Ooo that chocolate sounds amazing firefly! I've come up with a brilliant lunch for the dc: toast, tomato purée, grated cheese and sliced hot dog aka pizza Grin they will love it. Our shopping is coming tomorrow evening otherwise we would obviously go and get some food.

CrazyBaubles · 26/04/2020 12:06

70 I can't do random meals from whatever is on its use by date. If things don't 'go' it makes me feel weird Blush so I make them for DH

Firefly your engagement ring is beautiful. I wish now I had some coloured stones in mine rather than plain diamonds but I keep hinting at a colourful eternity ring.
My dream is to own an Art Deco cut canary diamond ring but excluding a lottery win it'll never happen!

Wreck your lunch idea is inspired, the dc will love that!

Neros I checked today and I was sent home from work on 18th March and haven't been anywhere except pharmacy, dropping shopping to parents / ILs since then.
I'm massively missing physically seeing my family and friends. I want a cwtch off my nephews and nieces.

I've just been filling DH. The staff at his school are making a silly video for the kids, basically they're doing a set amount of miles / flights of stairs to equal the walk the kids were planning to do for charity (between them) but doing silly outfits. DH has just been filmed walking the stairs in scuba gear, clicking his fingers and transforming into wearing one of my dresses, shaking his head in shock then clicking himself into running gear and running with the dog where we go for a walk 😂
It was silly but the kids will love it (and others were worse - they had a couple walking their dog dressed as both ends of a donkey, a granny and a Harry Potter running up the stairs on a broom) 😂

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 26/04/2020 12:45

It has arrived!

Have forgotten to keep you updated on my cross stitch! I want this one finished by autumn so I can do a Christmas one :)

Right, my new lot of spuds are in, as hopefully it should rain either later on or tomorrow - but probably on Tues when I go shopping Hmm which means DH doesn't have to water drown them.
Crazy the thought of my DH in a dress is pretty grim Grin It might need a bit of padding here and there.
Firefly love the ring, it's so unusual. He has excellent taste.
Good plan Wreck, any pizza based offering should be fine.
Nero we're spoilt with lots of supermarkets around us, so I've not had to queue at morrisons for more than half a minute while the handle of the trolley is cleaned for me Grin I draw the line at queuing around the car park at 8am to get into Sainsburys.
most have you bribed the Grumpy Man into making your planter?

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 26/04/2020 15:40

He helped :)

Fingers crossed for your potatoes boots!

That's amazing, Most! Loving your haul from the garden centre. I need some grow bags too really.

I'm already running out of space in the greenhouse. Partly due to some strawberry runners which have taken root in some growing space! 😂

Boots, good luck with the spuds!

Crazy, our kids' teachers have done a 'stay safe' video. I cried!!

Wreck, my two love pizza. I'm sure yours loved their lunch!

Most, I ❤️❤️ that cross stitch. I'm having a little break before my coo!

Firefly, I'd have posted some to you if I'd read your message before leaving the shop! I'm glad you're doing as well as is possible in the circs. When is your next scan?

We don't tend to do random meals or adhere to best before dates much. But, as my gran used to say: it all goes down the same way! 😂

pussycatinboots · 26/04/2020 17:41

I've had some rain Grin

FireflyGirl · 26/04/2020 17:58

No rain here yet - the BBC lied to me!

I hope there's some grow bags left once lockdown is lifted, otherwise I'll have to improvise for my tomatoes.

I appreciate the thought, Fluffy. I have my dating scan on Thursday. I have to go by myself, so I'm doubly nervous about it being bad news. Strange times 🤷

WreckTangled · 26/04/2020 17:58

It's been really warm here again today. Tomorrow looks similar then that's it.

Eugh. Monday tomorrow.

WreckTangled · 26/04/2020 17:59

Firefly we will all be there with you virtually!

NoWordForFluffy · 26/04/2020 19:05

Firefly, when I had my scan with DS I didn't feel pregnant at all anymore: no sickness, cramps, sore boobs, nothing (my first pregnancy was pukey / achey in the extreme!). I told this to the sonographer on my way in and said I was worried. As soon as she put the scanner on me she found his heartbeat and told me straight away, rather than do anything else first. I'm sure yours will do the same for you too.

As Wreck says, we'll all be with you in spirit!

I've just been to water the allotment / run the hoe over the bloody mares tail and bind weed.

My parsnip seeds are finally coming through; I'd almost given up on them. I've not been able to weed where they are for fear of annihilating them! Once they're bigger it'll be easier!

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 26/04/2020 20:02

Hi everyone. Hope you are all OK. You have been busy nattering since I was about last. No point taking a picture of my rings as just my wedding band looks pretty boring 😂

Have been cleaning and washing (very exciting I know) and had a food delivery from Morrisons with no cheese. My daughter will have a hissy fit. She is my cheese addict offspring.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/04/2020 21:57

DH is watching "San Andreas" on ITV2 ......absolutely no point in watching it , I can guess the outcome from the first 10 minutes ........but .. The Rock is in it and he is very pleasing to mine eyes .

He is a pretty good comedy actor too, we watched Jumanji 1+2 recently and he does a pretty good "smouldering" while completely sending himself up Xmas Grin

Off to search out other Dwayne The Rock Johnson films ... Hmmm I think I'll pass on the Fast&Furious ones .

CrazyBaubles · 27/04/2020 02:57

🎄242🎄

most your cross stitch looks really good!

Firefly we'll be thinking of you during your scan

Welcome back why

70 if you can handle rubbish tv, The Rock is in a show called Ballers. Or you could just watch the Baywatch film 🤔

I've been woken up by a nosebleed which was delightful as I'm sure you can imagine. Now back in bed, unable to sleep so about to watch a very old episode of Silent Witness. Gruesome but I find it oddly relaxing 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 27/04/2020 08:11

Morning!

Sunny again here but cooler as well. We were forecast rain last night, but the prediction has lessened from 80% chance of heavy rain down to 40% chance of light rain by the time we went to bed. Then no rain came!

Crazy, did you watch RatW? What an ending! I didn't mind who won, but I did have a slight order of preference!

Was it an episode of SW before the programme went silly? We gave up on it when they started getting way more involved than they would / should in real life!

Do you destroy pillows etc with your nosebleeds? I hope you're recovered now.

My friend had a brilliant exchange with The Rock on Twitter involving the 🤔 emoji. I think they're Twitter mates now as The Rock said happy birthday to him last year! 😁

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 27/04/2020 08:22

Morning 😊 My sleep was shocking, I'm hoping I can squeeze a nap into my very busy (not) schedule!

Fluffy DH made us watch the final RATW as soon as it started rather than a bit late like we normally do. The finish was so close, I was really tense watching it.
I didn't want the winners to get it tbh, I wanted the people who came second to win. Very nice of them to donate half their winnings though.

The Silent Witness was series 6 so it's a very old one. They're still more involved in the police investigation than they should be but nothing like it is now.

I used to destroy pillows, pjs etc but I've had nosebleeds for so long that if they start when I'm asleep I automatically throw my head backwards and chuck myself out of bed 😂 I often sort of 'come around' to find I'm already stood in the bathroom. I bloody hate them though, I end up hot and with a headache after which is why I struggled to get back to sleep.

I really like the Rock, I've seen a lot of interviews with and about him and I think he's a nice guy - he's always so polite to reporters and I've never known anyone who's met / worked with him say anything bad.

I'm still in bed. I have a work video call with my boss today and plan to possibly paint the bathroom (it just needs a touch up). Then I'm determined to finish my Christmas tree - I've had to learn how to crochet the crocodile stitch and it's a bit of a pain so it's going to need a good few hours spent on it today.

Mrsmadevans · 27/04/2020 08:54

Morning everyone 😀
Hope you are ok now Crazy sounds scary sweetie 💐 can't wait to see your tree 😁
Fluffy l don't even know who the rock is tbh 🙄 l am a bit behind l think 😂
You are so lucky it's sunny with you l am bloody frozen here 🙄🥶
Fire good luck with the scan m'dear an sure you will be absolutely fine and baby too 💐🙏🤞🤗
Criky l am a bit fed up this morning . I am normally very positive l think but even l have finally had enough. Life is absolutely shit at the minute isn't it ?
Well there we are l have had me moan , normal service will resume l am sure 🙄🤯🤞🙏
Off to Mum & Bob's soon .
Hope everyone is ok take care ❤️

Mrsmadevans · 27/04/2020 08:58

BJ is going to do an announcement in a few mins, wonder what he is going to say .l suspect he is going to ease things 🤔

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/04/2020 09:12

We are all here for you fire!

Hope you feel better soon crazy, must have been a horrible way to wake up!

I used to love SW but as you say it just got too far fetched :(

NoWordForFluffy · 27/04/2020 09:36

I don't think they're able to ease yet and they certainly won't go it before the bank holiday weekend(s) next month. The next review isn't until 7 May anyway.

He's essentially responding to the utterly lovely Keir Starmer's letter.

I'm just walking to the allotment. It's finish the grass digging day!

It's not warm, despite being sunny, Mrs!

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 27/04/2020 09:52

Ahh l forgive you then Fluffy 😂

FireflyGirl · 27/04/2020 11:27

Thanks for the support, everyone. It's much appreciated.

Crazy I remember seeing a very young Benedict Cumberbatch in one episode of SW, died of a drug overdose I believe.

FireflyGirl · 27/04/2020 11:29

Also, an advert for this popped up on my Facebook, and I thought this thread was the perfect place for it Grin

Thinking of you Fire. What time is your appointment?

We had rain last night! I was so excited this morning when I saw it, but it has brightened up now. Looks to be another nice day.
