It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Ds has informed me he wants a giant soft toy. If anyone has seen one which isn’t pink and is enormous, please let me

Many thanks

Peakedin1997 · 27/11/2020 13:48

"Why does my child want a shitting flamingo" would make an excellent thread title Grin

mummabear74 · 27/11/2020 13:53

@Christmascaker have you tried La Redoute for DMs?
www.laredoute.co.uk/brnd/dr-martens.aspx?brndid=dr-martens#srt=noSorting

WineandDine · 27/11/2020 13:55

Thanks so much for the Very new account codes. Just bagged some AirPods with the £50 off after trying until 12.45am last night with Aldi so very pleased!
If anyone else plans to do this, you just need to ensure value of basket is £150 then the code QYYFL will credit your account with £50.

Ktay · 27/11/2020 14:00

Not a regular on these threads so apologies if I inadvertently don’t follow the format!

I’ve bought my daughters the occasional Scrawlrbox artbox subscription and they emailed me with details of their Green Friday offer - they’ve discounted some old boxes to £5 - they reckon contents are worth £30.

Scrawlrbox

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 27/11/2020 14:01

@WisestIsShe I think a lot of people bought the aeropress from Neighbourhood Coffee - down to £30 with a free bag of coffee for Black Friday.

Tu Clothing has some Black Friday discounts here

No idea where our orders have got to then @Chunkychipsohyeah! Although I would be slightly less miffed if Rocket & Rose actually responded to their emails Hmm

IndoorLiving · 27/11/2020 14:05

@BalaamsAss some shops do Cotswold end of line / seconds for a good discount. This one does delivery I think and I can vouch they are genuine - forthehomeoutlet.co.uk/ - guess it depends on whether they have what you are looking for

weebarra · 27/11/2020 14:10

50% off IWOOT telescope with NASA50 - if you combine with cheap board game you can also get free delivery. Takes it to £24.99.

LittleSquirrels · 27/11/2020 14:12

Does anyone know if there is a code for free delivery at LANDS' END? Thanks all

torthecatlady · 27/11/2020 14:12

Is there a free delivery code I can use on the landsend website? They have a pair of slippers on there that Dh has asked for but I begrudge paying for delivery Blush

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 27/11/2020 14:12

@Turnedouttoes I was also hoping for discounts on the Hotel Chocolat vodka and cocoa gin! They only have 5 products in the Black Friday sale, one of them includes the liqueurs but not the vodka or gin Sad they do still have 20% off some of the mini hampers though.

Code FREEDEL30 seems to still work but I'm gutted I missed the Merry Christmas collection offer!

IggyAce · 27/11/2020 14:18

@BarbiesWorld for baby how about a nice board book, that’s not my are nice.
Some bath toys.
Stacking cups or blocks.
How about a few everyday bits that would be useful eg new feeding spoons, baby bath, a festive bib.

ZIGGY911 · 27/11/2020 14:22

@GoblinDaughter

Why does my child want a shitting flamingo?! Please tell me I’m not going to have to pay £33 for it?! Hmm
This has got to be a contender for a thread title 😂😂
IggyAce · 27/11/2020 14:27

That shitting flamingo is hideous and yes it should make the next thread title. @Reastie

imnottoofussed · 27/11/2020 14:30

Urgh Aldi just emailed to say they can't get stock of the barbie remote control car I ordered in special buy on Sunday. Why let me bloody order it then Angry

flumposie · 27/11/2020 14:31

Just had an email from Aldi to say due to an error they cant send me my hot chocolate maker in the colour of my choice, so I'm getting the copper one instead. I can live with that! My heart sank because I thought they were saying I wasn't getting one at all and I've already got loads of chocolate flakes Grin

IggyAce · 27/11/2020 14:34

Omg I just watched a video of the shitting flamingo it is even more hideous in action. A totally useless thing that will provide 5 minutes of fun before it’s tossed aside.

TheCrow · 27/11/2020 14:39

I keep seeing the advert for the shitting flamingo and I'm sick of the sight of the bloody thing, massive sympathy to anyone who ends up with one this Christmas!

LikeSilver · 27/11/2020 14:42

Has this been mentioned? *Half price gift vouchers at Cutter & Squidge. You order e-gift vouchers and then can use them immediately on cakes/cookies/brownies/biskies for gifts/yourself. Some things are London only but most things are nationwide delivery on a date of your choice.

You can’t pay for postage with a gift voucher though, so take that into account if you’re ordering. I paid £6 postage.

PinkJam · 27/11/2020 14:42

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl thanks for letting me know Smile Shame they aren’t doing the free delivery like previous years, but pleased that their business is doing well.

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 27/11/2020 14:46

Good grief, I just watched the advert for the shitting flamingo, that's possibly the worst toy ever, even worse than doggie doo doo. As a (not) bonus I now have the "uh oh gotta go" song form the advert stuck in my head.

InDreamland · 27/11/2020 14:55

@BarbiesWorld DD will be 10 months at Christmas too. For her stocking I've got her a Doidy Cup, couple of That's Not My books, The Snowman DVD, Twas the night before Christmas book, and I will get her a toothbrush and toothpaste for when she finally gets teeth. I'll probably get her a few more bits like a packet of Melty Sticks and tub of vaseline.
