Nero mine started with the throat and the sniffling a day or so later . I'm still coughing though , it's knackering !

I bought some nice festive socks for DD (QVC)

DH decided to watch Halloween ( the film, newish one not the original) so he's getting into the swing of the seasons Xmas Grin

I'm having my Flu Jab done in a couple of weeks .

DD went to University yesterday , only her 2nd journey there as a Proper Student (she's been for Open days) . There was a trespasser on the line and some random bloke asked for her phone number ( that was a "No" )
London Life eh?

ConstantlyCooking · 26/09/2020 19:47

Thank you fluffy- I am over 50 but according to Boots over 50s are only eligible after the over 65s and priority groups have had their vaccinations. I will probably pay because I am being coughed & sneezed on by children all day plus traveling by tube.
Nero and 70 i hope you feel better soon, heavy colds are miserable.
Good luck to your DD 70. She is much better off living at home this year. We wasted so much on rent last year plus this year all of DD's lectures and seminars are online so I am not sure she needs to be away - plus she is now in isolation because a friend tested positive !

WreckTangled · 26/09/2020 21:00

We've been to my aunts for an Indian and just got home. Was delicious and the dc ate all of theirs.

It's 19° in our sitting room now and heating is set to come on at 18... I want to turn it down to stop it coming on but dh wants to turn it up Hmm

I'm wondering if M&S will do their offer again this year on their onesies. Ds' from last year is getting too small (he's so tall!) and they're so lovely.

Royalinsider · 26/09/2020 21:13

Evening everyone.
Bought some Christmassy biscuits from B&M, seem to have quite a lot of festive stock in store.

Hope you have found your keys Wreck don't seem to lose them too often as have key box next to the door. Think it was about £4 from Ikea.

Lovely C/S Most and Crazy

OMG definitely a no 70 My DD is in uni and she went to her uni friend's house for the weekend about an hour away, think she was drawn by the fact that there was a roast on offer. Grin

Nero hope you and 70 are feeling much better.

Constantly I feel your pain, am constantly hugged, squeezed, and coughed and sneezed on all day.

Mrsmadevans · 26/09/2020 23:03

You can tell l am tired by the mistakes Grin

Mrsmadevans · 26/09/2020 23:08

Great stuff MM GOOD TO SEE THE YOUNGSTERS settled Smile

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 26/09/2020 23:55

Hi folks rocking the night shift for 4/5 this week. Was at a patients flat last night she is really poorly and was calling my name in her restless sleep bless her. I have bought some luxury dried fruit for my Christmas cake which looks great. I have also ordered three presents with the M and S voucher I had for being with the bank for a year. Feeling quite pleased with myself (could still go downhill yet mind).

CrazyBaubles · 27/09/2020 04:09

🎄 89 🎄

Woke up with a nosebleed 😩, I'm assuming it's because I'm still full of a cold and have been blowing my nose a lot.
Fingers crossed I'll be able to get back to sleep.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2020 07:12

Morning!

Sounds productive, Why, well done!

Crazy, I get nosebleeds with heavy colds. It's so frustrating when you already feel ill!

It's flu jab and eye test day today. I also want to make a batch of mince pies or two. And maybe some brownies. That will be all freezer space created during the sort totally filled then. 😂

WreckTangled · 27/09/2020 07:38

That's good why, I usually end up spending M&S vouchers on food Grin

Crazy sorry you had a nosebleed that's not very nice.

Ds woke at midnight and I didn't get back to sleep until almost four. They were up again at 6:30. Needless to say I feel like shit.

Fluffy I haven't booked mine yet I'm dreading it because for three days after my sugar levels are always really high I also think I should have had the pneumonia one previously too and haven't so need to ask for that. Luckily I'm working at my doctors surgery in a few weeks so will grab the nurse and ask.

I need coffee.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2020 08:06

God, Wreck, why did he wake? 😴 I'm so glad we are past DS' awful sleeping (until he turned 4).

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 27/09/2020 08:12

I'm not sure he was really upset and needed a wee. He might have had a bad dream he's really suffering at the moment with worries, he won't go upstairs on his own at any time of the day ash he's too scared. He spends a lot of time being a dog because he doesn't feel so scared then, apparently. Poor thing. He usually sleeps well, and did go straight back to sleep, but I can never get back to sleep once I've been woken up.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/09/2020 08:16

Bless him. DS has turns like that, where he wants us to go to the bathroom with him or he won't go upstairs if his room is dark, even though he's tall enough to turn the lights on.

They sound similar in their sensitivity.

I'm like you too. It's rare I can get back to sleep.

My DDS both went through this and night terrors, just found this link from NHS
www.nhs.uk/conditions/night-terrors/
Then they ended all of a sudden 💐
Why love you are doing such an important job well done 🤗
Great Christmas prep 😁
Fluffy sounds like a productive day for you too 😀 great baking plans 😋😋😋
Have my nephew and his partner coming today he's going to rent together with him . The house is 750 a month !!!!
I am thinking it's a lot of money for a house but l may be out of the loop and getting old & out of date with everything 🙄🤣🤣🤣
Sounds about right ☺️

WreckTangled · 27/09/2020 08:45

Mrs houses here are £1200+ a month. 11 years ago DH and I rented a flat (tiny top floor converted victorian house, it has a sitting room with one wall the 'kitchen', a bedroom and a bathroom) and that was £500 a month. I loved it. I actually used to have night terrors and sleep paralysis but it was when I was a teen rather than a child. I'm not sure how ds woke up because by the time I woke up he was in the bathroom with dh. I'll have to ask him when he gets out of bed...

I'm going to make the JO apple crumble cookies today. They're perfect for the dc's lunch boxes and only five ingredient.

Fluffy they do sound similar, I enable the dog thing I suppose as I feel if it makes him feel secure it's worth it. Although the barking drives me mad Grin

lachy · 27/09/2020 09:22

Good morning!

DD has decided we need to go for a walk today (very good idea 👍) and I'm tempted to make something like this picture...

I should be decluttering but I really like the thought of an autumn wreath on the door in preparation for the Christmas Wreath!

Morning all :) DH wants to go to the Range today so I will check out their Christmas stuff.

This is the full cross stitch crazy, it is massive!

Got the master bedroom done this morning as per the Grand Plan. Luckily it is the tidiest room in the house so it was just a matter of washing the skirting boards etc.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/09/2020 10:14

Would help if I had attached pic crazy

Sorry posted twice my phone 😃🙄🤣
Lachy great idea re walk and wreath, you can pick up cones and acorns and twigs and leaves brilliant 😄
Did you see that Waitrose were selling leaves on a twig ? 😃😂
Apparently they were selling like hell 🙄
