Thank you @nickdrakeslovechild for thread title.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.

@Sunshineskies
I’ve just done the exact same thing and the same message has come up for me too. I’m wondering if because we have just signed up it takes a bit of time to process? Fingers crossed anyway 🤞

I clicked on the google nest thing at about 8.30 pm and it said mine was being sent out.

Reastie · 02/09/2020 06:10

Just thought I would show you the size of these advent calenders. Also shows the inside of it too. They are pictured with a standard sized book so god knows where I will put them Grin

I wouldn’t have paid full price for them though

Have seen on different threads that people bought 3 LF beauty boxes and they all are the same and the content is the same as in the picture posted earlier on the thread.

Mamagotskills · 02/09/2020 07:27

Looks like the wine opener has gone back up already 😩

Link to the wine opener, it took me a while to find it.

Yes
here it is

NightOwl19 · 02/09/2020 08:25

Not strictly for Christmas but DCs school have informed they won't be sending reading books/homework home. They've been absolutely useless so can't imagine they'll give any guidance on books to follow so can anyone recommend a good website where I can order a variety of primary school books from? Have 3 DC spread out across primary school

Soubriquet · 02/09/2020 08:32

I use eBay for books for children. Or Facebook pages.

Dd was able to get 25 rainbow fairy books for £5 and they are all in brilliant condition

MooseyMoo · 02/09/2020 08:35

Just found this thread today so hopefully this isn’t a duplicate bargain ...

Animal Crossing offer from Zavvi Tshirt, mug and coasters for £10.99

Looking for more Animal Crossing Merchandise and Plants Vs Zombies

FireflyGirl · 02/09/2020 08:36

@NightOwl19 do you have easy access to a local library?

Mine usually has a section which they prepare with the local school of age-appropriate books - so a shelf for foundation, a shelf for year 1 etc (it's a small village school, though, and small library, so that could be why).

Luxplus · 02/09/2020 08:38

All my boxes from look fantastic have been different and the value is amazing Grin I'm extremely pleased

MooseyMoo · 02/09/2020 08:40

@NightOwl19 Love Reading for Kids to read reviews/recommendations and I buy books from Wordery

My 10 yr DD is a bookworm and my 8yr DS is a reluctant reader so happy to help with recommendations (the book section on MN is also good)

You could use the Oxford owls website which has a huge library of free ebooks. I know reading on an iPad or laptop isn't as good as having a real book but they're a useful (free!) resource!
NightOwl19 · 02/09/2020 08:49

FireflyGirl our local libary is quite a drive away and not that great.

MooseyMoo thank you for the links I'll have a look on there! Some recommendations would be great I have the youngest covered but my 9 year old DD struggles quite a bit and 7 year old DD loves reading so any ideas would be great!

NightOwl19 · 02/09/2020 08:50

ScarelttDarling great suggestion thank you

Soubriquet · 02/09/2020 08:50

My 7 year old dd loves reading too. She will soon have a book collection to rival mine GrinGrin

I’m so glad I kept all my old Enid Blyton books and she’s whizzed through them!

Martinisarebetterdirty · 02/09/2020 08:51

Thank you so much for the Spotify Google Nest - I was already a premium member and have clicked on - apparently high demand and I will be sent the link for mine via email later - so we shall see Smile
