Which advent calendars has everyone started today?

I've just opened day 1 of my Holland and Barrett one, really lovely day moisturizer and dd has had a Lindt breakfast . What has everyone else got?

The kids got their traditional Hershey’s kiss in the advent house we use every year.

DH and I are sharing a gin calendar this year which we will crack open this evening.

Ive got look fantastic, nice make up item today and my mum as I’m staying with her has the lakrids by bulow liquorice calendar, she shared with me, it was salted caramel today

My dd has the Gibson jigsaw one it looks really good , day 1 is a London scene .

I'd be interested to see what you think if that one, I was tempted to get it for myself.

I can't have chocolate/food based ones & do NOT want the beauty/nail polish etc ones.

I wasn't too keen on the Lego one this year... couldn't find one I fancied so I'm doing without!

I’ve got the Playmobil Back to the Future calendar. Built Hill Valley clock and it goes with the Delorean set I have. Day 1 was Marty! Hugely exciting!

I have L'occitane- lip balm today

I've got the really big Body Shop one, I actually squealed today

I would have liked a l'occitane one
They're just to expensive though

I've got a Coppenrath musical advent box with discs for each day, this is the first year of many with it I hope.

Both teens have Lindt ones and got little bunnies today.

I have a crochet one and hotel chocolat for me, teen ds has a hotel chocolat one and dd has a swizzles sweets one.

I eat far too much chocolate as it is!

Bonne maman yummy jam on crumpets this morning and mid morning Lindt reindeer. Dd chose her favourite milky bar one but said it was gritty and has a 12 days of socks one which she is starting tomorrow and opening on alternate days

Oh and ddog had good boy chocolate one which he wasn't too sure what to do with the chocolate it was a bit big

I have a Cadbury’s whole nut/diary milk/caramel one, a bassets sweets one and due to a DP fuck up a haribo one. Tbh I don’t usually get one.

Montezuma 100% black chocolate, and Clipper herbal teas.

My trips have got their usual fabric calendars filled with chocs plus an extra one this year because, well 2020;

DD - Lego Friends
DS - Haribo
DS - Naked Marshmallow

I’ve got a traditional paper one and DP surprised me with a candle one this morning. All Very happy.

We find 1 each is not enough, they have 2 edible ones, 2 toy one and one other one eg bath and gels etc. Anyone who only buys their child one is taking away the joy of Christmas in my opinion

For DS’ second Christmas I bought a wooden advent calendar house with 24 little drawers. It’s so lovely, it makes me happy every time I get it out. He’s 4 now, so really excited about Christmas, so I put a little chocolate in the drawer as normal but I’ve also decided to put a little note with a Christmas activity on each day. Today was making paper chains, and he had so much fun! He loved them so much that I’ve just crept into his room to hang them up to surprise him in the morning.

I have morphed over the years with my daughter from a measly chocolate one to this year 2 chocolate ones and a beauty one for children. I go a bit overboard on the advent calendar sometimes 🤭

I got the look fantastic one off my children.

Nespresso one and Rituals village advent. Little candle today.

I've got a Licorice calendar and got delicious licorice in salt and caramel chocolate. Also a hotel Chocolat calendar. I've reused last year's whittard tea calendar and put in different loose teas and I share that with dd1 who loves tea. DD2 has a fancy Pokémon calendar with little figures. She was super pleased to get Eevie.

A Quality Street one each for me and 17 year old - yesterday was the purple one - and a Revolution Beauty one for them and a FM perfume one for me. It was lip gloss in the revolution one yesterday and no 827 in the perfume one - no idea what that smell is !
