Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

Fluffy this cushion addiction is getting out of hand and l am sorry but the blame is squarely at your door for introducing the cushion to us in the first place 😂😂😂 henceforth we must stop all mention of the cushion in future to be able to get over our addiction then l can swoop in and get one or two for me

70 Charlie isn't bothered, but will play with an empty Dairylea box with dreamies hidden in it so it rattle Tilly has been known to hide my scrunchys naughty girl I think they would both be happy to eat me as I lay incapacitated, should it come to that and I imagine they'd be happier than when I feed them Coley flavour

Mrsmadevans · 06/09/2020 15:11

I've just bought a third freezer as we've run out of space due to successful allotmenting!

Fluffy Grin

I've just sorted our chest freezer ready for batch cooking and found last year's excess blackcurrants and raspberries at the bottom! Will have to send them to DMIL's for jam!

We're starting on freezer surprise meals for lunch next week - wish us luck Wink I have at least 3 half joints of beef (or lamb??) in there, so going to try making meat pie on Friday with puff pastry.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/09/2020 16:15

Hmmm. Pie! I'm coming to yours for dinner though I'll have to eat outside, given that your DH won't let me in!.

Firefly If you call it "Hufflepuff" pastry - it tastes nicer Wink
Fluffy shall I meet you there and bring some plastic tumblers and a nice bottle of red? and a blanket ...

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining in. I'm trying to be more organised for this Christmas and starting with putting some money aside each month now in preparation.

WreckTangled · 06/09/2020 17:04

I'm finally feeling better Grin we've got roast chicken for dinner and I got so much meat from a chicken that apparently feeds four. I'm going to attempt a chicken noodle soup tomorrow, never made one before.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/09/2020 17:10

You've got the Mumsnet chicken, Wreck! 😂

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 06/09/2020 17:17

Wreck glad you are feeling better. That chicken should last at least the rest of the week tbh or MN is wrong Xmas Grin

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 06/09/2020 17:27

Glad you are feeling better wreck. I was going to do sausages with a leek and potato bake for dinner but we had massive slices of cake at the garden centre so don't think we can face that Grin

WreckTangled · 06/09/2020 18:20

Mmm I love leeks, must get some, I ate loads last winter.

The chicken is almost a mn magic chicken but I'm not boiling the bones to make stock. I reckon I can easily get three meals out of it though.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 06/09/2020 18:26

Decided to do dinner but about 8 when we should have an appetite :)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/09/2020 18:42

I've looked online on Lakeland Limited ..the Christmas stock is viewable (but not sure if it's in stock yet) so I'm off down the RabbotHole while I digest my dinner Xmas Grin
