Thanks @Anydreamwilldo12 for thread title

please read the thread is moving so fast atm and it’s pretty hard to keep up! I was just wondering on people’s thoughts on this so did a super quick questionnaire here . I’m not sure we’ll find a perfect answer to suit everyone but would love your feedback on if it’s an issue or not.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Thanks @IggyAce!

Just to say...if you like beauty products, download the Boots app. I’m getting so many vouchers and offers come through that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Just bought MIL some super expensive Clarins neck cream she likes (it’s 15% off lots of premium beauty brands at the moment, then an additional 450 advantage points for spending over £45)

I had a camelcamelcamel alert set last year and the price has dropped on this Lego set again. It's Mia House and it's down to £36 which is a great price, my two love playing with it

@Cakestandkitchen

I phoned John Lewis yesterday as had two missing packages and they confirmed someone at Royal Mail pushed the wrong button and thousands of people got the returned to sender message... they are working hard to get them all still delivered within 5 days of the order!

Oh that’s hopeful news Thank you! I’m waiting for John Lewis to call me - they have responded to my email and said they’d call in the next 2 days but nothing yet. My parcel is saying on its tracking it’ll be delivered back to JL today...so it does look like it’s going back but seems really weird!

Puffalicious · 01/10/2020 10:05

Jingleswish thanks for the Lego/ IKEA heads up. I have one right beside me so I'll nip in tomorrow. I am really sad that I'm delighted that your photo shows white boxes? I'm sick of multi coloured plastic ruining the look of every room in this house!Grin

Puffalicious · 01/10/2020 10:05

*Am I, not I am!

JinglesWish · 01/10/2020 10:09

@Puffalicious haha snap!! Lovely white toy storage 👏

Mumto3thatsme · 01/10/2020 10:40

Just placed my first order with Spicery. I couldn’t get the codes to stack but did use a referral code. Dh is South African and addicted to curry so I hope he will enjoy this gift,
I particularly liked that it can be pre-ordered to be delivered around a certain time, so I get the current deal and price but not arriving until mid December so it’s not taking up precious storage, nor stinking out the house with all the spices 😂

HanPanPeg · 01/10/2020 10:42

Has anyone used Matalan’s wrapping paper before, is it any good?

Also does anyone have any particular recommendations for Matalan - I’m trying to get my spend up as I hate paying for delivery (and there’s no matalan close to us). A false economy no doubt but I still hate it!

Just seen this one shared on fb

Mini Drone Flying Toys Built-in 7 Color Changing LED flying ball, claim the 40% voucher on the page and get it for £3.59. Perfect for stocking fillers

Cosmia · 01/10/2020 10:47

@polkadotpjs i ordered this one good fake Oodie

I8toys · 01/10/2020 10:54

HanPanPeg yes the wrapping paper is good quality. I also get the gift boxes which are on 3 for 2. The Christmas stuff is nice - I've got the felt table runner and place mats for Christmas dinner. Also the wooden black and white stars which I'm using to decorate our outdoor area seating area with little black and white reindeers.

@Theonlyoneiknow

Thanks to the poster who mentioned the LOL Clubhouse. Should I buy now for £55 or do we think that is the lowest it will go?

DS has a Xmas day birthday and every year I am stumped about what to get him! All he has asked for so far is some Harry Potter lego. Otherwise he is giving me no clues! He has a Xbox so maybe some new games. I don't want to give him a phone just yet (holding off until secondary school). Would welcome any ideas! He loves climbing but he doesn't need anything for that that I can think of. He hasn't touched the drone he got last Christmas! :(

I bought the LOL clubhouse on Amazon 2 weeks ago(?) for £36 so I would be inclined to wait and see if it comes back down.
Anydreamwilldo12 · 01/10/2020 10:59
@4Minions2CallMyOwn I don't think Lush ever offer discount codes, booooooo. I've asked/looked in the past and never found any. They only ever seem to go into sale just after Xmas as well.
Thanks so much Smile

DelurkingAJ · 01/10/2020 11:18

@Onelittlepiglet I got an email from RM saying my Lego has been returned. Rang JL, who resent it next day delivery. Wonderful except that today I had two deliveries...the special delivery and RM version both arrived so now I’ve got to drop one back to my local JL (luckily a five minute drive). RM being hopeless it appears! And excellent customer service from JL.

Have you tried doing two separate orders? That normally works :)
FrolickingLemon · 01/10/2020 11:39

Don't know if anyone has seen these, but I just got them from B&M. They were new in at £4.99 for 500g. A gift most people would appreciate I think. And an absolute bargain considering they are £15 for 700g on Amazon.
