Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

I always think Onslo from Keeping Up Appearances when vests are mentioned.

MarshmallowManiac · 04/09/2020 22:32

Love Onslow Why remember him fondly as Eddie Yeats in Corrie. Smile

Oops. Got sucked into an LoD binge (plus cross stitch). It's all the Bs tonight: Balaclava Man and blue!

Why, I always think of mother as being a bit Hyacinth in days gone by. Not so much now!

Sleep time... 💤

I was just reading the risk assessment the DC's school has done and it says that the government are advising children stay home from school if they have any signs of illness even a cold to avoid running down others immunities Hmm we're lucky that our dc are very rarely unwell but they still get colds and runny noses especially in the winter.

BiddyPop · 05/09/2020 07:15

Morning, after a night of tossing on both sides of the bed (both DH and I in other words), I am drinking coffee and debating whther I would wake up again in time for Cubs if I go back to bed - or should I go for an afternoon film and nap option ... I’m thinking the latter is safer. DH and dd have headed off to a sailing competition on the other side of the country.

Mmm, Shepherd’s pie looks good - might make 1 for Monday.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 05/09/2020 07:25

We had a discussion in school yesterday wreck about not wanting colds etc in. The school will be empty after October half term!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/09/2020 07:36

Biddy, I think I'd do the latter too. It'll be lovely and cosy!

Wreck, that's a bit bonkers. Our two are rarely ill either, but all kids get colds on occasion. I'll have to find the schools' policies (they'll be the same as they're linked schools, just separate infants and juniors rather than a 7 year primary).

Ooh Line of Duty binge Fluffy Xmas Grin

Balaclava Man is Series 4 ? (The one with Thandie )

DH and I rewatched the whole lot , Series 5 is still confusing to me though !

NoWordForFluffy · 05/09/2020 08:21

Yes, Series 4. We re-watch the lot every time there's a new series!

It's the first re-watch of 5, so time will tell if I'm up-to-speed!

It's a good series for quotes:
DD and I use dinnerladies , Still Game and Monty Phython as sources but LoD has slipped in.

Bent Bastard
To the Letter of the Law Fella , the Letter

We spmetimes see how many various quotes we can shoehorn into a day ( just DD and I , not any conversatiions with Real People ..they'd be Confused )

NoWordForFluffy · 05/09/2020 08:35

We caught one we'd not caught before the other night: 'It's like your grandma's nightwear; covers everything', which we loved.

Ted has THE BEST lines. The BBC released loads of little musical skits using Ted last series, they were bloody brilliant!

NoWordForFluffy · 05/09/2020 08:36

Oh, Still Game is a fab programme too! (I don't like Rab, but SG is ace!)

Morning.

Those lines apparently are not writing. Adrian Dunbar throws in Norn Irishisms.

Omg omg Fluffy 😄😁😁😄can't wait can't wait ! 🤗

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/09/2020 08:59

Xmas Grin that is good .
There's a Children in Need LoD sketch ( Lee Mack and Jason Isaacs )

Lindsay Denton interview answers "No I Did Not" ( rather than just "No" ) is used here for effect !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/09/2020 09:01

Ted's little phrases weren't in much evidence early on but I suppose as his character grew........

Mrsmadevans · 05/09/2020 09:02

Wreck that seems nuts none of the DC will be in school going by that! I vote dosing then up on cold tablets if they can take them, to disguise the cold . Dry it up and when challenged act innocent. What my children have a cold & are in school ? No you are very much mistaken! 😂😂
Fluffy X stitch is beautiful 💕
Am off to Goldcliff today then retail therapy in Newport 😁
Have a lovely day everyone 😀

NoWordForFluffy · 05/09/2020 09:19

Neros, I had that conversation with DH about the lines being Adrian's rather than written in (we made that assumption, rather than knowing).

I'll have to find that sketch, 70!
