I still have no idea if that’s a typo, euphemism or actual shop
@XFPW 😬

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue
@Mumto3thatsme Can you please point me in the right direction to the kukubird version of the oodies? I had a look and I can't see them!
Disclaimer...I’ve not looked at oldies so can’t say they’re exactly like them, but thought they might be along the same lines

beanbag

TheCrow · 02/11/2020 20:48

@thaegumathteth if you search redbubble, eBay and Etsy you can usually find merch at less eye-watering prices than getting it direct. I'm having the same issue but luckily my DD loves Ssundee and DanTDM and they have a range of figures and plushes that you can pick up on eBay pretty cheap second hand.

Mumto3thatsme · 02/11/2020 20:53

@CaramelCandle

Not sure if it's been posted already but Very are doing 20% off with code Q4RLY. Works on discounted items too.
Didn’t work for me 😭

@Jedstre we bought two last year after A LOT of research.

We eventually went for two ICON ones and we are delighted with them. We went for the Kenai Wolf Grey one and the Cream one. They still look great nearly a year on.

We eventually bought from Amazon as they were the best option at the time, but they are available on various websites. We paid £89 for each of them.

We have topped them up with refill beans once (after about 8mths) using approx 5 cubic feet of beans to top both bags up. They didn’t strictly need topped up but I’m fussy and wanted them really big and full. I’d say they’d probably need topped up once a year though.

We previously had a lovesac super sac when we lived in the US and miss it A LOT! We did debate buying a bag filled with foam rather than beans but the cost wasn’t worth it for our 9 year olds. If we had been buying for ourselves then we probably would have gone for foam-filled. (Our lovesac was amazing and never lost its fullness even a little in the 3 years we had it.)

For a bean bag though I would definitely recommend the ICON bags. Our must-haves last year were large and very fluffy, but not cheap looking or feeling. We’re happy with the ICON ones.

suneetime · 02/11/2020 21:04

Quidco are doing 25% cash back at Whittard up to midnight and it’s free delivery for orders over £20 until Christmas. I’ve just put my referral code on the other thread for an extra 15% off

CoffeeAndEnnui · 02/11/2020 21:29

Do any of you magical bargain finders have a courier firm recommendation to send something large (around a metre by 80cm, I think, but bulky), fragile-ish and super-duper precious (not valuable but would struggle to replace), please??? Ideally, at a price that will not wipe out all the savings I have made being on here!

EvilHerbivore · 02/11/2020 21:30

Does anyone know if primark have their kids Christmas pjs out? Don't know if to nip in before it shuts or wait til it (hopefully opens again in December)

IggyAce · 02/11/2020 21:34

@EverybodyKeepCool thanks for the link, forwarded it to DH so I can look forward to enjoying some gin for Christmas.

QVCismyJam · 02/11/2020 21:36

Thank you so much @RaggieDolls, @Puffalicious , @TheLastStarfighter, @Baileyscoffeeandcampfires, @Sunshineskies, and @Dolphintrainer for your posted suggestions and ideas for DS. Baileyscoffeeandcampfires will send out good vibes to the cosmos for a more settled future for your OH and Sunshineskies I feel better that I'm not alone in worrying about sorting my teen out, good luck, if I spot anything will post for you. Dolphintrainer brilliant list thxs Smile. After the awful day, it's made me a bit teary (but in a good way) all your kindness is really appreciated I was in a flat spin but feel better from reading your posts and giving myself a strong talking to (oh and the glass of wine helped lol). Such a kind corner this Xmas bargain thread, elsewhere on MN I may have been cut down for worrying about something like xmas presents - I just dont want to let him down he deserves so much after such a rubbish year. Thxs again. QVC

That is a good gin offer. Not that I'm a sheep or anything.

My Hygge bands arrived this morning. They look nice, but my mystery band was a more manly design than I'd hoped for. I might give it to my BIL rather than keeping it for myself (but for £2.99 I can't really be disappointed!).

Jedstre · 02/11/2020 22:21

Thanks @Rubyroo73 and @XFPW. The icon one looks particularly sumptuous. It looks like they’re over £100.

@EvilHerbivore I popped into Primark today. It was busy but not too crazy and I got Christmas PJs for me and the kids.

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 02/11/2020 22:22

I don't think this has been shared yet sorry I can't figure out the short links!

Another slightly bemused penhaligons customer opening a box with only hand wash, no perfume. Interestingly they didn't send me a dispatch e mail for it. Bit of a pain having to chase it up.
