Here we go!

I've got a busy day tomorrow, so I'm starting this now, ready for when it's needed.

They need to find one that has 2 vacancies - with adjacent rooms.

NoWordForFluffy · 14/09/2020 16:10

Get them sorted then, Mrs. Shouldn't take too long, I'd think.

Whack the houses on the market too (you'll have to do the home can be paid for). Get them sold before winter.

Hurrah MrsM. I know you've been dreading her moving out, but it's been a long time and she must be so looking forward to having 'her' house.

You definitely need to get Social Services involved with MumBob, though. Your DM is putting herself in ridiculous (and potentially dangerous) situations which she expects you and MrM to then sort out.

You need to lay it on the line to her - you are getting too old to be cleaning up her s**t (literally as well as figuratively). This latest incident has just shown that she needs more care and supervision than you are capable of providing. You are getting SS involved to see if they can facilitate her staying where she is/at her home. Otherwise, she will need to move to a care home where they can provide her the assistance and supervision she obviously needs.

Another alternative might be assisted living/sheltered accommodation? That way they could get somewhere together, there would be more assistance to hand but they'd still be semi-independent.

Glad DD seems to be okay Wreck.

NoWordForFluffy · 14/09/2020 22:18

Mrs, Firefly is right! Honestly, just get them into a care home toot sweet.

Finally your DD has the keys! When is she moving in properly? Does she have furniture etc? I couldn't wait to get into my house at that age. No backward glance!

The detail on your cross stitch is amazing, Most. I love the taxi / bus! My cross stitch is attached. Not too much left now. Thank god.

Most cross stitch is brilliant well done!
Funny you should say that Fire l have been talking to her & Bob this evening and they have expressed that they would like to do this with no persuation from me! I don't know how long it will take to sort this out but l am taking her to the Doctors on Thursday and l will have a word with the Doctor then then. I would feel a lot happier if the two of them were safely in an oap bungalow with on site staff. Thank you for the heads up am on the case! Grin

Mrsmadevans · 14/09/2020 22:31

Keys are Friday Fluffy she hasn't any furniture yet , she has ordered an L shape sofa, which will come on the 20th October, so l think she is looking to be in by then, has to have carpets and flooring put down, as soon as the internet is done she will prob get in there then , she can't wait! Your cross stitch is amazing so pretty. Am hoping to sort Mum & Bob out very soon with the help of the Dr and the social worker . FINGERS CROSSED !

Morning! It's set to be nice again today. Not quite as warm as yesterday though.

I misread you previous message, Mrs, i thought it read in the present tense! Yay for Friday!

IKEA, Argos and unwanted items from friends / family filled my first house!

We had an early-ish night last night as I was really tired. I definitely needed the sleep!

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2020 06:54

Mrs, you don't actually need the GP etc to help. You just find somewhere with a vacancy and sign them up!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 15/09/2020 07:37

Sheltered housing here is council run mainly. I suppose each area is different.

It's going to be hot here again, have just put all the bedding in the washing machine.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2020 08:18

It's council-run in many places. But you still find a vacancy yourself. I know, because a) my mum used to be a warden for them and b) she's now looking herself (or was til she had a downturn, medically). I was looking up here for her too, so have been to look round. No GP or SW input is needed.

I Googled what was out there and then contacted to see what was what / contacted re vacancies.

Mrsmadevans · 15/09/2020 08:30

Morning everyone 😀
It's housing association run here and you need points to be able to get accommodation.
I will investigate it all with the help of the SW/ Go. Apparently a Go letter goes a long way toward being considered. So will put some feelers out thank you all for your suggestions 🤗
Dd2 is desperate to move in . I feel l must be horrible for her to want to go so much 😂

Mrsmadevans · 15/09/2020 08:31

Am going to Newport for some retail therapy 😁 can't wait . Dd2 has given me a shopping list 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 15/09/2020 08:35

Are you sure, Mrs? Some are HA here too, but you still find it yourself. Then you go on a waiting list (where the GP etc may bump you up). It's dead man's shoes on the list, however! Literally.

All adult kids should want to leave home! Pretty standard! 😂

OP posts:
pussycatinboots · 15/09/2020 08:38

What is DD1 going to do? Is she going to get itchy feet too, Mrs or is she thinking of being DD2s lodger? 😂😂

Mrsmadevans · 15/09/2020 08:39

Fluffy seems different here but it could be because it's Wales l suppose. I will have to look into it in more detail because each county seems different. I honestly think l would be better off getting them to come to Aber if l can so they are nearer to us 🤗
