They're all so beautiful! I usually wait until mid-December for the tree but I couldn't wait this year. I am trying to hurry 2020 out the door. I also finally decided to bin my 20 year old B&Q bargain bin tree and bought a pre-lit one. DS made a decoration out of an old Killers CD by writing on it "2020, the year of hell" with some holly sprigs.

Can't see the tv from where I sit, but nevermind, it's probably all repeats.

Kitchen tree finished. My favourite thing this year is the new tree skirt.

I’ll admit I got up in the middle of the night to put the blessed thing up and string the lights so the children could just do the fun decorating part. It was a lovely memory moment when they came down in the morning.

Lovely trees! I took today off to get my real one. The fake one has been up 2 weeks.

Hopefully a slightly better picture of ours. It’s such a mish mash of styles - we’ve recently moved and my official decorations scheme for this tree is down south with my daughters who will use that collection this year, so I’ve used every single other ornament I had stashed away. But I actually love how it’s turned out.

I’m looking forward to having a real one later in the month (decided I can’t do without it 🙂)!

@cheeseybeans19 where did you get your coloured lights? I can only seem to find ones with red, green, blue and white. Just not as nice!

I’ll happily post some photos of other decorations in the living room but I’ve got to do a bit of cleaning first...😉

A little more detail on the tree...the gold heart you can see on the 2nd photo is one of my favourite charity shop buys - a vintage (if early 90s can legitimately be called vintage) Georg Jensen ornament. I was so homesick that Christmas, and it felt like such a lovely gesture from the universe.🎄

Here's mine. It's a 20 year old artificial one. I throw everything at it randomly so long as it is roughly green, red or gold. I also have ornaments bought on my travels when I was working.

You are only getting my tree because seeing it with the tatty sofas and walls still not decorated from a rewire in February would ruin the magic!

My beloved tacky tree ❤️ last year I had a green tree and was trying to make it a bit more co-ordinated and stylish but that all went out the window this year 😂

I also got the 'white' tree from a charity shop and guessed it was pretty ancient when I pulled it out of the box and DD said 'wow mam, I've never seen a yellow tree before!' 😳😂
