Thread 25 - the one where WE GOT TO MAGIC THREAD 25!

Reastie · 05/12/2020 06:50

25th December is Christmas Day and for the first time ever we’ve hit 25 threads! My little challenge every year was will be make it magic number 25 and we’ve only gone and done it and still 20 days to go!

Thank you everyone for posting and sharing ideas and links, so many have been helped in what will be a very difficult Christmas for many, to be able to achieve a Christmas more bumper and less expensive than they had thought they could manage,

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

ShellyLou1234 · 06/12/2020 17:30

Christmascaker · 06/12/2020 17:41

Not quite a bargain but a friend told me about this...
www.nectar.com/c/sainsburys-spin-to-win
Minimum £5 worth of nectar points available if you sign in and spin!!

Lovemusic33 · 06/12/2020 17:41

Dd and I braved Debenhams, it was very busy, not many reductions, some toys and gifts had 40% of including some coding robots, mechanic arm building kits and solar car building kits. Managed to spend £61 on tat thanks to having dd with me.

Lemming20 · 06/12/2020 17:42

DH has now (after a mouse visit today) decided we need a eufy. Typical!

Is it the 15C I need and is Amazon the best place at £220 with a 15% voucher? I prefer to avoid Amazon if I can but needs must. Thank you!

WisestIsShe · 06/12/2020 17:57

Thanks@christmascaker. DH is nectar point mad!

Borris · 06/12/2020 17:58

Are there any deals for photo calendars please? I only need one

woodwaj · 06/12/2020 18:28

Thanks @Christmascaker grabbed myself an extra 2000 points!

JoHo123 · 06/12/2020 18:28

@BeaLola I bought the wrapping paper roll cutter that @Famousthehero mentioned last year. Absolute game changer! Ended up buying them for the whole family and most of the ladies in my office! I only paid a couple of quid on eBay though I bought them earlier in the year and they took a while to come. Search “wrapping paper sliding cutter”

22Giraffes · 06/12/2020 18:34

Cheers @christmascaker just won 2000 points Xmas Smile

prominent5 · 06/12/2020 18:35

@woodwaj Unidays do 15% off. I can pm you a code if you like?

TheCrow · 06/12/2020 18:39

Tried the nectar points game, didn't tell me if I'd won but when I refreshed the page it said I could only play once per day so might be worth trying it every day 🙂

NoWordForFluffy · 06/12/2020 18:40

I don't seem to be winning any Nectar points...what's going wrong?!

TheCrow · 06/12/2020 18:44

@nowordforfluffy mine didn't come up with any message to say I'd won anything either but t&C's say every participant gets 1000 points so hopefully they'll appear on the account at some point 🙂

NoWordForFluffy · 06/12/2020 18:46

Hopefully, @TheCrow. It just span, gave 3 random amounts, and that was that! 🤷‍♀️

TheCrow · 06/12/2020 18:48

@nowordforfluffy that's what mine did too!

HoHoHolyMackerel · 06/12/2020 18:49

I also won 2000 points, thanks so much!

HoHoHolyMackerel · 06/12/2020 18:50

Does anyone know if anymore argos vouchers may appear? I have a last minute request from my nephew and I'm annoyed I will have to pay full whack (thanks to this thread I want everything half price 🤣)
