Most that's a lovely outdoor seating. I don't really like slow worms but I wouldn't do anything to hurt them 🤗
Crazy well done all the cleaning 🤗
I love mosaic tile floors they are beautiful 😍.I hope the funeral goes ok, it's very sad for everyone 😓 well done to crocheting the daffodils, they will be so comforting for them all 🤗
I hope darling husband relative is still ok too 🤗
On a lighter note, great plan not to go and help with the strimming , guaranteed argument narrowly missed well done 😂😂😂
Fluffy glad you had a good session in Sainsbury's and well done on going to the allotment and feeding the birds , our birds seem to be eating less I don't know why but my husband reckons they are too busy too eat 🤯
Fire lovely plans for the strawberry plants, good luck with your gutter experiment as well. Sounds like a very good idea to me 🤗
Woolley that afternoon tea looked lovely , you worked really hard 👏👏👏.I hope you had a lovely day. Happy birthday to your DDaughter bless her 🥳🧁🍰🎁🎂🎈🎉🕯️
Boot 50kg bags of bird seed oh my god ! No wonder you've got a bad neck !! Even my husband doesn't do that , it is 25 or 20 kgs is his maximums. Well done with all the gardening, picking the horrible putrid potato up , it's a bit like horrible dishwasher cleaning mess yuck 🤮🤮🤮
Nero you can have a slice of lemon pie if you want it 😋😋😋🤗 DH said it is lovely. I got to say I've never done it before but it is lovely. Well done on the Tesco slots I can't quite believe you managed to get two!! How did you manage to do that ??Have a quiet day and you'll soon feel better and quiche & salad sounds gorgeous 😋
Darling husband just come in with a mug full of the meatball Bolognese and he's going to tell me what it's like...DaDaDa 🥁 please 😂
He said it is very nice and he's carrying on eating it so must be alright 😂😂😂

pussycatinboots · 21/04/2020 16:06

Had a hot shower, now got a hot towel around my neck. I'm a bit hot Grin
Nero we had quiche and salad for lunch, but i forgot to buy coleslaw.
most did the grumpy man fall asleep? Wink
Mrs the bird seed was in 12.5kg sacks, but I'm sure the incredibly heavy cheap cat litter DH bought from Morrisons is heavier. Hauling that around hurts more as does stubbing your toe on it at 5am in the dark Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2020 16:07

11 hours Woolly?! Wow! Well done you! Envy

The tea looks amazing. I love your table too. Does it extend?

Boots, rotten spuds are one of the most vile things on the planet. Sorry, Mrs, I think they're way worse than dishwasher gunk and slime. Because of the smell. 🤮 Did they get too wet? I'd complain to the supplier.

Mrs, you've been busy. I feel hungry just thinking about all of that food. (I'm also hungry generally thanks to the digging!)

Well-avoided on the helping front, Most. It looks great (though I'm not sure about the grumpy bloke; he's not a selling feature!).

Crazy, the video link is a lovely idea. I hope you get all 10 done in time.

Definitely have a warm compress, Boots. And keep mobile. It's not moving that'll really scupper your if you're not careful. (Voice of experience.)

Firefly, did you get motivated? We're just getting flowers on our strawberry plants now. I foresee jam in the near future (unless they all get eaten first!).

Neros, quiche is yummy! Sounds perfectly fine to me. Smile Well done on the supermarket slots. Can you book more than 3 weeks' ahead?

I feel like I'm going very bloody slowly with this digging. It's so compacted and root-filled that it's a mission. The photo shows today's progress from where I finished on Sunday.

Oh, and here's my cross stitch. Maybe two more nights until it's done!

Crazy, did you avoid helping DH? It's always best not to join in, IMO.

DH has watered them a lot and they've had a bit of frost. TBH they didn't look the best when i put them in, but I won't buy any more like that, it'll be ordinary "eaters" from the supermarket from now on.

I know I need to keep moving. That's why my neck's a mess to start with that and falling through a trap door Shock

You can see how far you've come with the digging. Smile

Pic looks fab.

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2020 16:53

Ooh. Competition time: spot the pheasant in the allotment photos! 😂 🐦

Maybe the potatoes didn't like being watered? My poor allotment spuds have had no rain or water, other than DH on Sunday. Maybe they won't grow either! 😂

NerosFiddle · 21/04/2020 17:13

Mrs lemon is my favourite ingredient in dessert. I don't make it often because I'm the only who will eat it but I make a lemon and lime jelly triffle.

Boot next year I'll send you and fluffy and anyone else who has green fingers, some Irish potatoes. It's a stereotype for a reason Grin

I misjudged the dates for Tesco, but the last one is still 4 weeks away. My friend told me to go on at lunch time as she got one yesterday at that time. It worked!

pussycatinboots · 21/04/2020 17:35

Ooh, fluffy is he loitering near the fence post??

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2020 18:16

Yes! You win nothing the prize! 🏅

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 21/04/2020 19:38

I avoided the garden by pulling on rubber gloves and being surrounded by the contents of the cupboards under the sink while he was putting on his shoes. We agreed I would help if I finished my job first but the jobs mysteriously finished almost at the exact same time Grin

MrsMad if you have any lemon pie left I will definitely steal a slice - I love all lemon desserts & cakes

Lemon and lime jelly trifle Neros - why haven't I thought of that before?!

Fluffy you're so productive, the allotment and the cross stitch look brilliant.

I've finished the flower part of the daffodils, I just need to make stems now (pic attached).

I have a household tip request - I've removed the covers my pillows came in and they're off-white. I also have what should be 2 fluffy white towels with pastel coloured stars on which has gone a little grubby. How do I get them both to come out lovely and white please?

Try Napisan, Crazy. It does work wonders. I sometimes use it WITH Vanish powder for a double whammy.

Good going with your job today. I like your style!

The daffs are lovely. ❤️

Mrsmadevans · 21/04/2020 20:42

Boot l thought to myself, bloody hell how on Earth can Boot carry 50kgs😂😂😂
Hope your neck feels better now 🤞😺
Fluffy yes the smell would be worse you're right 🤮 😺
I can't see the bloody pheasant and l revved the pic up To 500% 😂
Allotment looking fab though you have worked so hard 🤗👏😺 l still can't see it despite the heads up from Boot 😂😂😂
Nero my DH loves lemon in anything, he has eaten best part of it 😂😋😋😋
Crazy those daffs are beautiful well done lovely girl 🤗🧡. Agree with Fluffy with the Napisan or l use soda crystals and soak them forever 😂
Excellent timing 😂😂😂

Mrsmadevans · 21/04/2020 20:52

Forgot to say you are welcome to my lemon pie anytime, if l can wrestle it from DH clutches Crazy 😂
Also meant to tell you all. I cooked Salmon, pots, leeks and carrots for Mum and Bob. I have never fried Salmon before but l decided to give it a go because of MasterChef 😁
So l fried the Salmon & Dd1 took their meals up with her and she said to Bob re the Salmon and he said he didn't like Salmon. So l said try it and see because you might like it fried. Anyway he bloody loved it. Mum said he even had what she left 😂😂
So l will be frying Salmon from now on for defo!!

TheWoollybacksWife · 21/04/2020 21:23

I love salmon MrsMad and I've converted DH. I marinade mine in a mixture of dark soy sauce and honey and then cook it in the oven and have it with roasted new potatoes and rocket salad. We have fish for dinner on a Friday and I could happily eat all the salmon myself.

Mrsmadevans · 21/04/2020 21:53

Woolly that sounds lovely Smile. l will do that for us next time we have Salmon, l don't think Bobilicious would like it having just recently converted him to liking fried Salmon Grin

FireflyGirl · 21/04/2020 22:33

I can't get on with fish, I keep trying, but it's just not chicken... Blush

Fluffy no motivation, I'm afraid. We've had a pretty lazy day all round, but I am justifying it because it's my birthday Grin. We even had takeaway for tea (well, DH and I did, DS had spaghetti Bolognese with some of my chips)

Crazy your jobs finished at the same time? Fancy that... Wink

Were you posting photos of food porn, Neros?

Lemon pie sounds lovely MrsM. My DM usually does DS me a cake on my birthday, but she obviously hasn't this year. She sent ice lollies last week, though, because I mentioned they helped me feel less sick and I couldn't get any in my online shop. DS has eaten the Fruit Pastilles ones, so I've been left with the cheap ones rest Grin How long until they go back to school?!?

Mrsmadevans · 21/04/2020 23:05

Fire Happy Birthday m'dear l just managed to get in before it flips over to tomorrow yay ! Flowers Star

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2020 23:07

DH only likes salmon if it's BBQ'd. He's not a fish fan!

If you fry chopped bacon in a little oil, take it out to drain and then fry the salmon in the bacony oil, it's lovely!

Firefly, happy birthday! You're definitely allowed to be lazy on your birthday. WRT ice lollies, my mum craved orange ice lollies when she was pregnant with me. By the time dad located some (summer of '76), she'd gone off the idea! 🙈😂

Mrs, left hand photo by the fence on the left!

I made chocolate chip cookies today. DD decided she didn't like them so I'm making a Victoria sponge for her tomorrow instead!

I'm sorry, Animal Crossing seems to be taking over my life.

Not to the extent of things being neglected at home of course Grin

WreckTangled · 22/04/2020 06:31

We have white pheasants round here. Black too. Once my dad had a golden one.

My uncle is in ITU Sad taken there last night via ambulance. Don't know anymore right now.

Another boring day ahead I'm sure.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/04/2020 07:34

Morning! We're still in bed, but DS is likely to be up soon, I think.

Wreck, sorry to hear about your uncle. Flowers Is it CV-19 or something else? He's in the best place for help at least.

Apparently we're getting an automatic car insurance refund of £25 due to lockdown. Nice to get something back!

Wreck, this pheasant is a beauty. He's annoying apparently as he eats crops. He's only eaten weeds so far for me though (of which I've plenty!).

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 22/04/2020 07:43

Will have to wait for the test to come back. The gp didn't think it was apparently but I would be 99% sure it is.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 22/04/2020 07:44

Great daffs crazy, so kind of you to make them :)

Your allotment is looking amazing fluffy! Also feel free to send the chocolate chip cookies my way if your DD is crazy enough not to want them!

So after being a grumpy sod building the garden sofa DH has offered to buy me the massive Veg Trug!!!!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 22/04/2020 07:45

Oh wreck missed the message about your uncle, I really hope he starts to recover soon Flowers

pussycatinboots · 22/04/2020 08:16

Flowers Wreck hope for better news today.

Crazy love the Daffodil they look really good.

Mrs I do salmon on a tray in the oven, but line the tray with foil so it pulls the skin off when it's cooked, DH seems to enjoy it and normally has most of mine too, as like Firefly I'd much rather have Chicken to any fish.

And belated happy birthday, Firefly Cake

fluffy I'm hoping that Aviva and Churchill follow suit. They should do it with house insurance too, as there must be fewer burglaries with most people cooped up at home.

most does it arrive pre-assembled, or does the Grumpy Man have to do it? Wink

I seem to have killed the AIBU "Mate and The Missus" thread Grin

NerosFiddle · 22/04/2020 09:44

Wreck I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. Hope for good mews today.

Fire it was not food porn sadly, my address was in the picture. Thanks to boots for letting me know.

I shaved dh hair last night. Didn't turn out too badly but I definitely don't have a career ahead of me.
