fleeced my tomatoes
That sounds extortionate Grin

I've eggs, flour, sugar, butter etc - just lacking a kick up the bum to bake..maybe tomorrow?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/04/2020 19:35

Neideregger Marzipan is lush (but only the plain one with dark chocolate ) . I bought a huge box in TKMaxx last year , you know when you queue and there's random tat just to tempt you .........it was a GiveAway price I tell you and a fairly decent Use By Date , which it had no danger of exceeding . But it's a Christmas and Easter treat or else it wouldn't be special.
Ritter Sport marzipan is a close runner up.

Our cats don't eat crisps but they'll storm over if the Philidelphia cheese puts in an appearance .

And one of our guinea-pigs loved to lick a tortilla chip Shock Chilli Heatwave . He went all weird and grunty nom nom nom .

NerosFiddle · 11/04/2020 19:52

I love marzipan. Yum yum Grin

I have wanted to bake but I can't find flour or sugar for love or money.

PJMasksGhekko · 11/04/2020 19:56

Talking of bonfires, I got to work and someone was having a bonfire in their garden and just behind there garden is some offices, guess what set the fire alarms off? O h yes the bonfire, 4 fire engines turned, we have no supervisor past 3pm, we got it sorted but it's a joke.

PJMasksGhekko · 11/04/2020 19:57

turned up!! Whoever was having the bonfire put it out very quickly when they realised they'd set the alarms off.

WreckTangled · 11/04/2020 20:35

His favourite is salt and vinegar but he also likes cheese and onion and prawn cocktail Grin he's also partial to a bit of broccoli Confused

PJMasksGhekko · 11/04/2020 20:40

I love your cat Wreck Grin

WreckTangled · 11/04/2020 20:54

He's pretty cool for a car Grin also a dog person he likes to watch the news too.

Boots, they look like Scooby Doo villains / ghosts! I'm definitely not extorting money from them I wish!

It's been a lovely afternoon in the warm greenhouse!

I should be able to get my first lot of peas and broad beans into the ground at the allotment on Monday. Shame there's no rain due soon though as I'll have to go every few days to water them.

PJ, I bet the idiot bonfire-lighters were mortified when the alarm went off!

Awwww what sort of cat is he? I want one Grin

The fire fighters did go to some gardens asking but they were a little further down, I'm sure the house was right behind the building, 4 engines though, we didn't know any codes to get into the building, and this is why we need a supervisor at least until 7pm.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 11/04/2020 22:44

Woohoo folks I have made it to my weekend off. Happy days.

Today just as I thought my job could get no stranger it did. I so love working in mental health it throws up some odd moments.

I have done nothing yet again to entertain you all with.

CrazyBaubles · 11/04/2020 22:57

puss your neighbour sounds awful, using PPE for house stuff then trying to demand more from the stretched NHS.

My neighbour has been drunk since lunchtime 🙄 He's a very unhappy man who hates us because we are "young, have dogs and rent so being the whole street down" (taken from an argument we had when we first moved in 😡

Wreck your cat is gorgeous and very fluffy.
Ddog leaves white hairs everywhere if we don't hoover him. We use the pipe and he likes it, he lies down as soon as you start and it's a battle to try and to his back end before it hits the floor 😂
Also, my friends cat loves (and will steal) Doritos!

Fluffy I'll be surprised if your still awake after your busy day.

PJ Did anyone point the fire engines in the direction of the idiot who has the fire?

why enjoy your break!!

I've been reliving my youth by watching That 70s Show - did any of you ever watch that?

PJMasksGhekko · 11/04/2020 23:21

crazy, they did go asking and looking, but the houses are right behind the building, which I suspect had the fire was, but they couldn't gain access too, to me they should have gone knocking to the houses who's gardens they couldn't see as now the trust will be getting charged.

PJMasksGhekko · 11/04/2020 23:28

My last comment made noooo sense

NoWordForFluffy · 11/04/2020 23:29

I'm awake. I've been cross stitching! It's not going to be fine by Easter, but soon!

Bed soon, however.

fluffy I'd have drawn a ghost on with a marker pen Grin Your pic will be finished in a week or so, so technically in the Easter break. Smile
Crazy Yep - not nice [angy]
Wreck Tilly watches the news, and loves things like "Springwatch" or an Attenborough documentary. Charlie was a bit freaked out by Harry the lion on Animal Park last week Blush Never leave food unattended, they'll nick it n lick it before you know!
PJ They needed to look for a man with a smouldering hose pipe Grin the stupid arse.
why have a good break.
Neros smaller shops might have some? The locusts haven't had the same strip to the bare shelf effect in them as they have in the big supermarkets.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 12/04/2020 06:08

Almost there fluffy!

One of our DCats loves a poppadom Grin

Planted most of my second early potatoes yesterday and sowed some peas :)

NoWordForFluffy · 12/04/2020 07:51

257 (I think; I feel we may need the annual rejig later this year!)

Gorgeous and sunny today!

Most, I put maincrop spuds in the other day; they're the only ones I'm doing. I need to do more peas soon too.

Oh my god. I need a new patio. 'D'H hid the kids' Easter eggs, but not the Moo Free bunny bars I bought in the same shop. Apparently I'm the one to blame for them going missing, despite not even knowing where the eggs are and it's my fault in the first place, so why am I blaming him? Angry

He doesn't they've had the bunny bars, but also doesn't know where they are as they weren't in the bag with the eggs (he put the eggs in the bag, not me). Arrgggghhh.

Grin I once carefully tucked away a Wallace and Gromit DVD for DH birthday (which he knew I'd bought)...I'd also been packing stuff up because we might be moving...I found it the following year, after I'd pretended to find it and bought a replacement Oops Blush Oh, and we didn't move house either. Grin
WreckTangled · 12/04/2020 08:17

PJ he's a rescue cat. Possibly Birman x Maine coon. He'd been in cats protection twice before we got him Angry

Crazy I used to watch that! Loved it

Fluffy I would be so mad! I hope he finds them Angry

DH is still in bed I need him to be up so I can do the egg hunt. The dc still think I haven't got them an egg because I told them I haven't been able to get one Grin

FireflyGirl · 12/04/2020 08:19

Morning all, happy Easter!

DS has been up since 6.50, but has been playing in his bedroom. I'm just about to announce that the Easter bunny has been. Had to hide the eggs for the hunt this morning, as I forgot where I put them...

pussycatinboots · 12/04/2020 08:22

Wreck sprinkle cheese and onion crisps on DH and get WreckCat to do the rest Wink that ought to get him out of bed!
I think there's def MC in him, a friend had a rescue MC and he was an enormous fluffy tabby.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 12/04/2020 08:30

Argh fluffy what a nightmare! You can borrow our patio, no bodies under there yet so plenty of room :)

DS loved the Easter Egg hunt and is majorly chuffed with his haul. I felt bad because he would normally get ones from ILs and nursery but it's just us this year but he is still perfectly happy :)

WreckTangled · 12/04/2020 08:41

My dc have fewer eggs too. Usually my sister, pil, bil x 2 etc all get them eggs. My dad gave us £20 to get something but we haven't been able to so we will save it for a treat once all of this is over. My mum gave them £5 each which I put in their bank accounts.

We always see my sister over Easter too. Haven't seen them since Christmas Sad

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 12/04/2020 08:49

Yes we always have ILs here for Easter as DH's birthday is tomorrow so it always falls around Easter time so we combine celebrations. Feels very odd without them and DH's birthday won't be the same :(
