Evening!

New thread here. Probably not needed until tomorrow, but it's ready and waiting.

Don't forget: Booths' Christmas ordering goes live tomorrow, so food porn will be online to view!

Boots, get your Cumberland PiB ordered!

The more I think about the game the more annoyed I get Angry

What switch games are you getting Fluffy, Animal crossing and Mario kart are our go to Grin

Going to do a chilli in the slow cooker soon for after work, that will last me a few days as I'm the only one who eats it, hope everyone is ok.

fluffy It's ok, I'm looking at Lakeside Grin I just disappeared down the "Ooh, I need that, and that, and that..." rabbit hole for a while (at 5am)

Cauli, we're going to get Minecraft as DD is really wanting to play it. Plus there's a Lego Marvel heroes one which DS should enjoy. I'm hoping to get them during Double Up, if possible. But the Sainsbury's I was in yesterday wasn't very well stocked. I'll have to travel round maybe!

Those sites are dangerous, Boots!

fluffy I can check here and post it? Going to Sains first thing on Tues (you will need to talk me through the double up thing - but there's over £100 on my Nectar cardHalo). I watched "click" on BBC and think DH might like Forza but I think it's not on PS? I'm a technophobe so that could be expensive too 🤦🏻‍♀️😳

NoWordForFluffy · 18/10/2020 13:21

Ah, thank you! Double Up is next month at some point (11-17, I think). If you can check your store's general stock of Switch games it would be useful. I don't mind a little travelling for free stuff. It won't be £50 in fuel!

Fluffy I can check our Sainsbury's and the one in Harborough too if you want.

Boots I think Forza is only on Xbox. DS has Crew2 on PS. He says it's not as good as Forza but it's a step up from MarioKart.

I spent yesterday doing bits for the freezer. Bags of prepped veg and soup mixes plus two bags of goose fat roasties.

Afternoon.

Had a wee trip to the beach. It was a lovely morning.

Having a roast beef lunch now.

The chicken I think was from KFC or some other chicken shop. It was all bonnets that must have been pushed down from the top.

Woolly I can easily see me buying a new Xbox for him (he's been as PS man so far) I love the rallycross bit - I think it was the Dirt game? He only has F1, Baseball or Golf and won't let me buy anything else Forza looks fab, is that on PS or only on Xbox? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Nero At least it didn't have feathers Grin
Your day sounds fab - beach and roast beef dinner - I'm jealous Grin
The only chance I've got of footstepsinthesand is if I go to B&Q and buy a sack! 😭

Boots, sounds like you'll need to use your points to pay for your DH's gaming stuff!

I'm happy to give willing volunteers my Nectar log in for the app if they find the required games during Double Up, assuming a smart phone is available for use. There's a card in the app for scanning at the till and you can convert points into the vouchers there and then!

Thank you all for offering to look! ❤️❤️

I did loads of digging today. I'm trying to stay awake in the bath!

Evening. I had the worst headache this morning, was all shaky and felt sick luckily I managed to catch it just in time or I'd have had to sleep it off.

Lunch was lovely i did pie (shop bought) with roast potatoes, mashed swede, green beans, carrots and red cabbage.

Also I saw this on the H&M website. Does it remind you of anyone HmmGrin I might have to get it!

I'm ok, it started coming back at about 5:30pm but has gone now. I almost messaged my step dad earlier to say he would have to cook lunch Grin I'm having an early night though as I don't want to risk it coming back.

Ds loved the red cabbage we had, it was ready made, I can never make it taste that good when I make it myself.

Hi. Hope everyone's had a nice day and Wreck I hope you're feeling better.

I'm so clumsy, I went flying on a dog walk today. Somehow my feet went forward and landed hard on my arse. Very embarrassing and now I have a bruised bum so I'm quite uncomfortable Blush

The up side of that is DH has taken pity on me all day, cooked dinner (sausage, mash, veg and onion gravy) and done some housework.
I've sat awkwardly on the bed and finished one of the Christmas presents (a cushion).

I finished mum's scarf today. Only had to unravel it four times. 🤣 I have started on my dad's now and if I finish it in plenty of time I plan to put pom poms on mum's (ever optimistic me).

Morning!

I think I nigh-on died when I went to sleep as I've just woken up in the same position almost 8 hours later! My 2 hour walk on Sat and loads of digging yesterday clearly finished me off!

Crazy, you don't have much luck staying upright and remaining uninjured. I hope you recover soon.

Wreck, has the headache been banished?

I'm going running soon. Think I'll just do a short one today after the weekend's exertions! 😂

Seems to be gone for now thanks!

I've only got 28 miles of fuel left in my tank, it's making me very nervous but it's 17 miles to the petrol station so should be ok... Grin

Oh no crazy! Hope you're not too sore this morning.

My dh was useless yesterday and did fuck all apart from moan that I'd put his fleece in the tumble drier instead of hanging it up (it can go in the td) because apparently it shrinks it (it doesn't, he put it on this morning and it was fine).

Morning.

Why could you post a pic of the scarf?

Fluffy I'm really clumsy generally but I'm also hormonal right now and that always makes it worse, although usually that's limited to catching my shoulders / arms on door frames and dropping things Blush

I'm not sure what I did but I also slept like the dead - solid 7 and a half hours and I really struggled to wake up this morning.

Pic attached of the cushion I finished yesterday...

Wreck, you really need to work out how to do your own patio!

Crazy, I'm a bugger for not knowing how wide I am. And the other week I rammed my - previously bad - shoulder into the bannister upright at the top of the stairs at full pace while I was cleaning. Not clever!

I'm loving the cushion! ❤️🎅🏻🎄

Morning.

Dh wants me to take the dc to the range this morning to get Halloween decorations. I don't know if we'll be allowed in though.

Crazy Did you do a little pirouette on the way down? Last time I fell down the stairs I shouted "I'm ok" just as everything began to go black🤕 . I love the cushion. Very festive. 🎄
Wreck I think you need a working party set up to help you with your patio Wink
Neros You can try? If the shop is open, then I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed in.
why Well done! One down one to go.
fluffy I have a habit of sticking my head too far into the corner kitchen cupboard then trying to stand up without moving back. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Boots in the same. I've cut my head open so many times, but only once has it needed stitches.

I went down the the range but didn't go in. There was a couple of people queuing without masks on and I just thought no.

Morning, I feel like I'm wading through treacle the past few days. We had our last boating session with Cubs for the year on Saturday, weather held to the end luckily and we got 7 sessions overall - there have been other years where we've only managed that across the 3 months of May, June and September. Family zoom call last night - quiz part didn't really happen, but it was good to just catch up. And DH had got a stuffed turkey breast to roast for dinner, which was really tasty - DD had a spicy chicken stir fry, but did eat a couple of roast potatoes and slice of turkey.... Just waiting to hear what further level of restrictions we're getting later. And I need to do some tidying in the spare room - lots got pulled out over the weekend and no time to put it away. But the weather is supposed to be pants for the week, so apart from work, I don't think I'll have anything else to do. Must get finishing my crafts too though.
