Thread 10 - the one where everyone starts writing the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 03/10/2020 12:04

NEW INFO PLZ READ
**please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Oh crikey @CoffeeAndEnnui yes I was posting in earnest, haven't had anything but good experience with them. Off to look at trustpilot now Blush

angstyalways · 05/10/2020 15:34

@Spam88 try the card factory, they usually have them quite cheap

tentative3 · 05/10/2020 15:39

Is anyone around who could PM me a unidays code for sole trader outlet? I'd love you forever!

thelegohooverer · 05/10/2020 15:45

@justyou. I bought iPads last year on Black Friday. Can’t remember how much of a discount it was now.

30FEST gives 30% off Sketchers

BeaLola · 05/10/2020 15:48

Spam88 try Wilkinsons, Poundland or Card Factory

bookish83 · 05/10/2020 15:52

@Spam88

Poundland and home bargains do decent xmas gift boxes. I am unsure exactly how big they go up to but could be worth a look!

Also TKMaxx but bet they aren't much cheaper than what you have already found

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 05/10/2020 15:53

@ MrsLeclerc Thanks so much for your message! Are they squidgy do you know or solid? Thank you Smile

Spam88 · 05/10/2020 15:54

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll be near a Home Bargains tomorrow so I'll have a nose. And I'd totally forgotten Wilko exists! And we actually have one in our county 😂 very limited real life shopping options at the moment...

dementedma · 05/10/2020 16:01

buyagift
If you have a Santander 123 account then you get 7% cash back from Buyagift as one of your retailer offers, PLUS a 15% discount with a special code.
I don’t know if the code is reusable but if it is it’s BG15CRDL
Got two nights glamming for DD’s 30th birthday for £89 and that includes the gift box option and postage

Louloubaba · 05/10/2020 16:09

My Penhaligons order arrived today - so glad I asked for the free gift box! Beautifully wrapped in tissue paper in a lovely box. Only wish I'd bought more! Thanks to PP who shared.

CompleteBarstool · 05/10/2020 16:14

@Spam88 - Home Bargains and B&M do all sorts of storage crates, trugs, plastic boxes etc.

They don't usually have lids but could be reused afterwards for all sorts .

Maybe put the bits and pieces in and use cellophane to wrap it like a previous poster did for the hampers

NewCatMummy · 05/10/2020 16:15

Re: the post office £1.50 to pay cards, my sorting office let me have a look at the item before handing over the £1.50. It’s usually a relative who’s sent a large card with a normal stamp.

DoctorYang · 05/10/2020 16:20

Looking for a Wonderbly code if anyone has one.

LostMyRubySlippers · 05/10/2020 16:34

DoctorYang I’ve just added my code to the referral thread for £10 off wonderbly- it’s the one called referral thread 2

Also thanks to PP that suggested glow in the dark stars, I love that idea for stockings or advent calendar.

tentative3 · 05/10/2020 16:51

Thank you so much to the lovely posters who send me discount codes for sole traders. Very very much appreciated and I'm very grateful!

Emma10702 · 05/10/2020 17:07

Wah! Sorry about the link 🤣

@4Minions2CallMyOwn

Hi. I was just wondering if anyone can recommend some dog figures/small toys suitable for a 1 year old to play with? She’s currently obsessed with them and we’d like to get her some more. Thanks Smile
I bought dgs these and the farm animal ones and he loves them and they have years of play value which is a bonus.
