Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

It’s still working for me, but only with certain socks. I had to play around with it a bit to find ones that worked.

Isadora2007 · 12/09/2020 20:35

@PathOfLeastResitance Argos had their junior garmins in some designs down to £29.99

Lobelia76 · 12/09/2020 20:36

@Lellyo I haven’t RTFT so someone may have already suggested this but I got Nike touchscreen gloves from M and M direct last year for my boys.

Either of these types seem to trigger the girls 2pack of slippersocks turning to £0

PathOfLeastResitance · 12/09/2020 20:41

@Isadora2007 thank you so much!

Duckswaddle · 12/09/2020 20:42

The garmin watch is on amazon to for £29.99 if it helps, some designs sold out though but seem to come back in

CosmicVagina · 12/09/2020 21:07

Can anybody help with a bargain on a S'well 2 in 1 food flask or suggest an alternative?

Scoleah · 12/09/2020 21:15

Thank you to whoever posted the Lidl waterproofs! Went into my local and managed to get the trousers and coat. What a bargain!
I had the 4-6 years, fab fit, adjustable straps and poppers to make the trousers smaller around the waist, I'm so pleased! Absolutely perfect for the school runs now we have to queue outside!

whoknows2 · 12/09/2020 21:37

I went into 3 Lidl's yesterday for the waterproof trousers and they were all gone 😕

lucysmam · 12/09/2020 21:41

A couple of threads back; someone posted some multi-packs of bracelets (or maybe rings...I can't remember) from ebay for advent calendar/stocking fillers.

Can anyone remember the search terms? I'm looking for something small and inexpensive for my Rainbows and Guides - not necessarily jewellery if anyone has any other ideas. I'd like to send them a small something each as we'll not be meeting for a while yet.

Sad hopefully you'll be able to get your hands on some soon!

Givealittlebit · 12/09/2020 21:49

*hard to buy for.

God I'm tired 😴

Tiggles · 12/09/2020 22:17

@pathofleastresitance Google garmin jnr 2.
Basically they are a step counter but they are linked to different characters. On the phone if they make an hour exercise in a day they get to make a move on a game app. You can set up chores they have to do on the app and then if they do them they get a star.

theyips · 12/09/2020 22:22

There were lots of the waterproofs in my Lidl today if anyone's near Bromsgrove. Also reduced slushy cups and lots of baby/toddler toys. No xmas food out yet tho :(

Notlongnow1 · 12/09/2020 22:23

Lovely quidditch robe fancy dress £11 at John Lewis. Looks like only in age 5-6.

whoknows2 · 12/09/2020 22:37

Very cheap Xmas braclet or unicorn necklace from this amazon seller with free delivery, suitable as stocking fillers for younger girls?

thelegohooverer · 12/09/2020 22:40

Would anyone have a discount code for lowplex?

wibdib · 13/09/2020 02:17

@lucysmam if you search on eBay for solar bracelet there are lots of options for about a pound - it’s a simple bracelet but with beads added that are approx the right size and colour to represent the different planets in order (the idea is usually that you represent the sun that they are orbiting around).

But as a non- Christmassy present they could be quite nice as they’re not too girly, have a nice link to science/stem stuff/the sky/the heavens/a system/astronomy/etc as well as looking nice and could be tied into some nice words about some or all of the above.

Haven’t checked on amazon or Ali express but guessing they would be similar. Might be worth buying one to check you like / size would be right, before buying lots though! Different delivery times and discounts depending on quantity ordered hence no link.

@Shieldingending 😂. Dd once insisted I bought her socks with the name Emma on (her name isn’t Emma!) because she liked them!
