Thanks to @friskybivalves for the title

I think we might actually make it to 25 threads!!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Does anyone have an at home beer tap? Thinking about getting one for DH but they are quite expensive so wondering if they are worth the money?
Might make not being able to go to the pub over the festive period a little less painful Halloween Wink

@mrsdaz

Has anyone found any decent ear buds that are not the real iPhone ones? Looking for some under £30 - Amazon reviews don't correspond to the items they are selling so I'm cautious to buy some from there incase they are rubbish!
I'd be interested in this too with the added specification from DD that they must be whiteShock

Thanks to the posters who helped with my queries about Books2Door and the milk frothers. Book order placed and has been dispatched. I managed to get free delivery by creating an account and signing up to the newsletter/ following on twitter. There is a referral if anyone wants to PM me, gets you £5 off a £30 spend I think.

Also finally got round to opening some parcels that arrived in the last week and am delighted with the Vodafone popcorn offer. Thanks again NoWordForFluffy for all the help with the code x

Iggi999 · 24/11/2020 12:21

PLEASE HELP I've got an order going through on Amazon, lots of different things that are showing for delivery 30th Nov which is fine, but one thing (and of course it's the most important thing) is saying "Order now and we'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item" Am I likely to get this before Christmas?? I'm wary of paying now and then finding out it's not going to arrive for ages.

Theimpossiblegirl · 24/11/2020 12:39

@Tearsofthemushroom
There are some good deals at Topshop and River Island. You may be able to get a student code or other discount to further reduce prices.

livingthegoodlife · 24/11/2020 12:39

For anyone with velvetiser or Aldi version, I've just made a hot choc with the m&s 70% cocoa flakes £4 and it was amazing. So tasty and over half the price of hotel Chocolat. Highly recommend! Comes in a cute Christmas box if you're gifting it too.

thelegohooverer · 24/11/2020 12:44

@LifeInAHamsterWheel can you see where that item is shipping from? Look for the line “dispatched and sold by” and click the name. It should bring up the address. If it’s from China, at this time of the year, I wouldn’t risk it.

Scout2016 · 24/11/2020 12:46

@AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings another vote for Beer Hawk. Used a lot over the years and bern great.

IggyAce · 24/11/2020 12:47

PinkJam · 24/11/2020 12:57

Has anyone seen a small purple Christmas tree in any shops or websites? Don’t want to pay more than £15.

Or if not, any multipacks of small purple baubles?

Lockdownlumpy · 24/11/2020 13:02

I'm doing so badly. Was going to buy DD the giant unicorn from large asda nearby.
Eldest's class were sent home from school to quarantine, so couldn't go to asda. Unicorn now OOS online and my nearest 6 stores Sad. Giant unicorn is literally the only thing on her list.

OH birthday next week, had presents planned from localish independent shop, I now cannot go to it because a) closed this weekend due to lockdown and b) when it reopens next week I have quarantiney child at home.
Eldest is actually more or less sorted but that wasn't so hard because its basically a lego fest.
And now I'm supposed to be live homeschooling with eldest most of the day which is severely curtailing my online shopping availability.

Dolphintrainer · 24/11/2020 13:02

Tearsofthemushroom Champion would be good for that age. My DS is almost 18 and still wears Champion. It used to be a shite brand back in my day but now it’s a desirable mid brand. Champion is sold in many places, Amazon have good prices sometimes too.

or this?

BlueSkies2020 · 24/11/2020 13:13

Portmerion have got 30% off a lot of their Christmas table ware designs again this year. I remember a few on this thread stocking up on them last year. They have the classic Christmas tree, holly and ivy- plus Sara Miller’s gorgeous pine trees collection.

I haven’t price checked other sites.

I will probably add another couple of items to my collection.

Sitting biting my nails while clicking "refresh" repeatedly on the currys website - no sign of any new xbox series s stocks Sad

unkindnessofravens · 24/11/2020 13:21

No Switches at my local Tesco. Are their any tips for the best time to get one? I assume they go quickly once in stock. Thinking maybe an early morning trip at store opening tomorrow might be an option?

dramalamma · 24/11/2020 13:28

Thanks so much for the tesco switch tip - got mine this morning - now looking for games. Any ideas for ones that can be played with four players at once? I'm very new to consoles!!

Also in tesco they had a big Lego Ninjago set (Lloyds Titan mech) for £32.50 - currently on Amazon at £59.99 so that's a great bargain for DS2 - great for most 7-10 year old boys id say.
