We've had a lovely, chilled, day building Lego. I should probably eat more cheese to really finish the day in style though. 🧀🧀🧀

Afternoon everyone. Miserable morning here, lashing from the heavens. Trying to get outstanding bits done today, want to empty that ironing basket too. Had an interrupted night many times as could not sleep and also DH had about call outs. He's knackered and I'm knackered.

We had a roofer here today, removing defunct solar panels and making good the hole with new tiles. The panels were meant to pre-heat the water going into the boiler, but didn't work, so were useless and water was getting in around where they were installed. And now they're gone after lots of banging and thumping round!

I have a headache. It's not good. I've taken paracetamol and codeine after getting back from food shopping. Hopefully it'll go soon.

I just got my biggest ever haul of Nectar points in one shop from DH's bonus points. I spent £24 and got £7 of points. Win!

We have children's mental health week next week. Seems a bit ironic in the circs really.

Was hoping for a lay in but ds talking to DH woke me up around half six he's now playing fortnite with his friend so is still being loud.

I'm going to do some housework and bake low carb cookies today, that's probably about it. Then I'll bribe the dc with something later to let me have the tv. Still got one and a half seasons of how to get away with murder to watch.

Morning I am working from home today. Saves going out in the rain/sleet, I am sure we are going to get washed away at some point soon.

We've got rain forecast all day too. Poor dh is working out in it.

I still have my headache. It feels like a dehydration headache now, oddly. More painkillers and plenty of fluid today.

We were forecast rain but that's apparently not happening now. It's really rather windy though.

I can't take our two to the garden centre as they just want to buy toys! It's a pain in the arse.

We went to the beach today. We stayed 10 minutes. It was so cold and windy.

Fluffy my headache felt like that too. I'm thinking it's more of a hormone headache now.

It's Saturday so that means the family zoom quiz tonight. They were grand at the start but now ...

It's probably hormones here. I've just had my weird, as is standard these days period, so it's likely. And given how weird light it was, I'll probably have another grim, and heavy one in a week or so. Hurrah for being peri! 🙄

I walked into town, doing a loop from here, to Argos, to Asda and back home. About 5 miles, apparently. I've picked up the duvet covers for the kids (Christmas!) and now have my dad's birthday present, so can get that wrapped and posted down to him.

We need to post the nieces' presents to NZ too. I got cards today so will send both parcels together.

Fluffy my day did go to plan - house was as tidy as we can make it given the amount of stuff that doesn't have a home yet, and I added a lot to my Pinterest boards.
Sneezing has become sniffles and headache though which is a bit annoying 🤧

Neros we're still taking part in a weekly zoom quiz too. It's with DHs family and I don't mind it - it's nice to see people.
Not a fan of being the quiz host though!

My day probably couldn't be more boring if I tried. Sorting / tidying / looking online. That's about it. I haven't even taken the dog for a walk because I feel rubbish.

I've had a productive day. I've done trips to Tesco and the butcher plus I made a big pot of hidden veg tomato sauce and portioned it up for the freezer. Then this afternoon I sewed buttons onto the stuff I've knitted for my great-niece's baby and I'm now knitting a sock while the rest of the gang play Mariokart.

Neros we have a weekly family zoom call with the in-laws. DH has three sisters and their husbands just walk past the screen and say hello at some point. I have to sit there for most (if not all) of the call. Most weeks I can usually bugger off after half an hour or so as the call runs into lunchtime (my BILs all seem to sort lunch out too). I like my in-laws but there are definitely some weeks that I'm nostalgic for the times when I was self isolating and didn't have to join in 😂

We've just woken up. The kids haven't made much noise yet, but DD has started to go downstairs when she gets up now, instead of waiting for us. Finally! DS can't do anything quietly, however.

No real plans today. I'll have to feed the birds and get some parsnips from the allotment. And there's still housework to do. Exciting.

I have to say that I wouldn't feel compelled to do a quiz if it was DH's family doing it. I might pop in and out, but I certainly wouldn't join in for the whole thing!

My family wouldn't set anything so horrific up! Actually, his family wouldn't either.

I've just hung washing out. It's cold out there and the ground is frozen. The garlic will be happy, Stockings!

Neros I feel a bit sorry for my DH - he has 2 family zoom things each week, one for each side of the family as his parents split when he was little. One is a quiz and one is just a random chat.
I'm not required for either so I tend to pop in and out depending on how I feel on the day.

How hard is it to grow garlic Fluffy? I'm planning my garden and as FIL hasn't grown any since he moved I may have to try and grow my own...

Plans today were to paint the bedroom and sort the spare room but that may have to wait - I'm still congested and my headache hasn't eased at all. Right now ddog and I are still in bed

We gave times dh's family yesterday for the first time since Christmas. Still didn't have much to say. I'm pleased there's no weekly zooms or anything going on here. Also would be happy to not do another quiz ever again.

I'm making a roast today and might dust and put away some washing. Other than that I'm not planning on doing anything.

I went with DH to do the click and collect orders etc just to get out of the house. I didn't get out of the car but the change of scenery was nice.

We have snow ❄️ and it's turned really cold quickly. Glad we're home now. Going to do a simple roast and try and sort out the utility room in between drinking tea and resting.

Had a bacon butty for breakfast, then prepped lunch followed by baking a ginormous chocolate brownie. Restocked the bird table and feeders, they seemed to enjoy some stale fruit cake we'd forgotten about. Just done the washing up and sat down for the first time since about 8 (other than 10 mins to wolf down lunch).
Will do some sewing now.
Icy cold outside, no snow though.
We have no family so have avoided the quizzes and zoom calls.
fluffy glad the garlic is fit and well at least it's not swimming now.

I've not actually sat down yet! 😂😂 We didn't eat lunch, so no reason to.

I've just refilled the bird feeders at the allotment and dug some parsnips out of the bog! The garlic may not be swimming, but it's still very wet.

Crazy, garlic is really easy to do. There's some you can sow about now if you look online. Wilko sell it, but delivery fees are high. Once you find out which ones can go in the ground now, you'll find them somewhere.

The snowdrops are just starting to flower at the allotment. They're so lovely!

Most of the almost-1,000 bulbs I put in a couple of years ago seem to do bog all. Maybe they'll do something at some point?! The daffs came up in Y1 and that was that!

We're having a roast too. It's DH's job, other than the Yorkshires, which I did this morning. Plus some muffins for the kids (they're made mostly of manly bananas, but we don't tell them kids that, as they 'don't like' bananas! 😂😂

Oh, I cleaned the kitchen (plus the other places I do at the same time!) earlier. Hence not sitting down yet. I saved it til today as we had curry last night and that splatters everywhere!

Lovely muffins fluffy! So we decided to go on a 5 mile walk. One quarter of the way through it began to snow. It took a lot to make it to the finish but now we are home and waiting for our McDonalds to arrive! Rest of the afternoon will be tv and cross stitch!

Show off fluffy. I haven't done anything I said I would except cook the roast, it's almost finished now.

Heavy snow here. Too wet to settle
