I haven't seen this thread yet and it's one I enjoy - the annual game of fridge jenga!

Here is ours - no meat in there yet so not sure where that is going to fit 😬

There is lots of booze & juice as well as prawn cocktail, squirty cream & double cream, red cabbage, Savoy cabbage, sprouts, a gazillion cheeses

@Sparklfairy - spot on!

BiddyPop · 22/12/2020 21:57

Mine was bad but ok after a morning outing to M&S for turkey (plus €150 more of spending - oops, should eat breakfast before shopping) that meant turkey is how in a cool box in the shower.

Then the actual internet order for the weekly shop arrived, to cover almost 2 weeks ;except milk)....Dh retreated in disbelief!! But the fridge is safely closed (and I think divorce averted when he realised there was nice cheese hidden in there....)

About as much in the Christmas spirit as bitch plopping all over a lighthearted thread in the Christmas topic.

Everybody has been pulled up on their attitude, actually.

Grits · 22/12/2020 22:13

Did anyone else get excited thinking there was 15 pages of fridge photos to look at? Xmas Wink

Sparklfairy · 22/12/2020 22:18

@formerbabe i wasn't attacking you; your continued posts positioning yourself as spokesperson for the underprivileged as a SAHM who has never used a food bank or been on benefits made me smile and think of Seneca, I apologise if I offended you. I'm sure he and you were/are well intentioned but perhaps let the ones actually experiencing life on the breadline decide if the thread is in bad taste or not? Smile

Toototwo · 22/12/2020 22:21

**Is that a tin of spam in the fridge? 😊
Put some sprouts with it, it'll be fine....Grin

You seem to think I'm some sort of wealthy virtue signaller...I'm not. No, i don't have to use food banks but I'm not well off at all...

Lisa221987 · 22/12/2020 22:36

All 4 of my fridges are bursting at the seems...

Bumpsadaisie · 22/12/2020 22:40

@LookingAfterLittleArfur

Ours
Nice.

Very polarised milk situation.

Bumpsadaisie · 22/12/2020 22:42

@davekim

Meat in the freezer. Booze kept outside where it is colder than the fridge at the moment.
Loose mushrooms!

Radical!

alwaysraining123 · 22/12/2020 22:46

I was expecting more pictures of fridges!

PickAChew · 22/12/2020 22:48

My kitchen is south facing and gets very warm. Fruit doesn't last very long out of the fridge.

And onions make you cry more, at room temperature.

CatholicKidston · 22/12/2020 22:49

We do go through a lot of dairy in this country don't we? My fridge is packed with milk, butter and cream and I see most here are the same. Pointless musings

donewithitalltodayandxmas · 22/12/2020 22:50

Looking at these ive finally figured how to put the drink holder thing in which is currently sat in a cupboard
I wont put a picture of mine in as currently only have some beer
Cheese , out of date hummus ( must chuck tomorrow ) half a punnet of grapes and some bacon
Sat here waiting for Iceland order that was due between 9-11 so guess its 11
At my parents xmas day so will be fed and bring home some lefyovers for boxing day and have meat in freezer and tesco express for some fresh bits as was planning to be there for 3 days so didn't book an xmas shop
Tesco del due 30.12 so we have food for new year though

CatholicKidston · 22/12/2020 22:51

@SantiagoSky

One shelf filled with Xmas dinner.

Well we know who's been out panic buying all the lettuce now! Xmas Wink

Wellthiswillhelp · 22/12/2020 22:51

If I had a proper fridge with proper space this wouldn't look so obscene. Proper tetris but then I have a large multi generational family living under one roof.

Show me your Christmas fridges!
Toototwo · 22/12/2020 22:51

Lol at the adverts I am getting on this thread- fridges at argos

PickAChew · 22/12/2020 22:54

@Smile3 my inner pedant is cringing at meat on the top shelf. Surely that's the warmest shelf of the fridge? Though I appreciate that it's the one in your fridge with space for the meat!

And while I'm being pedantic, fridge tetris is the art of stacking everything in the fridge so it fits, including all the awkward shaped things.

Fridge Jenga is the art of taking something out again, without the whole lot landing on your head :o

LookingAfterLittleArfur · 22/12/2020 22:58

Bumpsadaisie

‘Very polarised milk situation’ 😀

Skimmed milk for my coffee, fat milk for trifle and DH & DS’s hot chocolate.

Duggeehugs82 · 22/12/2020 22:59

I know this is slight derail but does anyone plan recycling jenga? Me and my husband play it all the time! Fridge jenga reminded me of it.

PickAChew · 22/12/2020 22:59

And mine has a fair bit of lactofree in it, too - a hidden stack of the soft cheese. I have a lot of sainsburys and M&S own brand lactose free milk, though. Slightly worried how this stuff with fair with brexit, as it's all imported milk. I don't drink a lot of milk and managed with normal milk in my one coffee of the day for a year or so, then menopause threw me back into lactose very intolerance.

You have written extensively telling us all, who are simply here to share some joy with others, how we are heartless and crass. So yes I feel you are a troll, my festive spirit does not extend as far as sugar coating that. If you bizarrely have an issue with people sharing images of their fridges, go away we all have a lot more enjoyment without you.

It’s Christmas, it’s been a terrible year so bring on more pictures of fridges please!
