please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

DP drives a lot for work so gets points when filling up. I think most of mine come through eBay though as I rarely shop for groceries at Sainsburys and had £70 worth of points. I’ve spent loads on eBay this year. I was really happy with the double up, I got £105 worth of toys for DC for £5.

Help - am I doing something wrong with QVC - tried to use a referral code but it's not showing any discount before the final "click to pay" - looks like the Hotel Chocolat is now an Advanced Order. Does that mean I missed the current stock?
Or does the £10 come off when I click to pay?

@Grytviken

A poster on the previous thread mentioned fake oodies in Costco, so I popped in and bought one today, it was £12.49 and is beautiful quality, very thick and plush, sadly too big for my tall 6 year old and not big enough for me, I am a size 16 and although it fit fine around the body it was short and tight on the sleeves, would be perfect for older children and teens though! PM me for Boden £10 off a £30 spend valid until 21/11/20

Boden voucher has been taken now.

I second the recommendation for Fleurtations for Jellycat, ordered one and was really happy with the price and the service.

If anyone can help with this most random request I would be most grateful! I am looking for the Enola Holmes series of books for dd, but specifically the beautifully illustrated ones by Serena Blasco. Most places don't stock it anymore, and Amazon only have the French and Spanish versions Sad I like a challenge but I'm not getting anywhere!

Re Fleurations I have had awful service from them recently and had to go via PayPal for a refund. I placed an order on 1.11.20, when I asked when I should expect it on 9.11.20 I was told it wasn’t going to be back in stock until 24.11.20 but I could have it in an alternative colour. I accepted this abs requested that the alterntwas sent our quickly as it is for a birthday this weekend - they didn’t respond! I then found the item for the same price on John Lewis so asked for a refund. Still no response and order hadn’t been posted. Filed a PayPal dispute and got refund this morning. Ordered from JL click and collect so I’ll have the toy in time! (Sorry want an essay) Blush

@Chocolateteabag you may not be able to use it on advanced orders. I know that existing customers can't use their £10 off codes for referring others on advanced orders or waitlist items

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'm looking for a bargainous gift x 6. They're all boys - 2, 2, 3, 4, 4 & 6 and I'm looking to spend between £5-10 each. Any suggestions? Online or in store both an option

On the lookout for a couple of the Chillfactor slushie cup’s. I recall them being a bargain on these threads a few years back but typically my two were not interested then!

Kudd.ly blanket have got a sale on their hooded blankets 29.99.
Think it might only be certain colours.
Ive got one of the weighted blankets and the quality is good for the price, cant testify to the hooded ones.

I ordered the chocolate shaker today, I read few good reviews which said it was better than the velvetiser, which I was dithering over as the price was insane , shaker much better for 12 year old dd anyway I think and you can put it in the dishwasher.

You heat milk first then put in and mix with chocolate . Shake! Then pour .

Can anybody recommend somewhere for chocolate houses you decorate yourself,or that sort of thing. Was going to use Choco Loco but they are sold out and shut at the moment.

Re Nectar points:

  1. Sign up for the weekly bonus points on things you buy often. The most I've had is about £7 in one shop in bonus points;
  2. Consider their home / life / car / pet insurance - for each type of insurance you get your shopping points again per month (we have 3 products, so get 4 x points when we shop); and
  3. Link on eBay and at Argos. Check for whatever you're buying online (e.g. if you have a voucher code so TCB / Quidco won't pay out, look at Nectar as they award points on many brands that also award cash back elsewhere);
  4. If you do sign up for insurance, there's often bonus points, such as £30 for car or home etc. Check for a code (usually MOTOR30 or HOME30).

We would've had over £400 in points if I hadn't been spending them on a regular basis. We started 2020 with £20.00.

@BalaamsAss

Very disappointed with Sainsburys Double Up - again. Last year was an absolute shambles which took several hours (no exaggeration) in store to resolve and very little to choose from.

This year wasn’t much better. Hardly anything to choose from other than clothes I guess. I swear they actually took gifting, entertainment and homeware stuff off the shelves so people wouldn’t buy them on vouchers because there was less than normal. Clothing section was overloaded with stuff though.

Not only that but we had till glitches (again) and it took about 20min to get someone to work out they had to manually override the 1p difference between the cost of what we were buying and the total of the voucher.

Between last year and this year I don’t think I’d bother again, and certainly wouldn’t be worrying about being faithful to Sainsburys in an attempt to build up points. In the past we have done really well out of double up, but not recently

I've never had any issues at all. They're quite clear what's included in the Ts&Cs and it hasn't reduced this year.

I think it's quite comprehensive (I got clothes, an iron and kettle, printer ink, wellies and booze; quite a variety).
