please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Random bargain seen in Sainsburys
duvets reduced.....15 tog king size down from £31, to £15 then down to £7.50 which works out even better if points used. Single were £5.75 and double somewhere in between!

TheGirlWhoLived · 12/11/2020 18:56

Thanks so much for the jellycat tip from John Lewis Flowers

thelegohooverer · 12/11/2020 18:59

Not exactly a bargain but poundland have white chocolate coins if anyone is looking.

sorryiasked · 12/11/2020 19:06

Some fab beano items on the official website including adult and kids tshirts

Sneezein3s · 12/11/2020 19:15

@TheGirlWhoLived you’re welcome glad you found it amongst my rant!

Hotukdeals are reporting some epic Black Friday deals in Aldi. Not sure how legit a report it is as nothing is showing on the Aldi website and some of them seem too good to be true but for the sake of bargain hunting....

• Nintendo Switch, £229.99, RRP £279.99 - save 18%
• Nintendo Switch starter kit, £7.99
• Refurbished iPhone 8, £199.99, RRP £339 - save 41%
• Apple Airpods, £89.99, RRP £159 - save 50%
• Fitness Watch, £19.99
• Vacuum Beard and Stubble Trimmer, £29.99
• Lego Millennium Falcon Set, £49.99, RRP: £150, - save 67%

sorryiasked · 12/11/2020 19:17

@22Giraffes I know it's not quite the same, but you can get graphic ebooks of those editions from comixology maybe a last resort?

@Bottl

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'm looking for a bargainous gift x 6. They're all boys - 2, 2, 3, 4, 4 & 6 and I'm looking to spend between £5-10 each. Any suggestions? Online or in store both an option
The same gift for all 6 boys?
Lovemusic33 · 12/11/2020 19:20

Marking my place

I’m not going to join in with the Kevin carrot craziness this year, we still have a giant Kevin the carrot that takes up half the house from 2 years ago.

It would be amazing if these deals were true however, Apple etc don’t need to discount because they will always sell. Can’t see why they’d do such big reductions. I am looking for airpods though!
22Giraffes · 12/11/2020 19:27

@balaamsAss thank you but they all seem to be the Spanish versions.
@sorryiasked interesting thank you, at the risk of sounding stupid would she need a kindle to read it? Or does it just open up on the website browser/app when you buy it? No worries if you don't know of course! Smile

handmademitlove · 12/11/2020 19:39

@WisestIsShe and @MsMiaWallace thank you both! that saves me waiting up at midnight :-)

Bottl · 12/11/2020 19:40

Kind of, yes.

I have randomly come across these Robot Hands. Reduced + 10% off = £4.05. Will be great for the 4 bigger ones and I'm going to look for a book each for the 2yr olds.

Bottl · 12/11/2020 19:41

Sorry, the quote disappeared, my last post was for @luckiestgirl

scrappydappydoo · 12/11/2020 19:42

Yes I know - I think the apple and Lego products are a bit Hmm but there is a tiny bit of my brain going ‘maybe??’ We’ll see...

Rockhopper81 · 12/11/2020 19:47

I would be gobsmacked is Aldi had those reductions - Apple rarely discount (and then it's only a token amount) and the Lego Millennium Falcon is sold out on the Lego store online (and it would be highly unlikely to ever be reduced that much as Star Wars kits are highly collectible). I am prepared to be gobsmacked, but I think it's highly, highly unlikely.

Also, now I want Jellycat Amuseables. For me. This is not the point of this thread and I must resist...maybe...

thelegohooverer · 12/11/2020 19:53

If anyone ordered an advent calendar from Lookfantastic could you tell me how long it took from dispatch to delivery? Finally got a dispatch notice today with an estimated delivery date of 2-3 Dec Hmm and I still need to post it on after that. I’m really hoping that it will come sooner, but feeling very unimpressed.

Chrysanthemum5 · 12/11/2020 19:58

@thelegohooverer I ordered it when it came out and it just arrived last week. They also emailed me because they said my address didn't exist Hmmbut before I could reply it arrived. So probably took about 6 weeks to get here

TheLastStarfighter · 12/11/2020 20:04

Thanks all for the Nectar tips. I rather stupidly assumed that as a loyalty scheme it would just reward loyalty. I’ll need to be more proactive with it next year.

Those Aldi deals definitely look too good to be true! I’d love a Lego millennium falcon, a Switch and some AirPods though!

TheLastStarfighter · 12/11/2020 20:07

It looks like Aldi Black Friday is now being widely reported. I’ll bet they have very limited stocks.

XmasLockdown · 12/11/2020 20:13

That millenium falcon in Aldi looks tempting but we already have the massive one. Other than that nothing for me. I wonder if it's going to happen.

WineandDine · 12/11/2020 20:17

Seems it could be legit?

Independent Black Friday article

Hands up who’s setting an alarm for 00.01 on Black Friday then Grin

sorryiasked · 12/11/2020 20:25

@22Giraffes I think you can either download and read in their app or some books have a download option which I think are .pdf - but not 100%

Someaddedsugar · 12/11/2020 20:31

For anyone buying from Cox & Cox they have 25% off and free delivery over on the Joules site as part of the Friends of Joules promo

22Giraffes · 12/11/2020 20:34

@sorryiasked great thats really useful and definitely an option for me to look into furthur
