I've just opened day 1 of my Holland and Barrett one, really lovely day moisturizer and dd has had a Lindt breakfast . What has everyone else got?

Ha - always nice when a poster's sole contribution to a Christmassy thread is to have a go .

Anyway, on a more positive kind note, my subsequent hunch that the Divine charity fairtrade advent calendar would follow the union jack flag with flags of other countries has been proven right - today was France!

Quite a relief that I have not inadvertently bought a UKIP calendar .

Still confused about why they have filled their calendar with flags of the world when on the back it says @reveal the traditional nativity Advent story day-by-day" - so the nativity story has travelled from the UK to France!!!

I have the Nivea one. Had body lotion yesterday and face wipes today - all very nice.
My DD has the Crayola one - as well as the stationery there is an activity for each day. Yesterday was a felt tip pen and a wordsearch and today a watercolour set and paint by numbers picture.
DS has the Pokemon one. Not sure what he had yesterday but it was Meowth. Just need to make some room to display them.
And finally DP has the Monty Bojangles one which is going down well.

nb tea. 2 flavoured teas so far, not teas I'd normally buy but interesting. Ding dong oolong with cinnamon yesterday and Rooibos Aloe and Honeydew today. Enjoyed yesterday's gong fu style, will brew today's normally.

DD said she didn't want an edible one this year (too fattening for a 22 year old 🙄 so I got the Yankee candle one but then she did a bottom lip quiver when I said ok no food 🤷‍♀️

Not started them yet as DD home tomorrow and DH is too bah humbug, so I'll bring them out when she is back

I always get her a beauty one for her to open Christmas Day - she loves this and I usually do the John Lewis one but this year I pushed the boat out and got Charlotte Tilbury

I've got the Plamil no added sugar vegan 'chocolate' one (they studiously avoid the word chocolate on the box').

The chocolate is genuinely delicious, so that's a plus. However, not only is there no picture inside, both the chocolates on the 1st and the 2nd were the same shape (a gingerbread man). I'm strangely disappointed - I feel I've been robbed of the usual 0.2 seconds of satisfaction and the chance to say 'ooh, it's a [insert Christmas related object here] today'

DD has a hot chocolate one and DH & DD's boyfriend are sharing a chili chocolate one

I am doing DD's advent dance classes which have sold pretty well - 24 mini dance class videos emailed one a day. Yesterday was part 1 of "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus" and I reckon exercise is better for me than chocolate!

DS has this year's lego city one. He's 13 but he loves lego anyway.
He also has a scented candle one which my slightly batty mother gave him. he's a bit nonplussed by it.

I have the Mr Holmes Advent Calendar, with a mini crime puzzle to solve each day.

Yesterday's puzzle was great, just hard enough to make me think for a while but solvable. Today's though was a bit left field as you didn't really get given sufficient information to solve it and the solution was a bit insane.

I got the Bonne Maman one for my DPs and DB. My DM sent me a lovely picture one - I didn't think to get my DS (19) one, or my DH hope they are not too disappointed!

I have a lot of tea faffing stuff. Photo of my gong fu tea set and my gaiwan (not used together, different ways of making gong fu tea. I also have a flute at work and that's what I used yesterday. Mei Leaf have good videos on gong fu brewing and that's where I bought my gaiwan and flute. I bought my teaset from Jing. I buy most of my tea from nbtea because she is usually cheaper and I like supporting small female ran businesses. Gong fu is basically putting a lot of tea in a small tea pot for a short amount of time and refilling the pot several times. It is only suitable for certain types of tea that can be reinfused and is more of a fangle than just putting tea in a teapot for 2-3 minutes but if you keep the water in a thermos flask it's not that much of a faff and it's interesting seeing how the tea changes over the different infusions.

I have the degusta food&drink one - had a pack of biscuits in day 1, some caramel pancake topping on day 2 and a bar of orange chocolate today

No kids here but DH and I always share a traditional picture one. Brings back memories of my childhood when me and 2 siblings used to fight over whose turn it was to open the door. My parents would never have thought of getting us one each!
