Title inspired by the sweltering heat today but I’m still planing Christmas!!!

@Tildero the Frozen Duplo Ice Castle went down to around £30 around 6 weeks ago on Amazon and at The Entertainer. Maybe worth putting a CC alert on it to see if it drops again. Was watching it for DD but went with the Mickey Mouse House Duplo set which was also on offer at the time instead!

Bargain amazon duplo arrived this morning (after it originally said it was due to be delivered late September) - definitely a good bargain!

The Amazon echo is down to £20.97 with two months of Amazon music included, but only for certain customers it seems! I'm sure last year it dropped to around £9 but not sure if it included the music with it.

If you've already got an Amazon Alexa I've just spotted that you can buy a Smart Plug for £9.99 instead of £24.99 by using the code 'smartplug' when it's in your basket.

I haven't seen one before but apparently I'll be able to control things by voice using Alexa so I can be really lazy and use Alexa to turn my fan on at night or use it to turn lights on and off when I'm on holiday. I'm going to give it to dd2 as last year she got an Echo dot and she loves it. I suspect she'll be connecting it to disco lights in her bedroom!

Home Bargains good for toiletry stocking fillers: face packs,shower gel etc. Gift packs of David Beckham toiletries for a couple of quid too.

@StealthNinjaMum could you link to the plug this applies to please. I've tried to order one and it just says it can't be applied to that product but there are a fair few to choose from and I might be trying with the wrong product.

@TheWoollybacksWife I'm now worried that I have bought a dud product because on reading it, it needs to be connected to a 2.4 ghz wifi network and I'm sure that was a problem for me before.

(Also many smart plugs mostly used for Christmas lights but also some of my lamps and the latest led colour changing strip lights which are under my 3.5yo cabin bed and he can turn on with the instruction 'Alexa turn on hippo' )

I got them for £20 as there was a £5 voucher but had a similar set from same brand that I got for £15 last Black Friday on an Amazon deal. DS loves them as gives his 'den' a great feel (though he is still annoyed he can't turn the colour to rainbow!)

My lightbulb works fine with Alexa, I followed instructions from my WiFi people for changing the network thingy to make it work

Our smart plugs are used for the Christmas tree too and the TV so it’s not left on standby. We need to get another floor lamp too because we used to have Alexa set up with a routine to come on at certain times of the evening so we always came home to a warm glow.
