Title inspired by the sweltering heat today but I’m still planing Christmas!!!

Thank you to chips for keeping the seat warm for me.

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@NoWordForFluffy yes I'm signed in & signed up. I'll keep trying, thanks!

hiredandsqueak · 15/08/2020 22:49

@lucysmam try signing in to your account then check that you are signed up to the John Lewis card in your account. They don't always tally up if you only sign into your account and the code won't work without being signed up to the loyalty card.

lucysmam · 15/08/2020 22:51

I didn't know that @hiredandsqueak, I just presumed they'd be linked automatically. I'll check, thank you

Redwinestillfine · 15/08/2020 23:40

I'm so confused about the JL code. I have a card but I am not really clear on what qualifies so far deposit trying lots of things from the home section the most I can get off is £4.50.....

Hi all!

I've joined in on these threads on a previous name before.

Thanks to @Reastie for getting us going again.

Thanks to the poster who posted the JL code - I've bought a Chilly's food pot to help with the lunch situation at work once we're back (teacher).

captainjacksparrow · 16/08/2020 04:47

Thanks for the JL code, got myself a chillys bottle as it’s on my own Wish list Grin

Code worked first time although site was very glitchy. Using mobile whilst feeding baby.

PinkDaydreams · 16/08/2020 06:31

Finally got round to using the John Lewis code, thank you! Bought a fancy spoon that I’ve had saved since last year so that’s another pressie ticked off the list for £10 :) thank you!

NightOwl19 · 16/08/2020 06:37
@NightOwl19, have you signed in and checked that you're signed up to My John Lewis? Also, keep trying. It took about 10 attempts to check out when my DH did his purchase (gardening gloves for me!).
I double checked and I wasn't joined up to my John Lewis so I joined and tried a few times over the night but still wouldn't work for me. Thank you for the tips though

NightOwl19 · 16/08/2020 06:47

Not sure if this is any use to anyone but I have a code for Buyagift.com it's for 23% off full and discounted packages but I think it's a one time only code so if it's of any use to anyone here it is

UselessInDisguise · 16/08/2020 07:29

Hello, any ideas where I can get a bargain price police fancy dress uniform for a three yo boy? Just had a seller let me down in ebay Sad

LatteLover12 · 16/08/2020 07:35

Loving all these bargains- managed to get the avengers mask for £9.99 instead of almost £50 and just got two new lamps from JL for £17!

WisestIsShe · 16/08/2020 07:37

@UselessInDisguise I can recommend this one from Sainsbury's which is £13 but you could wait for a 25% off? Quality is lovely though.

UselessInDisguise · 16/08/2020 07:45

That looks great @WisestIsShe I wonder when the next one will be!

Strawberryfield12 · 16/08/2020 07:49

Those of you looking for alternatives for Book People, have you seen Books2door.com? For some reason they remind me a lot BP. I ordered two collections for DD few weeks ago and had no problems with them.

Sunfl0wer20 · 16/08/2020 07:56

Thank you so much for this! I have had my eye on the spiderman stuff for my little boy who will be 4 in September. Just saved me a fortune. Love these threads !!
NightOwl19 · 16/08/2020 08:05

Glad it was useful Sunfl0wer20

BumpkinSpiceBatty · 16/08/2020 08:32

Thanks for the JL code. Managed to order Harry potter dobble last night.

LyraSilvertongueBelacqua · 16/08/2020 08:35

@WisestIsShe I'm not sure how true it is, but I have heard Sainsbury's aren't doing the 25% off (it's usually now) due to stock levels and covid.

Have you tried tk maxx?

Ratbagcatbag · 16/08/2020 08:35

Thank you for the smart plug recommendation from amazon. Brilliant idea regarding the Christmas tree lights. 🎄🎄

WisestIsShe · 16/08/2020 08:43

I can't remember who was looking for Exploding Kittens but Amazon have it for £14.90 here
CCC seems to suggest that isn't a bad price?
