Wreck is it online or a paper exam? If it's paper then I'll give you the same advice that I gave my DC. Go through the paper and answer all the questions that you can do easily. Any that you start to struggle with do what you can and then leave and move on to the next question. Once you've been through the paper once go back to the beginning and start on the questions you were struggling with. That way you'll pick up marks without wasting time agonising over the harder questions until you run out of time.

WreckTangled · 04/10/2020 19:54

No paper because of Covid so it's all on a computer which makes it even harder because often the question spreads over 2/3 pages and you spend half your time scrolling back up. Then any workings out you've jotted down you have to transfer onto the computer. I think it would be much easier if it was paper. Trying to type out a tricky equation really isn't easy Hmm but I might take that advice and find the questions with the most points and start with those so they're out of the way, thank you

TheWoollybacksWife · 04/10/2020 20:00

Just check that you can go backward and forward through the paper. Best of luck Wreck - I wonder if the MN advice about eating a banana beforehand would help (apparently it works with driving tests). Assuming you like bananas, obviously. 😂

WreckTangled · 04/10/2020 20:03

No carbs allowed woolly Grin I don't want to risk eating anything at all beforehand in case my sugar level goes low, then I really will get all the questions wrong Shock

WreckTangled · 05/10/2020 06:19

Morning. Ds woke up an house ago (went straight back to sleep) and I didn't get back to sleep. Just having a coffee then will shower and go.

I'm really busy at work this week and next so October should go quickly. I'm actually getting to do some proper work but will need full PPE and obviously we can't get hold of everything we need right now so I'm hoping it's all there when I go into the office tomorrow morning.

Morning!

I've had my run (got a bit lost amongst the big houses and went further than anticipated at 3.86 miles!) and only had to walk once, at the almost-3 mile mark. I got bitten twice while I was out, once on each arm!

DH has ordered me some running leggings, so I'm eagerly awaiting those, especially as it's a bit cooler now.

Good luck this morning, Wreck!

Good luck today, Wreck.

CrazyBaubles · 05/10/2020 08:23

Morning.

What did you get bitten by Fluffy?
Is it your first day in the new job today? If so - good luck!

Good luck to you too today Wreck

I had an awful nights sleep and have the start of a headache now. I'm hoping some food and drinking plenty of water / squash will see if off 🤞🏼
Relatively quiet day in work today so hopefully won't be too bad.

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/10/2020 08:42

Good luck with your exam Wreck

Good luck for your first day in your new job Fluffy

I've nearly finished my wreath and I'm hoping to finish my stuff for the Woolly Hugs sale today too then it's on to my knitted socks. Just 3 pairs to make before Christmas but they are the last things on my to-do list that are needed for Christmas so anything else I do will be a bonus.

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2020 08:53

Wreck all the best for your exam 🍀🌠🤞
Fluffy have a brilliant first day 💐😃

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2020 08:53

Woolly let be your wreath 😍clever girl 🤗

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2020 08:54

Crazy hope you are feeling better, have a chill if you can 💐

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2020 09:04

What does it auto change love to let be 🤣

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2020 09:05

Have to do small posts have lost so many this morning 🙂

ConstantlyCooking · 05/10/2020 10:07

Hope your ankle improves crazy.
Nero I am tempted by Sainsbury's too. The food looks nicer thanM&S esp some of the veggie stuff for DH. this year and there is free prosecco but I don't know how many people will be here or for which meals until we can be sure about the social distancing.
70 I don't need to make a cake (last year's is still untouched in its tin). Homemade marzipan is especially delicious covered in chocolate ... I am tempted to try stollen but I will then eat it Grin
Fingers crossed wreck
Have a great first day fluffy.

BiddyPop · 05/10/2020 10:30

Morning all,
Good luck Wreck with the exam.
Good luck in the new job Fluffy.
I hope the headache eases soon Crazy - and that someone can figure out the cause.
Enjoy the knitting Woolly, it's the perfect day to be cosy inside with it.
Welcome back Marshmallow
How is DD getting on in the new house MrsMad? I hope she's enjoying it.
Hi to everyone else I've missed. Sleep deprived after the late night announcement of a potential move from level 2 nationwide and level 3 here and Donegal, straight to level 5 nationwide. I've probably had my last Cubs meeting in person this year over the weekend because of it - but at least it was a good one, 21 out of 23 active Cubs attended (across 2 sessions so we stuck to the limit of 15 overall). DD grumpy with everyone the whole weekend, and particularly antsy yesterday as training got cancelled because of weather. DH grouchy because of stress at work and very sore shoulder. Everyone needs more sleep in this house - and a few quieter days at weekends. So maybe level 5 would be a good thing...

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/10/2020 11:05

Biddy that sounds so stressful. Maybe a short lockdown might take a bit of pressure off.

My wreath is finished. The snowballs at the bottom are glued on so I'm going to leave it to dry overnight before I post it. I need to make a hanging loop but I haven't decided how, yet. I can't decide if it needs a "tail" of white pom-poms at the bottom either. I'm a less is more kind of gal...

WreckTangled · 05/10/2020 11:41

Thanks all. Finished with half an hour to spare (because it's on the computer once you've completed a section you can't go back and check it). I've only had one coffee this morning so am off home now to have one. Parking was a nightmare this morning driving round and round to try and find a space.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2020 13:07

How did it go, Wreck?

I'm on back to back Teams meetings today. But get to finish at 4. Phew!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 05/10/2020 13:16

Oh no. We use teams at work. It's shit.

It was ok. There was one which I didn't know the formula to which was worth quite a few marks. Might have got 1 mark for it though. Just have to wait and see, about a week I think.

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/10/2020 13:20

What score do you need Wreck?

WreckTangled · 05/10/2020 13:32

I think it's only 63% but there's only about 24 questions, with varying marks, so not as simple as it sounds to get a pass if that makes sense

FireflyGirl · 05/10/2020 14:17

You've done your best, in difficult circumstances! Well done Wreck.

In other news, look what I picked up...Grin

@ConstantlyCooking. What's this about free prosecco?
