Thanks @ClaraLane for thread title

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Thanks to PP who mentioned brand alley- very good Melissa and Doug sales on there!

DaisyChops · 12/09/2020 09:10

@MakeTeaNotWar the transformers seem to have gone from the Asda website, it was the 4 pack transformer rescue bots academy for £20, might be worth looking in store as I saw some last week.

greyandwhiteclouds · 12/09/2020 09:19

Hi knowledgeable xmas bargain people!
Is it worth getting beano and dandy annuals now at 6.99 or do they get cheaper?

(Despite buying them every year I can't remember!!)

superstar84 · 12/09/2020 09:26

I think Asda usually does 2 for £7 on the annuals

Hophop26 · 12/09/2020 09:30

Hello, where would I get a giant dinosaur toy?! The indoor inflatable ones, I feel like you guys will know ha!

Newnamedillydally · 12/09/2020 09:30

Sort of Christmassy, if you have a Waitrose loyalty card they have started sending out 10 pound off a 50 pound shop vouchers. You can include alcohol in the shop too. Plus at the moment they have a bottle of champagne with a third off, so works out at 17.99 a bottle then you can use the voucher on top.

Methenyouplus4 · 12/09/2020 09:49

An I missing something with Sock Shop? Added the Elle socks and code, but still just the normal (sale) price with 10% off.

Flackattack · 12/09/2020 09:54

I’ve bought ugg boots from brand alley / all good!

rosebb1 · 12/09/2020 10:08

Puppets are back! here

Bluewavescrashing · 12/09/2020 10:08

Thanks for sock shop tip. I didn't get the cosy socks suggested but instead found named pink socks for £1 a pair, embroidered with names. Cashmere blend socks 2 for £3.99 and some cool arty socks for £2.49. Black 5x pack for DH for £4.99. Spent £14 delivered on 10 pairs of high quality socks.

Bluewavescrashing · 12/09/2020 10:10

Brand Alley is legit, I've used it before. Good discounts on brands and tempting intro discount. No problems at all.

Sneezein3s · 12/09/2020 10:15

@Methenyouplus4 have you added two pairs? It’s still working with the kids cosy Elle socks

Tildero · 12/09/2020 10:18

Bagged the puppets thanks @rosebb1

PinkDaydreams · 12/09/2020 10:18

I’m after the amazon Mel and Doug barn animal puppets, should have bought them the othe week when they were £5 as they seem to be £22 all the time now!

Whattodowithaminute · 12/09/2020 10:27

@Friedbanana yes brand alley legit, I’ve had loads from there over the years. They do referral codes too but think it’s an £80 spend which is a bit chunky.

noodledoodler · 12/09/2020 10:34

@PinkDaydreams go go go the puppets are still there, scroll down for the link

PinkDaydreams · 12/09/2020 10:38

@noodledoodler they’re £22 for the barn yard ones :(

Ehunt1 · 12/09/2020 10:50

@mogtheexcellent my local Lidl has nice orange and light grey waterproofs as well as the pink and blue ones. Online it only showed pink and blue options though.

margaritasbythesea · 12/09/2020 10:52

Hophop26 I saw a dinosaur like that in The Works not too long ago. Worth a try.

margaritasbythesea · 12/09/2020 10:56

I have just bought thus book for DD which is a compilation of the 'Letter to my Younger Self' column which appears in The Big Issue. She loved the Bedtime Stories for Rebel Girls book and thought she might enjoy it.

I also thought it would be a good gift for hard to buy for people. £12.99 at Amazon down from £16.99.
