New thread again. Doesn't seem 5 minutes since the last one! 😂

Most enjoy your trip to the range. I envy you 😄

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2020 10:36

I've cleaned the kitchen etc and hung our bedding on the line, so I'm now walking into town for my flu jab and eye test! I'll pop into Sainsbury's too, see if I can have my magazine! 🤦‍♀️😂

I'll also go to Wilko to check for onion sets and garlic.

Enjoy the Range, Most.

Woolly, do you need me to look in Asda?

I'm doing all the backstitch on my deckchairs picture.
Send Gin

WreckTangled · 27/09/2020 10:41

I've baked more cookies. Low carb ones this time. Oh

WreckTangled · 27/09/2020 10:42

Random oh at the end there Grin

NerosFiddle · 27/09/2020 12:00

Wreck do you have the recipe for the apple cookies?

Most the range have a good selection. I was there early yesterday though and they had already sold out of some of their candle lanterns.

Crazy sorry about your nosebleed. It's scary when it wakes you up.

Mrs rent prices are even high here. But nothing compared to Dublin. I hear stories about people renting a cupboard for €2k a month.

Making sausage baps now for lunch.

I wonder if everywhere is still out of flour. I'm planing on a lot of baking for the next two weeks.

WreckTangled · 27/09/2020 12:06

Yes Neros here

I was wrong about the panic buying here. It's strange because the shops were stocked Friday morning but yesterday there were photos of empty shelves everywhere and I can't add any loo roll to my Tesco delivery due on Friday.

CrazyBaubles · 27/09/2020 12:20

I managed to get back to sleep at 5:20, back up at 8. I'm lucky I didn't ruin my bedding as I led there with a nosebleed for a good minute or 2 before I realised what was happening!

I'm struggling to book my flu jab, nowhere here seems to be doing them for under 65s here, whether you're able to get on on NHS or not.

Sorry for your poor sleep Wreck
Slightly different panic buying happening here too. Managed to get pasta which was all I wanted but there was no tinned soup, no hand soap, very few tins of beans etc 🙄

MrsMad houses around here are £550-750 per month to rent and parts of Cwmbran are higher.

Love the idea of an autumn, conker wreath Lachy

Ah it's a Merejka one most. Is your chart terrifying like mine? Xmas Grin
Enjoy The Range!

Gin for you puss

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/09/2020 12:24

@NoWordForFluffy

Woolly, do you need me to look in Asda?

Probably a bit late now but I've been told it's out of stock everywhere. No news on if it will come back into stock.

Thanks anyway Fluffy

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/09/2020 12:27

The chart is crazy crazy Grin

The Range was fab. DS and DH were very taken with a £100 winter scene!

This is what we actually got though

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/09/2020 12:42

Out of curiosity I've just checked what rental prices are like locally. £950 a month for a reasonable house. DD1 and 2 plan to move in together and were looking at buying a house. Even with a decent deposit saved over the last couple of years it just wasn't feasible on DD1's teacher's salary (DD2 would effectively be her lodger). God alone knows how people who rent can save at the same time and it's even worse for people in the commuter belt and big cities.

Busy day today. I've changed DS's bed, washed and hung out his and our bedding. Made bread and homemade soup. My parcel is at Asda so I'm going there after lunch then I'm making a roast and I'm using up some pain au chocolate to make bread and butter pudding. The recipe calls for egg yolks as well as eggs so I've googled recipes for using up the egg whites. I'm going to attempt macarons tomorrow 😬 when I'm making the Christmas cake

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2020 12:50

Oh no. What a pain.

Apparently Boots aren't doing flu jabs today. And, weirdly, I now can't find my booking. So I may have to go without! Ah well. Not like I go anywhere to catch it!

A house identical to our old one, just around the corner (tiny 1980s 2 bed) is £575 to rent. 4 bed (which we viewed when we bought this) is £1395.

Woolly is it Gin?

pussycatinboots · 27/09/2020 14:16

Ah, Well done Woolly 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/09/2020 14:16
