Title inspired by the sweltering heat today but I’m still planing Christmas!!!

Thank you to chips for keeping the seat warm for me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

TenCornMaidens · 17/08/2020 20:15
@TenCornMaidens I also ordered the spoons last year and they are cute. But they are also tiny compared to a normal teaspoon.
... which is even better, surely? Good for making up a Christmas mug with hot chocolate sachet and marshmallows type gift. The sort of thing I've heard good mothers do only a rumour round here

UselessInDisguise · 17/08/2020 20:15

Can't remember who's dd likes llamas but Lisa angel sell a Christmas dec for all of £1.20

UselessInDisguise · 17/08/2020 20:17

17caterpillars1mouse · 17/08/2020 22:07

They had those slushie maker cups reduced to £5 at Morrisons this evening. I know somebody was asking regarding them before

WatchoutfortheROUS · 17/08/2020 22:39

@Methenyouplus4 I was going to post the same - there have been some serious cases requiring extensive surgery, the magnets do terrible damage to intestines etc if swallowed. I read about a 4 year old the other day who had to have most of his bowel removed after swallowing some. So definitely not for those with any younger children in the house but obviously great for older ones Smile

Thank pp you for the JL code, what a great offer!

balalalala · 17/08/2020 22:44

Is the John Lewis website down? It's saying my access has been denied... maybe my husband has secret security control over me?!

recklessgran · 17/08/2020 23:26

@polkadotpjs what about a packet of noodles and a pair of chopsticks for your boy's stockings? [Cheap stocking filler and a bit of fun]

Clevererthanyou · 18/08/2020 00:47

Just a warning about the frog masks mentioned up thread, they are a nice little gift but they’re best for little kids upto about five because they’re small and there isn’t much stretch in them. The eyelid isn’t guaranteed to close but my little boy loves his anyway.

Someaddedsugar · 18/08/2020 08:10

Gap Outlet have 15% off when you buy 5 of more items - ends tomorrow.

Someaddedsugar · 18/08/2020 08:11

That should be 5 or more

Thegirlhasnoname · 18/08/2020 08:15

Thank you for Cath Kidston tip off. Got my sister (who is notoriously difficult to buy for as she has 0 hobbies but really likes cath kidston stuff) a saddle bag on the cheap

RickOShay · 18/08/2020 08:37

Thanks also @TenCornMaidens
I have an 11 yo and 13 yo boys, I’m already panicking slightly about their stockings Smile
With dd I can go on and on and on Grin

LouisaKelmen · 18/08/2020 08:51

Have you seen any?

wornoutboots · 18/08/2020 08:58

KatnissMellark · 18/08/2020 09:06

Great stocking filler here for ages 3-7. I've bought one for DS and two for the present drawer in anticipation of birthday parties once school starts... we'll see!
