I still have no idea if that’s a typo, euphemism or actual shop
@XFPW 😬

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Has anyone recieved their Christmas edition of good housekeeping yet?

Also, the olive body shop shower gel, is this suitable for men does anyone know? DH keeps km he likes my body shop stuff but I don't know what they all smell like!

Elphaba17 · 02/11/2020 18:15

The Thomas super station posted earlier is unfortunately not in stockat any stores near me.

But i did find this Thomas trackmaster talking Thomas and Percy set down to £36.50 on Amazon. Same price on Argos though I suspect this price will change tomorrow as Thomas toys are the weekly toy offer at Argos.

Hello, I had the five pound off at smiggle but it was a one time code that has already gone sorry.

Trumpton · 02/11/2020 18:22

@Asj0405

I have a £5 voucher off full price items for smiggle that I won't use if anyone would like it? No minimum spend as far as I can see.

Ah ok, thank you though. At least I wasn't imagining it! I think I need to stick to online shopping in the evenings when the kids are in bed, as they don't appreciate my need for absolute quiet to concentrate whilst I search for random codes and offers lol
Elphaba17 · 02/11/2020 18:30

Thank you trumpton, I will send a message to double check before ordering.

Firsttimeposter121 · 02/11/2020 18:31

Does anyone remember the curry subscription service from a few years back and can point me in their direction pls?

IggyAce · 02/11/2020 18:35

@Firsttimeposter121 could it be the Spicery. I can pm you a referral code if needed.

TheDrsDocMartens · 02/11/2020 18:37

Anyone remember where the bbc good food magazine /Mary Berry book deal was?

starlight36 · 02/11/2020 18:41

@GymSloth

Can anyone help with the Lego Boost please? I'm sure I saw it mentioned on these threads last year. I didn't take that much notice then, but now I'm considering it for my 9 year old. I'm wondering what those who already have it think of it. Also is it likely to be in the Black Friday sale?
We got the LEGO Boost for DD last Black Friday. They were reduced to £99 both at Amazon and John Lewis. We also had to buy a new Fire Tablet as our old one wasn't compatible (check out the LEGO website for full requirements). DD loves hers.

Did anyone order the cheap Christmas tree hanging decorations of the 2020 family (the ones with the toilet roll) on Amazon and get them? I had two orders in but none have shown up so Amazon are going to refund. Just wondering if any did arrive?

Haven’t read through yet so not sure if everyone already knows that Kukubird are now doing blanket sweatshirts, might be good for those looking for ooudies but can’t justify the price tag.
These are £35 each

I'm not caught up yet so apologise if this has already been already posted but someone was looking for that's not my... book and toy sets. B&M had unicorn or reindeer sets for £6.99.

Also if anyone, like me, had has no joy getting hold of the hot chocolate snowmen in Aldi* I sae B&M had hot chocolate teddy bears for £2. Not as festive as a snowman but an option if Aldi continue to be out of stock. Or Card Factory has got chocolate snowmen for £1.49* although these ones didn't have marshmallows in and they seemed to only have them in white chocolate.

GymSloth · 02/11/2020 18:58

mrsdavegrohl thanks for the info about Lego WeDo. I'd never heard of it before but it looks really good. Currently £170 on amazon, so if you got it for about 100 last year you did really well!

starlight36 Thanks for your help. Looks like I need to wait until Black Friday and hope that I can get a good deal! Think I need to read up on both sets and work out which would be best.

I'm sure this must have been posted before, but for anyone who hasn't seen it I noticed that Amazon are offering 15% off if you create a kids wish list.

Puffalicious · 02/11/2020 19:05

mummabear I thought I might do that! Good idea.

Asj0405 · 02/11/2020 19:06

No, I forgot about them!
Puffalicious · 02/11/2020 19:12

mummyof2boys yup, we just need to adjust our expectations, but it's hard when you want everyone to have a lovely, Christmas morning.Hmm

Raggiedoll It'll help that his brothers are teens and their present pile is smaller due to the nature of their gifts too. Your DC will have known you were working hard, so don't worry x

AndddddHerewegoagain · 02/11/2020 19:14

Has anyone else got a matalan code please. I keep missing them Blush

Thanks!

Sorry to ask when everyone is busy getting sorted as well as last minute items by real life shopping before lock down again.

Cd I ask for suggestions please if any one has ideas? Only have been just been hit by redundancy suddenly in our house and my mind has stalled thinking only of the future and job hunting. Hv luckily got most presents sorted (thxs to this thread and bargain sites) but I'm stuck for DS who is 16. I'm grateful I got him his main present months ago but I feel awful that everyone else has a cracking selection and I'm now budgeting like crazy and honestly cant think what to bulk out his main pressie with some small items that wont cost the earth? He's into anime and gaming and socialising with his friends but due to lockdown cant get like gift cards for Costas and other places I had planned. My mind has gone blank esp as I will have to sort out online shopping for him now. I remember someone recommended a place I think it was called the yellow geek or something? He's such a good lad doubt he will mind its the Mum mode in me thats worrying. Off to have a cuppa and give my head a wobble for worrying about it. A ramble message sorry.
