must be the angle/lighting Grin and that the rings are chunky and a size too small.

pussycatinboots · 25/04/2020 08:43

I will eventually. I've dropped hints about new ones for my 50th, so DH has a white to warn the moths in his wallet Grin

pussycatinboots · 25/04/2020 08:43

while not white.
told ya, fat fingers!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 25/04/2020 08:49

Love your selection of rings boots!

I can't find my engagement ring at the moment Fluffy :( I really only wear the eternity during the warmer months as my fingers swell horribly and it has a looser fit. In the winter I have the opposite problem and they all spin round my finger and I worry about them all falling off. I need rings I can adjust Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 25/04/2020 08:53

Mine spin all year, other than the hottest days! They come off in my gloves quite often so I try to not extend my fingers when out and about in the cold!

I'm sure your engagement ring will appear; these things have a habit of appearing in the strangest places.

My nails are awful at the moment, that photo is from last summer when I got them cleaned Grin

Boots I wanted a bigger diamond Grin I agree your fingers don't look fat, I have wide knuckles and my sisters always used to call me chipolata fingers when I was younger Sad and matchstick legs

WreckTangled · 25/04/2020 08:55

I got mine resized last year, it wasn't too expensive I had to have them two sizes smaller and they're much better now. Before that they used to fall off in Aldi because it's always so cold in there so when I was rushing to pack they'd fly off my finger!

Mrsmadevans · 25/04/2020 09:07

Morning everyone 😀
All your rings are beautiful and as for your hands well they are so pretty and well cared for compared to mine l am ashamed 🙄🤯😩☹️ mine are arthritic as hell , my knuckles are like big wood knots and l have written on my hand in a terrible cheap felt tip, so cheap it was probably illegal and faulty & l can't get it off despite the handwashing 😂😂😂 SMH
Off to see to Mum & Bob in a bit . Need to take more prawns for his cats 🙄😁, washing from Mum's to Bob's to bloody iron l hate ironing and the lamb stew l made for their dindins he didn't like 🙄😓 so as their punishment they are having a bloody salad . Serve them right! 😂
Hope everything is ok with us all, it sounds as if we are all ok but vere vere busy 😀🤗
Will be back LTR 🤗

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/04/2020 09:25

Ahh Happy Rudolph Day Xmas Grin

I sometimes skim over the "show me your rings" threads on Style&Beauty , but they're all full of DH designed and chose this ring for me and it's perfect or DH went down a 900ft mine in Zambia and hewed this diamond out of a coal face with his bare teeth then swallowed it so he could bring it back without loosing it posts .

I'm much more an earring person, I can only wear a wedding band at work (Infection Control) and my nails are rubbishy .

DD is applying for Law at University , we were reading some of the dress code and one point was "No Cheap Jewelllry"
I bought her some 9ct gold tiny hoops (set with Diamonique natch ) they would barely fit the tip of my pinkie , the goldsmithery must be done under a microscope .
I looked online but I know with QVC they will exchange/refund earrings . DD is delighted with her "CourtRoom Earrings" (they were a present for good mock results which now cross fingers will be basis for her estimated grades . She has worked really hard these last two years , Bless her)

I'm off to do some laundry and make some pancakes .
I cleared a shelf for my new food vacuum kitchen appliance to live on. Xmas Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/04/2020 09:28

There are jewellry ranges on QVC that are not cheap (far from it) that look like you gave a three year old a bag of beads and a string and said " Go ahead" .

Some real Emporers New Clothes items on there , I think the presenters are hiding their "What The Jeff" faces and the models are thinking "I am not paid enough for this "

Mrsmadevans · 25/04/2020 09:40

Well done to your DD 70 am loving and laughing over the description of the beautiful rings hewn with their own teeth attention seeking boastful behaviour 😂😂
That is one thing I love about us all here we are not a bit like that ❤️

NoWordForFluffy · 25/04/2020 09:41

Unfortunately money can't buy taste, 70! 😂😂

Good luck to your DD! I think she's mad doing law, personally!

Mrs hope the oldies enjoy their "punishment salad" Grin
Wreck trust me, they've never been what you would call elegant.

Mrsmadevans · 25/04/2020 10:22

😂 trouble is Boot they probably will the ungrateful bgrs 😂

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/04/2020 10:29

My rings taken for the "How old are your hands" thread. I don't take my rings off I can't. They are 18ct - my eternity ring was a present from DH for having DD1 and it was only on here that I discovered the term "push present". In reality it was my DB's ex wife who told him that eternity rings were traditional presents for either the first anniversary or on the birth of the first baby - she did like her etiquette. I'm very envious of all the slim fingers and your rings are beautiful Wreck.

70 I daren't watch QVC else I'd buy ALL their craft stuff.

Happy allotmenting Fluffy and I'm also 🤣 at the punishment salad MrsMad.

Boots I've got sapphire earrings like your ring that were a 21st birthday present from my parents. I don't wear them as much as I should - my mum bought me diamond hoops for my 40th that are my everyday earrings.

Morning all.

These are my rings. Just white gold wedding band a one stone engagement ring.

It's supposed to be a beautiful day here but so far it's very overcast.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 25/04/2020 10:56

Loving all these rings :)

Lovely here, am sitting in the garden enjoying the sun :) My first second early potatoes have started to appear. Also this morning I have 9 broccolis and 6 cabbages so very happy.

Had a new bin store arrive so our recycling bins now look nice and tidy on our drive not a complete mess.

No sign of the garden centre delivery though. Really hoped it would arrive for the weekend as I could really get on then, time during the week is more limited.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/04/2020 11:15

Woolly you'll be safe with QVC they don't do craft hours now Xmas Sad

There used to be cards with Dawn Bibby and Bucilla felt sewing kits . I bought a tree skirt with teddy bears on a train going round the edge -it took forever there were so many pieces to cut and sew . There were outlines where to sew onto and a colour/number for each piece ...plus a milliontey sequins and beads .

It's in the attic for safe keeping (I'll foist it onto DD when she leaves home . DS doesn't do Christmas )

I've just found a Bucilla website , off to browse ..........

pussycatinboots · 25/04/2020 13:12

most have you tried to phone or email them? I'd be equally impatient Grin
Neros I think some of your overcastness (new word) has skipped over to me, it's gone quite hazy/v light cloud.
Woolly you might want to visit a jeweller (post lockdown obvs)and ask about getting the rings off...trust me, it's easier now than in a rush. 70 is right, there's no craft stuff on QVC and hasn't been for years now. It's all clothes, make-up and gardening. Oh, and the odd pie or candle HmmGrin

I wonder if Mrs has thrown salad at her Mum and Bob yet? Grin I'll bet there was a complaint about plastic ham Wink

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/04/2020 14:02

I've just taken them off to prove I can. My fingers swell a bit in warm weather but a bit of cold water sorts that out.

pussycatinboots · 25/04/2020 14:07

Woolly good! My auntie had to have her wedding ring cut off and it really upset her and went straight through the hallmark (and hurt quite a bit), maybe have the rings stretched half a size at some point?
Just a thought...will you be able to get them back on?

NerosFiddle · 25/04/2020 15:06

Boots as soon as I wrote that it was overcast, the sun came out and is now splitting the stones.

I'm sitting in a dark corner of the living room while everyone else is out in the garden. I can't deal with the sun. If we could just skip forward to September I'd be quite happy.

pussycatinboots · 25/04/2020 15:27

Neros me to Smile DH has been sitting out in the sun - that like you, appeared as soon as i posted - and looks like a beetroot! It's boiling out there! I'm hiding in the living room where it's fairly cool.
Bored with summer now, when's autumn? Grin

WreckTangled · 25/04/2020 15:33

It's not that warm here my phone says 17°. I've been sitting out in it for ages. Need to put the bedding back on the beds though (I used the tumble dryer after seeing the thick layer of pollen on the outside table).

Where's pj and firefly? I assume pj is knackered from work..hope firefly is ok.

Mrsmadevans · 25/04/2020 16:36

Boiling hot here 20C Grin. I have been to Mum & Bob's, done their ironing , put it all away, fed the cats , talked sternly to the pair of them because they had a row Hmm
Boot Didn't do them a salad, so have not thrown the 'plakstik ham' at them yet that is for tomorrow now Grin gave Mum a Marks fruity curry ready meal and Bob a braised steak & mash meal from Marks with broccoli /cauliflower to do for them as well. They rowed because they didn't communicate properly to each other.
Same old same old Hmm
Wreck don't blame you using the tumble the pollen has made my eyes run and run they are so red Hmm
PJ is in work this weekend l think & Fire was on here and the pregnancy thread on the 23rd so it's not too long ago Smile
Beautiful hands, fingers, nails and rings beautiful!. l love them all. l just wish they were my hands and not the maulers have been blessed with lol Grin
