce!! 🎄

NoWordForFluffy · 25/05/2021 16:18

Got to love a Bruce fix! Xmas Grin

I've not done anything for Rudolph Day. Can't think of what to do!

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 25/05/2021 17:39

I have never forgotten Inky and his unfortunate end Fluffy. The little sod did love to escape/hide.

Tommy is a house piggy and he is so funny. He loves watching TV especially the Simpsons and Formula One.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/05/2021 18:33

Happy Rudolph Day even if it does mean an improntu Brucie picture

No Christmas planning here but DH and I are going to decorate our bedroom within the next couple of weeks . We're starting from scratch (but have honey pine furniture) so I'm thinking beige/buff ( not cream) and wine red.
I've seen some curtains online that I think are lovely and DH doesn't think are hideous . I can pick out colours for accent and it'll look nice at Christmas too Xmas Grin

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/05/2021 19:30

Excellent forward planning 70. I could only get DH to agree to sage green and cream for our bedroom. I've got a Christmas cushion that I put on the bed for the festive season but it's dark red. I'd like to find something similar in forest green - I'll look in TKmaxx towards the end of the year.

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 26/05/2021 06:25

Wow I've missed a few days, thanks to cracking my tooth on a piece of bread... Yes, really. This thread moves quickly! I've never heard of rudolph day but I'm now gutted I have missed it Sad I need to up my game!
I used to have Guinea pigs....so cute. I keep promising myself and my little boy we can have more one day, just not sure I can manage another little person to be responsible for atm! It's a miracle we get through most days I think (most would say I suppose you just have to make sure it has some food and it's cage is clean on the very busy days but I also happen to do this with my children...) 🤔

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 26/05/2021 06:25

Oh. Obviously my children aren't in cages 😅

Morning!

Hurrah for it being the middle of the week...and I'm only working a 3 day week next week. Whoop!

lachy · 26/05/2021 07:28

Morning!

70 we are decorating too. Dunelm had some gorgeous plaid curtains in their sale (cream predominantly but with accents IYKWIM)

Looks like the weather will improve for the weekend 👌 I'm getting a little bit bored of wearing jumpers all the time!

NoWordForFluffy · 26/05/2021 07:57

Yes, we have a tropical 21° forecast on Sunday. I must nip out to get BBQ food before it all gets snapped up!

Does the whole house need decorating, lachy? Has your move trauma subsided now?

CrazyBaubles · 26/05/2021 08:16

Morning.
My Rudolph day didn't go quite to plan (I wanted to finish my little Christmas cross stitch) as we went to look at a car for DH which took ages and we didn't end up buying anyway 🙄

70 my DH has pleaded to have the bedroom as the one Christmas free room and I've agreed BUT when we moved, he chose check / tartan curtains (maybe similar to yours lachy as we got them from Dunelm)
and a pale grey check / tartan wall paper for one wall. I didn't say anything but I'm pretty sure this means I can have brushed cotton check / tartan bedding in any colour ie red or green and make the room look Christmassy and he can't complain

I'm also planning to decorate the spare room because technically it's also my office

Have checked the weather - typically we have sun today and tomorrow, rain on Friday when I have a day off 🙄 and nicer weather for the weekend.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 26/05/2021 08:56

Morning. It will be lovely this weekend as I am working through the whole lot. It always seems to be sunny when I work at weekends.

I am off for a few days now and I aim to do some ironing today.

TheWoollybacksWife · 26/05/2021 09:22

I'm ironing today too why and then tomorrow's good weather is likely to fill my basket back up again Confused

lachy · 26/05/2021 09:30

Everything needs doing 😫. There isn't anywhere that doesn't need a complete do-over. We'll get there eventually, we're sorting out DD's room first then our room...I have a plan - DH is cursing because the list of stuff to do is ENORMOUS Grin
