I still have no idea if that’s a typo, euphemism or actual shop
@XFPW 😬

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

BBC news app says Boris is considering another month long lock down. I've got a number of things I was waiting for Black Friday to drop in price and now I don't know whether to just jump and get them now (just in case the month long lock down drags on for longer). What are your thoughts people. Should I hold out for bargains and risk not having DS main present?

MrsHaveLock · 31/10/2020 10:08

The Next hooded blankets for kids are finally in stock. They have various sizes so not exactly like the oodies.

I'm worrying about what more online shoppers will do to delivery times & stock levels. I think if it's just non essential shops to close, then online should still continue as it did so Black Friday deals should go ahead as normal. Can't help thinking about Next and them closing in the last lockdown so really unsure.

I need things like stocking fillers, wrapping paper etc. A little concerned about what to do about the wrapping paper!

CoffeeAndCake3 · 31/10/2020 10:11

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. I have two nearish and I have done about 15 round trips 😂 it would've been cheaper for me to buy one of the extortionate listed ones on ebay

CoffeeAndCake3 · 31/10/2020 10:20

Thanks @Shitfuckoh. Going to be tricky going into a lockdown to get these little bits Hmm

Offer leaflet in with my good housekeeping today so don't think it is specific in any way

Brashopper · 31/10/2020 10:21

Superdrug have reduced several of their Advent Calendars to half price.

Free delivery over £15, a couple are order and collect only.

@thelegohooverer

Dd is looking for a Luna Lovegood doll and funko pops. Has anyone seen any good deals?
Is it just me or does Luna Lovegood sound like a "toy" you'd buy from Lovehoney or Ann Summers?
Emma10702 · 31/10/2020 10:34

I’ve been worrying about whether to hold out for Black Friday as my dd wants an iPad. I looked at availability and delivery times and it’s up to 4 weeks at some places so I decided not to risk it as she’s asked for a specific colour that seems to sell out.
I also legged it to the card factory first thing for wrapping paper and gift bags. Nobody else was panic buying Xmas wrapping paper! I have a lot to do though so it will be my lockdown project.

Emma10702 · 31/10/2020 10:35

I think places like b&m/home bargains will stay open as they did last time so they will be good for stocking fillers and wrapping paper

Shitfuckoh · 31/10/2020 10:38

@CoffeeAndCake3
I know Sad I don't drive & in Tier 2 where Public transport is 'essential only'. Based on what friends have said, it's impacted bus times etc. I've followed the essential only & didn't think little stocking fillers were classed as essential! Now wondering if I should just be keeping an eye online & adding things like chocolate coins to my ASDA online shop... Best part of Christmas shopping for me is a couple of hours looking round the shops for fillers. Didn't think it would be the same this year but if non essential closes until December there's going to be a mad busy rush when they do reopen!

For the foodies in your life, or just Nigella fans Wink, the new Nigella Lawson book has just been released and is half price on Amazon.

TheLastStarfighter · 31/10/2020 10:47

Thanks @IggyAce Mrs Snowballs looks great! Are they the same kind of size as the lush ones?

Fridgeandkitchen · 31/10/2020 10:49

@Emma10702

I think places like b&m/home bargains will stay open as they did last time so they will be good for stocking fillers and wrapping paper
Hopefully however, looking at what they’ve done in Wales, they may well close off the non essential sections of the stores.
TheLastStarfighter · 31/10/2020 10:56

Thanks @SayNoToCarrots and @SharonMack17. I have now ordered a mixture of Hygge Bands using the TREAT20 5 for £15. I got some regular ones as presents, one of the stretchier ones for me to use as intended, and a winter one to use just as a scarf.

In case it’s helpful for anyone, although the winter bands are technically part of the 5 for £15 deal, the discount still gets applied so you just pay the difference I.e. 4 regular and one winter comes in at £18.10 rather than £15.

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 31/10/2020 11:03

Has anyone bought a 3D pen that they'd recommend for a 7yo?

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 31/10/2020 11:12

I posted some Lakeland codes yesterday. Not sure if they've all gone. I'll add the photo again, just in case.

Some end today!

Ticket to ride £18.49 on Amazon

TheLastStarfighter · 31/10/2020 11:28

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts we have had the Polaroid one for a few years now, since the kids were about that age. It’s really easy to use and has been used consistently by them.

IggyAce · 31/10/2020 11:28

@TheLastStarfighter they are a mix of sizes but definitely similar sizes to the lush ones and some are quite big and a few of them are available in 2 sizes depending on what’s in stock.
